they are not everywhere. i looked up at the sky and saw all of those stars and yesterday we had the crescent moon and it was absolutely beautiful out there. let's get into these temperatures. 61 degrees in kirsten right now with 61 in sheridan and let's shift to the south and west and we have got 67 in ashland good morning, new london. the temperatures are only going to rise. we will go up to 90 degrees today with a very warm hot saturday. be sure to possibly go to the pool. we do have showers and thunderstorms for the overnight hours but throughout the day a nice mix of sun and clouds. our extended forecast shows takes a look at those rain

right now dozens of cats and other animals are getting extra love and attention. a total of 50 cats and dogs were moved from a hoarding situation in a cleveland home by the owner. the owner is now facing serious charges. they were malnourished and many covered in police. the president of the cleveland animal protective league said the city does not limit >> it is too many pets. >> the animals are calling the atl home. the shelter is well beyond capacity and many of the animals should be available for adoption in a few weeks. earlier this year at ohio passed a new open container law letting cities set of areas where people can drink out of sight.

meg, what is the latest we need to know? >> reporter: the cleveland city council would need to pass the application submitted by developers in the east bank of the flats. by law only two areas within the city of cleveland can be designated as open refreshment areas. developers first admitted -- submitted an application in may of the updated the petition. if passed, you could carry your beverages in a plastic bottle or cup by one of the licensed sellers in a designated area during a designated time. will say as long as people are kept within those areas, they are fight with it. >> we still have kids and families so you want to keep it

breaking news we can tell you about a 21-year-old told on the east side. police tell newschannel5 he was shot on east 123rd street after midnight. no word yet on any suspects. a police officer needs your help figuring out who is shooting at cars in cleveland heights. thursday we told you about one of those cases. we have received police reports for at least six areas. the drivers were sitting at a red light one windows for shot out. in one case a 1-year-old child was in the back seat when the window was shattered. a planned to get guns off the street and summit county put on hold as one group tries to raise enough money for incentives. a gun buyback program was supposed to start but organizers did not have to have enough money to get off of the ground. the plan was to offer gift
