19 people shot on monday including a ten-year-old boy. the boy survived. nine of the victims were killed making it the deadliest day in the city in 13 years. that's according to to the chicago tribune. at least 426 homicides this year. many of the victims have been children. now to the growing humanitarian crisis in syria. the u.n. says children in the city to have aleppo are at grave risk of disease for more than four days. some 2 million people are without vital supplies according to the u.n. now adding to the misery, temperatures have been above 100 degrees in the city all week long. and a high profile meeting between turkey's president and russia's president, the visit spended to send a message to turkey's leaders that allies in the west and whom he blames for what he considers a lack of support after a failed coupe.
