. we begin this noon hour with a story developing wayne county. a murder in orville. good afternoon, everybody. this is leon bibb. as we detailed on our good morning cleveland broadcast, a 21-year-old man was shot in the chest and it was around 7:30 last night in an apartment on north ella in orville and it was next to the high school. the police confirmed that paul claron, age 67, was arrested at the scene on murder charges. so far, we don't know the name of the victim and we're still working the story.

murder this week and this was at a taco bell drive-thru. rape police announced a $5,000 reward in the killing of robert neesak. someone shot and killed him during a robbery attempt on sunday night. there were no surveillance cameras in the area, and police have a vague description of the killer. >> and now, we turn to the all- important power of 5 weather forecast. and this is the scene from our city from far out of our city. we're looking at so far. and seeing sunshine. and meteorologist janessa webb is saying that that can change in time for the weekend. right, janessa? >> and we do have storms that come in, leon, early on sunday and we're still tracking that wet weather this afternoon. >> yeah. >> and it's pretty right now? >> and i want you to get out there and enjoy it as we track a few scattered storms this afternoon and we'll be on the isolated side and not going to be washout day at all and

sunshine and sun and the clouds mixed with the towering cumulous clouds starting to build across the area. the temperature as, cross the bord are on the warm side still and look at that humidity from this morning. we were in the lower 60s and have jumped up fairly quickly and there is the southwest breeze about 5 to 10 miles per hour and 5 live radar is picking up one little lonely spotty shower. just making its way to wayne county. moving west, excuse me, east fairly quickly here. no lightning is associated with it and we're tracking this big batch of moisture currently affecting chicago-green bay area and this tracks to the north and we're still tracking a few showers throughout the afternoon, as i said hour-by- hour, we'll see a bit of raindrops falling and the day time highs are in the 8s. i'll be back in a moment and we'll talk about severe weather

weekend. leon. >> thank you, janessa. and we'll touch base with you in a bit. new at the noon hour, we learned a local woman will go to prison for attacking her own mother. a judge gave joanna barns 7 years in prison. she pleaded guilty to felonious assault. the woman's sister had been sentenced for the same crime. the police said the women rocked usb -- wrapped usb chords around the mother's neck and one of the woman tried to smot and a news alert about the scandal surrounding ryan lochte and three teammates. they lied about being robbed while partying on sunday. moments ago, ryan lochte said sorry. and two men arrived in the u.s. and the fourth reached an agreement with brazilian authorities. marcy gonzalez brings us up to date on a story that has is had international implications. >> reporter: olympic swimmer

teammates were robbed at gunpoint in rio, posting on social media i want to apologize for my behavior last weekend for not being more careful and candid in how i described the events of the early morning. and he initially told nbc after a night of partying, the athletes were targeted by armed men posing as police. >> and he pulled out his gun and put it to my forehead. >> reporter: police in rio claim this surveillance video tells a different see one of the swimmers pull a sign off of the wall. he comes out of the bathroom where the gas station owner said they broke down the door and they're seen getting into the cab when they are confronted by this man, a gas station security officer who detained the athletes until they handed over $50 and the video cuts out for three minutes and they insisted it was in that time that they were held up at gunpoint and forced

updates on newschannel 5 starting today at 4:00. and a local school distribute is being sued by a student over the drug-testing policy. this morning, the sheffields, sheffield lake school district responded and she said her son was not allowed to participate in school activities after refusing to sign the concept form last year. she said the policy violates constitutional rights. >> if there is suspicion that somebody is doing drugs and you believe that someone is doing drugs, i don't have a problem with it. but you're -- the way this is set up is completely suspicionless. you're doing it without cause. >> and the district told us that the policy was meant to help educate students about drugs. the sheffield, sheffield lake district said that many parents thanked school leaders for the policy and that the supreme court upheld drug testing in

since last week. >> yeah. >> and had that severe weather and things have calmed down and we're seeing more sunshine and we have rain in the forecast and a cold front on sunday. >> okay. >> and so, get you on that and right now, you can see the sunny skies for downtown cleveland and they're cumulous clouds and continuing to build across the area, a sure sign we're seeing spotty weather across areas of the northeast ohio and the power of 5 showers are coming down from avon lake, north ridgeville to lorain and you're seeing a heavy downpour right now. no lightning associated with that and you can see more moisture is starting to pop up across the area, even stolen across 271 and into pepper pike, mooreland hills and you're seeing the clouds. definitely building out to that area and just a few lonely showers making its way east to the mansfield area and the good

moving out of the area fairly quickly. what i am tracking right now is widespread moisture that is affecting the chicago area. you can see it really is losing its force but some of that moisture is making its way to northeast ohio for our mid- afternoon. and temperatures across the board are starting to warm up. and i have a forecasted high of 85 and seeing temperatures very warm across lakeshore communities. upper 70s for tu and also in the last few hours, we have seen the humidity really rise here and we're back to that oppressive state across the area. 71 and that is the moisture in the air and probably have that ac cranking once again and the big weather story after we get over the spotty showers for today, to your saturday afternoon, we are tracking a very strong cold front that is going to provide us widespread

should have you prepared for that and let's talk about the showers for today across the area and you can see that they're on the light side from the 2:00 hour and things start to rev up here and that is that system to our northwest right now and that is on the scattered citizen and it moves in and out fairly quickly and that is not going to interrupt your evening plans and we start to dry out for your overnight before we start to tack about spotty showers again saturday. and today, forecasted high of 85 degrees and partly sunny skies. and just some sun and cloud mix. mostly cloudy tonight and 67. the warm air is in place and that should be a wonderful start to your weekend. unfortunately, we're going to track the wet weather to finish out the weekend and look at next week. a completely different weather pattern. a cooler air as that front moves through and we'll really
