was romantically linked to two of his victims. megan spoke with friends and family members to find out how everyone was connected. >>reporter: family members tell me kisha was engaged when he murdered her last night before tracking down an ex-and shooting her as well. >> i can't believe this. oh my lord. i cannot believe this. >>reporter: where policeay year-old kisha benton was shot and killed by her fiance. he was checked her phone and accusing her of cleating. >> i thought they were arguing and nothing serious. >>reporter: bufford drove 40- miles to ex-ex-girlfriend's

he watched has he shot his ex- and current boyfriend. yellow police tape is all that's left of the violent scene and the trail of blood leading into the neighbor's yard. >> came across the front patio and across here. he was trying to get away from the shooter. >>reporter: how the buy friend used the car for cover when he was shot. >> we think he came and was kneeled done on the ground. he was bleeding heavily over here. >>reporter: the couple was conscious when they arrived at the hospital. they're in serious condition. the police picked up bufford's trail on i90 where he shot himself in the head. they haven't seen him in many years. he has no arrest record in northeast ohio.

police shoot and kill a robbery suspect after he tried to attack a suspect with a knife. police say the robbery suspect held a knife to a security guard's throat before running off. officers spotted a man who matched the suspect's description and approached him. that's when police say that man pulled a knife. >> struggle ensued, shots fired by the officers and we know we southeasted from results of shots fire. >> this is a fourth time a cincinnati officer shot and killed a suspect this year. new at 5, several police departments have been waiting for this. two people arrested after a smash and grab in strongsville that could be linked to dozens of crime. paul is live with what we know.

strongsville police are trying to figure this all out. are they connect today a string of similar crimes or coppy cats? water way they're behind bars the only thing. the latest smash and grab happened here at the 7/eleven. mo was similar that other match and grabs in northeast ohio. two robbers didn't get away. >> they've been arrested, they have not been charged so we won't be releasing any names yet. we're stil out what all to charge them with. >> the gas station was open at 4:00 a.m. this morning when the driver smashed into the store with a pickup truck. four men wearing masks hauled away the atm. police were nearby on patrol and chased the suspects 20- miles till the truck crashed in cleveland. two men arrested and two more got away. police are glad some of these have been caught. >> i'm very proud of our

girlfriend and her new boyfriend. they survived but are in critical condition. tracy is live from the fair view police department where police released new information in that case. tracy, what did they say about it? >>reporter: well, frank, police did tell me they have people of interest in this case but they believe it will take the puck lick to -- public to help solve it. >> she disappeared without a trace. >>reporter: and now 39 years later disappearance of ivonne remains the only cold case. this is a just released picture of what she might look like today. in 1977, she was a bubbly strawberry blond teenager working a job at the gas station about to smart her senior year of high school. bill was a detective on that case all those years ago and this is a case that still haunts him.

scorching 7500-acres. christie spoke be some of the people who live in the path of this fire. >>reporter: ferocious flames terrificking through hundreds of acres of drew -- tearing through hundreds of acres of dry brush. tankerrers drop lines of retardant as it threatens homes in the valley. jesus sent his family away but decided as possible. >> i've only been here about a year and this is like my dream house. the garden, the trees, the house so, yeah, it's tough. >>reporter: hundreds of firefighters are battling the blaze, taking defensive positions around homes. residents of the summitt valley area east of cedar springs were given mandatory evacuation orders. the fire broke out around noon

lake. 85 for greater cleveland to elyria. inland locations upper 80s to near 90s for akron. dew points, the relative humidity and moisture in the air, still pretty comfortable throughout the weekend. this will steadily rise throughout tomorrow afternoon. so dew points returning to that oppressive state. i amtraking a gust -- am tracking a gust front that started watching those high cumulus clouds build in the orange area that will continue to track south and east. probably noticing towering clouds but the moisture we're dealing with dry air, not allowing for moisture to really touch down in that area. radar not picking up the site of the rain fall. a few clouds working its way in from the south.
