cleveland residents will have a chance to vote on a minimum wage increase. >> cleveland city council approved legislation that will put it on the ballot. we have more on this latebreaking development. we are talking about a huge increase. >> reporter: the minimum wage is $8.10 per hour. it would go to $12 per hour with a gradual increase to $15 this issue missed the november ballot but after tonight vote it will be on the special election ballot. if past it would phase-in raises starting january 2018. proponents argue it would harm local businesses. >> everybody is competent and everybody is looking forward to it.
