. good afternoon, this isly oon bi cleanup is underway after mother nature rolls severe storms through the area last night. mother nature did a sky high tap dance, which featured lightning and sparking the overnight skies. with all of it came the heavy rains and high winds, which toppled trees and knocked off power to thousands of people. many are waiting for the electricity to come back on. and let's turn to somara theodore. you're tracking more storms? >> yeah. >> and this afternoon into the

crazy weather. 84 degrees right now in euclid. 84 in bedford and 86 in peninsula. and so, it's 12:00 and it's already off to a very toasty start. only getting warmer throughout the day and we talked about lunchtime bringing with it a risk or chance of showers. you can see south of areas like ashland, seeing the green creep in and 83 in new london and 84 toward vermilion. and you can see the light the ground right now and traversing across areas like wayne county, richland, ashland county and stark county. into the later evening hours, that threat of showers and thunderstorms continues to linger. a lot like last night is what it's looking like. the storms, i am sorry, the heat during the day is going to build. we have the moisture in place in the atmosphere. all together, that is going to work to ignite the atmosphere. the thunderstorms are very possible again tonight,

overnight hours. the building was filled with smoke and a fire. there was some electrical damage. the school officials were examining the extent of the damage. the first day of school is a week from tomorrow. and an ohio prosecutor released video of an incident involving the 25-year-old man who was killed by cincinnati police earlier this week. the video shows porter punching a woman in the face and hitting a man inside a casino. the judge ruled he was mentally ill and incompetent to stand trl since flattie police said officers shot and killed him sunday after he lunged at officers with a knife. and now to the rice for the -- race for the white house. the controversy over trump's recent comments is not dieing down nor fading away. in his comments in the speech, trump insists he was not suggesting his supporters use violence against hillary clinton. still, clinton is pushing back. at the same time, supporters of trump are trying to spin his
