more careful and think about other people's lives. >> the driver is in custody and we're learning that's not the only crime he is accused of committing. that man allegedly stole the car he was driving the same night of the crash. >> newschannel5's kristin volk following new developments right now in this vision. kristin. >> reporter: well, rob, cleveland police have identified the suspect as brian burns junior, a 19-year-old from cleveland. he was just arrested today after officers say behind me at cloverside and lee road, t-boning a maple heights woman, killing her as she headed home from her high school reunion. >> she was excited about going. she looked so beautiful. she looked so beautiful. and she looked like she was happy, getting back on with life. >> reporter: family tells me it was just two months ago that

died. but she wanted to go to her high school reunion, believing it with help her move on with life. that was saturday night, a night that started so well but ended so badly. these photos taken by this woman, a witness, shows shirley's car inside this brick building on lee road. the suspect's car sat wrecked on the street. this witness describes the sound of the crash as if a bomb had gone off. the scene even worse. she says she stayed shirley until help arrived, and it was a moment she says she will never forget. >> every day i manage to pray over my daughter and my family a little more and take time to buckle her seatbelt a little bit tighter every day. >> reporter: that witness tells me she believes the suspect was going about 95 miles per hour just seconds before the crash happened. that suspect is charged with aggravated robbery, receiving stolen property, and aggravated vehicular homicide. police tell us that he is in the hospital right now being

expected to be in court tomorrow. live in cleveland, kristin slow, newschannel5. >> kristin, thank you. new information about a standoff that forced evacuations in a twinsburg neighborhood. police are investigating last night's incident as a murder- suicide. officers say 58-year-old robert waltzer of twinsburg shot and killed 57-year-old jerry robinson outside his home sunday night. waltzer ran back inside, would not come out. after nearly five hours, teams entered that home and found waltzer dead, a gun lying next to his body. it is still unclear how the men knew each other. right now police in east cleveland are trying to track down two men who robbed and carjacked a driver at a gas station. it happened just before 11:00 friday night. this is a sunoco gas station on euclid avenue. video shows an armed man approaching the vehicle. the driver gets out of the car, another man robs him. the culprits then drive away. police tell us they have

but the car's expensive rims are missing. in canton a man is recovering after he was beaten and robbed outside his art gallery. newschannel5 spoke exclusively with the man who says he tried to stop two men from urinating on the side of the building but then they attacked him. he was knocked unconscious and suffered bleeding on his brain. he is hoping someone will come forward with information about his attackers so they can't hurt anyone else. and charges could be filed tomorrow involved in a domestic dispute that led to the death of a massillon man. police found the victim unresponsive at a home sunday morning. the incident is under investigation but police say it appears the man and the juvenile got into an argument and things turned physical. the man was taken to the hospital and died a short time later. next, a story we brought you first on 5. pieces of cleveland's history destroyed over the weekend.

erie street cemetery appear to have been intentionally smashed. take a look at the damage. neighbors believe it happened sometime over the weekend. erie street is cleveland's oldest cemetery. many of these markers date back to the civil war era. several monuments were toppled over, others uprooted. neighbors are shocked to see all the damage. >> it is cleveland's heritage. for somebody to come in and vandalize it what does that do? you knock over a bunch of statues. what does that help? >> w police. we have no word if an investigation is underway. now to the race for the white house. both presidential candidates are in ohio laboring for votes this labor day. hillary clinton, donald trump, and their running mates making a number of campaign stops in northeast ohio. both parties arrived in cleveland just before noon. their planes were parked next to each other on the tarmac but we're told clinton and trump never crossed paths.

if you took a trip this holliday weekend you probably noticed gas prices are down. in fact, prices are at their lowest levels since 2004. the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is 2.21. that is 20 cents cheaper than this time last year. since capacity prices were low all summer long the average u.s. household is expected to

but not all drivers are enjoying those lower gas prices. those who have cars that need mid grade or premium gas are paying more to fill up. >> investigator jonathan walsh is digging into that jump at the pump. >> reporter: paul bridge, like many people, drives a european car that says premium fuel only. it wasn't an issue until his most recent fill-up. >> when i got finished i looked at the receipt and went, gee, that seems a little high. >> reporter: he then realized the price of mid grade premium gas was a lot more premium than he ever remembers. >> so i checked the price differential between the low grade and premium, and i was stunned that it was 50 cents higher. >> reporter: like a lot of experienced drivers, paul remembers when gas used to be price in 10-cent increments so that a gallon of premium was never more than 20 cents more than a gallon of reg you lar. you won't catch it when you pull in because many stations now advertise only the price of

higher than regular, then it was 30 cents. but man it's jumped up to be 50 cents now, which is stunning. >> reporter: shell has some of the highest price differences, according to the tech blog cnet. we found shell regular at 2.24, but premium at $3.01. shell tells cnet that v power is costlier than other brands due to its lower friction and cleaning agents. gas buddy.com says premiums prices are up. you might want to check pump prices, not just sign prices before filling up. what else can you do? see if your car requires premium or just suggests it. if it is suggested, downgrade to mid grade. i'm investigator john than walsh, newschannel5. and parma is caring moratorium on ohio's new medical marijuana law which goes into effect this thursday. city officials plan to discuss
