if you wanted to squeeze in one more water park visit this year you might want to wildwater kingdom. it won't be around for much longer. there are a lot of road closures due to slide the city. we'll have more straight ahead. there are blue skies ahead in downtown cleveland. it might not stay that way all day long. it's muggy outside and you will notice that as you aide out the door.

working hand in hand about redeveloping the entire area. after looking at long-range plans it was time to close the park down. the news of the announcement came friday evening with the park posting this massage to their website. their last day of operation will be september fifth which is labor day this year. it opened as a stand alone water park were the lake closed do this news comes just one day after they announced major renovations. they planned to add three new water attractions plus a new restaurant. they have had mixed reviews. some say they saw this coming because of reduced attendance and others are disappointed to hear the news. the park opens today at 11 a.m.

>>reporter: that's right the news of the closure at wildwater kingdom came one day after they spoke about renovations they will make at soak city. they will add three new water attractions and a new restaurant. that's not the case here in aurora. wildwater kingdom will close for good in less than two weeks. the future of the area is already bein the company that owned wildwater kingdom has been working with aurora about redeveloping the site to benefit the community. this opened in 2008. the last day for wildwater kingdom will be monday september 5th. that's labor day this year. if you want to plan a trip you

the radar isn't picking up moisture near 90 for greater cleveland. this will be a short-lived event because we have the storm system moving in right now. it's causing heavy downpours for the chicago area. ahead of the front is the moisture. that tracks in about 7:00 tonight for the greater cleveland area. hour by hour you can see you can see the clouds working back in. we'll go with partly cloudy. it will definitely be a warm one. north east ohio residents have a lot of options when it comes to water parks. starting next year there will be one water park less to chose from. we'll have more on why this
