the news of him being waived by the browns follows days of speculation that the team was hoping to pick up 49ers quarterback. he has expressed interest in playing for the browns. we'll have more on what the departure of johnny manziel means for the team. for firefighters in western areas of cuyahoga county it has been a long stretch. they're still recovering from a stressful 24 hours that began in an explosion in crocker park and then many of the same departments were called to a house fire in bay village. firefighters tells us two people were inside, one man made it out alive. the other person did not and was pronounced dead on the scene. >> i've done a number of fires like that but we all kind of

>> there are no details this afternoon on a major business story we are following. it's the purchase of first merit bank. huntington bank is planning to close 107 branches in our state. we have the story on the impact it would have for northeast ohio. >> reporter: almost half of the closures will be in northeast ohio that includes this branch just off of transportation boulevard. the announcement comes two months after a multi billion dollar deal was announced. 20 first merit and 8 locations set to shut down. officials say the branches will not close though until 2017. we're told all employees in good-standing will be offered jobs within the combined companies. the deal is expected to be finalized in the summer. we have a detailed list of the
