bomber was arrested in a brussels suburb. >> and right now a raid and a man hundred under way in belgium because authorities believe that one of these three men is on the run. >> all three are believed to be suspects in the bombings at the airport. and we just learned an isis flag as well as nails and chemicals discovered at a home outside of brussels. 30 people killed and another 230 wounded as a result of the attacks and an official says an undetonated bomb was found inside the airport and authorities debt to nated it and investigators say that bombs were sophisticated. >> everyone had to run. everyone was scared. so everyone ran. >> investigators overseas are looking to see if the bombs match those used in the terrorist bombings in november. and here at home there are

how safe our transportation methods are and with the rnc in four months the spotlight is on cleveland. derick waller investigating the plans and getting details about additional security ahead of the rn c. >> reporter: yes as well as any response to the terror attacks abroad. no known threats in cleveland but still local police are making immediate visible changes. >> police canine patrol the airport unsecure areas before the ts acheck points. passengers will see more of that moving forward. interim director says the tsa is making changes. >> you will see more canine units and they have officers in plain clothes that observed any of the behavior.

program that allows fingerprinted passengers to employees will not undergo mandatory screenings. that is a vulnerability. >> having your employees screened before the airport is not a bad idea. >> today the department of homeland security announced that they will stop people of u.s. from brussels. but americans claiming to travel need to be vigilant and keep up on terror warnings. americans are targets and the safest place for americans is inside the country and not outside the country but doesn't mean you can travel. >> paul and his wife are keeping that in mine on their way to texas. >> i think as parents it makes us more aware. >> before kids they were in germany five years ago.

>> i would now because of the tensions in europe. >> we learned how the secret service is coordinating efforts. and in july there will be four to 5000 additional officers descending on cleveland and some permanently stationed at the airplane. we don't know how many. i also reached out to amtrak. they have been on heightened security alerts since 911. amtrak says they are deploying additional officers on the trains. live in cleveland hopkins international airport derick waller. you can expect to see large security presence at airports if you have flights. chicago and boston and jackson and all of new york city. the ny p d stepping up security around that city's major transit on the subway and train stations.

for new targets targets prompting a warning from local businesses. tracy, we have learned email schemes targeting individuals but now businesses? >> reporter: yes an f.b.i. agent says that over the past several months they have seen a number of complaints from businesses just sky rocket. >> just a few strokes unlocks the world possibilities on the internet businesses in all 50 states and 70 countries around the globe are targeted and that includes hundreds of companies right here in our area. supervisor special agent brian smith tells me there has been a 2 70% increase in this kind of cyber crime in the past year. >> these are multiple groups and some of them are nigerian and some eastern europe and the monies are going overseas. >> criminals realize instead of

a few thousand dollars from individuals they can build businesses out of big bucks if they fall for an email scheme. the criminal send an email from what appears to be the ceo of the company asking the worker and accounts payable department to do a wire transfer as soon as possible. but the employee doesn't know is it is fake because the criminals are clever and it looks real. >> when they reference the ceo is traveling and just got finished with a conference or heading out to a conference or something that is legitimately true. so the person has no reason to believe it is a legitimate email from the c f o. >> and making the cost of doing business higher. and if you suspect that you are a victim, you should make two phone calls, the first to the bank trying to stop the transfer and the second here for the f.b.i. in cleveland, tracy carloss,

newschannel 5. just weeks after an exclusive investigation our lawmakers are taking action to close loop holes in ohio laws that can allow violent abusers to keep possession of their guns but as investigator sarah buduson learned that even more needs to be done. >> reporter: the legislation at the state house in columbus today will help protect women from their abusers and this is just one of the steps needed to close the laws. in the last six months all three of these women murdered. the victims of domestic violence. our investigation found loopholes in ohio's laws allowed the abusers to continue to carry guns. >> every time we have reports

>> the group will travel to luxembourg and back home on the 28th. the plans have not changed as of yet. this just into our newsroom. one local school shutting its doors because of food poisoning. there is two confirmed cases and another being looked into by the portage county health department. >> the heroin problem in northeast ohio is affects more than just addicts. a mother toll newschannel 5 when her daughter had a seizure the ambulance did not have the equipment they needed and paramedics said it was the rise in the overdose calls. megan hickey what did you learn. >> reporter: the fire chief says the overdose reversal drug

responders have to keep more in spock. the 5-year-old patient received the appropriate drugs through an iv and chief matt sabo says the rise in overdoses have been a concern for his crews. the township has had two overdoses this year and he told me the numbers are up across lake county. it's not promising for the rest of this year. but we hope that with some collaboration with other partners in the community and the county that we may be able to get ahead of it and look at different programs throughout ohio that are working. >> concord township started a partnership with the lake county addiction board to work on ways to help patients overcome their addictions. megan hickey, newschannel 5. another round of primary elections under way and a handful of western states. another day for the presidential candidates. voters in arizona, utah and

hour by hour in the 50s for the most part as it won't be that cool. a mild night and breezy and any time we stay warmth time of the year normally you can count on the breezes and that will be the case. as we head through wednesday morning clouds and rain showers and mostly spotty and we will save the northern third tomorrow, best chances of getting wet weather, no thunder tomorrow. thursday and we will track rain and there you go. this is around lunchtime on thursday. showers and thunderstorms and the severe weather threat appears low and a cold front and maybe a few flakes for friday morning. anytime you talk about springtime and snow in the same sentence you have to show the snowfall forecast, i think that's a requirement in power 5. less than an inch for early friday. not a big deal. 49 tonight and clouds and mild and dry. looking at highs near 60s inland along the lake shore and maybe stuck in the low to mid- 50s.
