right words to say it. i love these two gentlemen so much. they have been so instrumental in making me who i am as a musician, as a producer, and as a man. they've taught me so much. so, now, as i said, to come here full circle and to be able to present this award to my heroes -- they know what they mean to me. would give them the world if i owned it. please welcome our 2016 music innovators, presented by chevrolet, my friends, my brothers, jimmy jam and terry lewis.

thank you for teaching us so much, not only about the business, but also about being men, about being black men. there's no greater influence in our lives than you. and we're so happy. when you talk about -- jim talked about full circle. there couldn't be a better full circle than being honored on a night that you're also honored. so, thank you. welcome to the grand national roadster show. >> this show's a phenomenal show. we have 18 of america's most beautiful roadsters competing to get their name on the big trophy over there. >> our finished hot rod we brought for the competition is a '32 ford roadster. very vintagy, but lot of little variations on it to give it a creative edge. >> today we've brought a 1928 model a sedan. we brought a 1954 chevy that's a custom and we brought a 1932 ford roadster built in the style it would have been built in the late '30s. very traditional. >> this 1967 fairlane we put together we have in competition, this is an all aluminum, what they call a stock motor, single
