and because of the energy surrounding the presidential primary, an uptick for ballots cast. megan hickey has more on voter turnout. where is voter turnout been the highest? >> as of the last update from the board of elections, suburban voters had the highest turnouts and that is including 100,000 absentee ballots, they have to be postmarked by today or dropped off by 7:30 and i talked to plenty of voters that said they switched parties for the primaries and mostly that requested democratic ballots. >> i like our governor a lot and i honestly don't want democratic for the next 8 years ago. in my mind even though i'm a registered democrat. >> when i see a candidate that

as a country, you have to not stick with one specific party. >> now, less than an hour-and-a- half left at the polls and soon after that, we will have early numbers for you. live in cleveland, megan hickey, chris, back to you. okay. meggen, thanks. ohio election officials clearing up confusion. two spots to pick a candidate for the presidential race in 2015. the ohio republican party changed awarding delegates to a winner takes all process. those on the republican side need to fill out the first box called the delegates at large. election officials say the law still requires a second box for presidential candidates labeled district delegates. they will be totaled but won't count. the process is causing confusion. i did fill out the same name two times but again a few weeks ago i told my wife to pick her first choice and second choice because we were getting conflicting

will be removed anytime soon. it is not just the republican race that everyone has their eyes on and paying attention to. hillary clinton and bernie sanders had some relatively low key events with supporters this morning in north carolina clinton telling reporters that despite a heated ticket on the other side, she is proud of how their ticket is unfolding. >> i'm proud of the campaign that he and i have run because we have focused on the issues and that's what it has been about. not insults. as for bernie sanders, he has started his day off in chicago with a quick bite to eat and a few hand shakes and he told reporters he is confident that there will be a large voter turnout in his favor. a look at where the candidates are tonight as they wait for the polls to close. trump and clinton will be down the street from each other in palm beach florida. kaisch as we all know here behind me at baldwin wall list and ted cruz in houston and

sanders in phoenix, arizona. you still have a chance to go to the polls, 1 hour and 15 minutes. the polls close at 7:30 and keeping you updated all night long as a result start coming in. the doors open at 7:30. the event here starts at 8:00 and the governor wants the results come in will give his speech and hoping for a victory speech at baldwin wallace university. if he doesn't win ohio it is essentially ball game over. thank you very much, chris. while voting was happening on the west side, a poll worker pulled a gun after getting into an argument with other workers outside of the louisa alcott school. allen betha pulled the gun from his backpack but didn't point it at anyone.

wallace university. we will have 8 to ten p.m., a two hour special and live results coming up and carrying everything here from barea. live from baldwin wallace university. a news channel 5 investigation revealed a recent mistake made by the city of cleveland. electrical work signed off that shouldn't have been and inspectors were back out there and that's where we find jonathan walsh. fill us in on what happened. >> reporter: i was told by the city there would be no inspection if i decided to grab the camera right here and walk into this house on east 112th and follow around the inspectors inside. of course i didn't like that very much. but in the interest of getting the information that this house needs, i stood outside. our camera was there as the inspectors showed up. last week we documented

wires at the house and uncovered electrical box and questionable wiring in general. we captured discussions between the homeowner and inspectors outside and after 20 minutes the inspectors left. >> now that you guys are involved, they are showing more concern. >> charlene that doesn't want to use her last name toll me the inspectors took pictures and notes as opposed to the previous look-throughs. >> i am glad that you guys are involved. in hopes that i can get some justice. >> she explained the inspectors wondered that the contractor that left the wiring unfinished would be allowed back in. >> i don't have a problem with him coming back to do the work. i want a licensed electrician with him to make sure that work is done criminal. >> from the start of all of this charlene has said that she just wants a contractor to make sure her home is safe. >> he didn't calculate everything correctly, we could blow up the house. or either cause some electrical fire.
