final stretch of the uninner belt bridge construction project. there is a big step scheduled for later today and here's sarah phinney with our story. >> reporter: right now, odot can't say when the second bridge will reopen, but a spokeswoman tells us that the rest of the construction really depends on weather. let's talk about what is happening tonight. the crews will be working from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. pouring the deck, the surface and it's the seventh and final pour. it's also important to that even when the bridge opens this fall, only two of the five lanes will be used. odot needs about six weeks to unwind the detours and that means opening up ramps, redoing access from 176 north to the inner belt, and making changes on 490 and 77. >> there is a lot of work to be done after we open the bridge. and so, we do plan on having all lanes quote in the later fall. >> reporter: odot said when the

may have a better idea when exactly the second bridge will open and we'll keep you updated. sarah phinney, newschannel 5. and many thanks for your report. cleveland police are investigating another case of an attempted smash-and-grab where the would-be thieves went too far. the scene was the family dollar on east 185th street and canterbury road. and you can see an suv used to ram through the wall and door sitting inside the inside but when they raabe through -- rammed through, they went too far. the suv was stuck in the store. the thieves bail out the front window of the car and got away. the damage was significant in that family dollar store. and to the west side of cleveland, the police need help identifying the woman whose images were captured in these surveillance pictures. the woman broke through the glass door of pearl dental on airline road. once inside, she took several

like bulks of paper towels. if you know anything about either crime, call police. the smash-and-grab or this incident. either one of those. call police. and fast-moving flames rip through a house on the city's east side. this is the scene. fire crews worked quickly to get the blaze under control. the house was vacant and recently renovated. the damage was declared as a total loss. the officials are working to determine what the what sparked the fire. and let's check in on the weather how are we looking? >> and looking good on the west side. this camera explains it all. blue skies towards lorain we have ther. the fewer of five is picking up raindrops and you're on the dry side and looking a-okay. and i want to show you where the rain and heavy downpores are coming down in southern geauga county and into the

. new at the noon hour, a cincinnati attorney becomes the first lawyer in the country to take on the makers of the epipen. the manufacture sky rocketing price tags. the customers filed a lawsuit in hamilton county, ohio, trying to recover what they call overpayments to myellan, the manufacturer and followed the price hikes of the life- saving allergy medication devices. prices rose by 400%. the maker of epipen is offering its own generic version for $300, the half of the cost of the brand name version. and lawmakers return to work today and their to do list includes a bill to fund the federal response to zika. republicans and democrats are pointing the fingers at each other over the long-stalled bill. the director of the centers for disease control is warning his agency is almost out of money and needed to kill mosquitos and find the vaccine.

. a native in the dayton, ohio, area, brock turner arrived at the sheriff's office this morning. he was released from a california county jail last week and served three months of a six-month sentence for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman chime attending stanford university. the light sentence sparked national outrage. directed at the judge in california.
