easy weekend. i will be just tracking sunshine for the next 3 to 4 days as the bubble of high pressure takes over. i will call this one a perfect 10 weekend across the area. no need to travel. do a staycation. we are not picking up any rush to -- moisture. high pressur from west to east. high pressure is dominating the area across the board. that will track its way in throughout the rest of the weekend. the trade-off is cooler morning lows. reports from wayne county upper 40s, low 50s. definitely cooler air. you can see from the contours map the darker blue shows cooler air.

canting upper 50s. daytime highs by the noon hour, low 70s. nice and dry but slightly cooler. thousands of condemned homes and buildings all across northeast ohio need to come down. by the millions of taxpayer dollars meant to do it being used properly. >> elimination is vulnerable to abuse and more needs to be done to stop potential corruption with contracts. 5 on your side investigator joe pack and act this has been going over this federal report. >> reporter: the thriving communities institute has set up 40 land banks across ohio. now this bombshell federal report from the special inspector saying millions of dollars to land banks are

contract steering when it comes to the millions awarded to contractors for the demolition of condemned homes. >> there was no oversight. i did appear before the county council and i said, someone needs to be looking into how these demolitions are occurring. >> reporter: community activist went over hundreds of demolition contracts awarded by the cuyahoga >> they did send us information and it was a red flag. >> reporter: she says a company was given thousands of demolition jobs even though it was behind some $40,000 in property taxes. land bank ceo bill whitney admits a mistake was made. >> we terminated the contract for months later and we haven't used them since. >> reporter: what does whitney think of the inspector general's report that says the

things better. i don't know if you can ever be in our business and not be susceptible to something. >> whitney says the cuyahoga land bank is using strict standards from the department of housing and urban development. >> however, the federal report says many more protections against fraud are needed statewide. cleveland police need your help tracking down this man. he is the suspect in a pickpoet the marathon gas station at lorain avenue. the suspect had a baby when police that he took $75 from the victim's pocket. when the victim realized what had happened, the suspect threatened him. take another really good book at the tv. cleveland police need your help finding three guys. surveillance footage is very clear. two armed men went into

in the pacific, two war storms are creating problems. madeleine has been downgraded to a tropical storm. hurricane lester is still on the way. the storm is weakening but is expected to remain a hurricane as it passes the island saturday today and tomorrow. there is a surf warning. a lot of that tough weather country. we have gorgeous conditions. >> we have systems to our east and west and we continue to be very lucky. we have high pressure. that will make you happy. we do want to talk about that tropical depression on the east coast battering virginia.

been able to spend time outside for over a week. across from this mobile home park was a warehouse destroyed by a fire two weeks ago. cleanup is underway but crews haven't got to the 70 semi trailers full of ham that were in cold storage. as you can imagine without electricity, those hams are starting to rot. the smell is beyond band. no one has been able to give will be removed. in cincinnati, classmates are spreading a message of love. a 15-year-old student at the school took his own life. a group of kids decided they didn't want to suffer another loss like that. they spent eight hours after school putting together messages of love and support. >> see the students walk in this morning made me so happy. when i would see people smiling,
