it was a terrible ordeal for those children one and infant, the others 3 and 4. last night police made a rest of the woman's boyfriend. police say it was williams who kicked in the front door and went in the how shooting in akron. wounded was the 26 rolled mother of the 3 children. akron police that she had been shot several times. police say they were able to track williams, but there was a chase before he was taken into custody. williams tossed a gu the window. that gun was later determined to be stolen. the woman is hospitalized in serious condition. the 3 children are in custody of children services and summit county. we check with the police record of williams and he has a past which involves domestic violence. in cleveland, the rash of smash and grabs continue. the latest was a convenient store on west 85th street. they smashed through the

damage and also took off with the atm. elsewhere in the news, there was a car chase during the overnight hours of akron. 2 people were arrested. it began with the traffic stop on virginia avenue as a driver darted away there was a police chase for about 2 minutes. police said the 2 people in the car ditched in the vehicle and ran from the intersection of virginia and alert -- eller. both were grabbed by police. in the car was a big bag marijuana and a lot of cash. presidential candidates and there heavy hitters are speaking in ohio which plays a key role. today joe biden is slated to make a campaign stop in suburban parma. >> reporter: ohio proving just how important it is when it comes to presidential elections and the season proving no different. the members here getting ready
