attack. the city of cleveland has imread to pay brown's family $375,000. only newschannel5 was on the scene as state investigators uncovered medical waste piled up inside a warehouse. >> that discovery happened in southern cuyahoga county. derick waller is live in walton hills. what did they find? >> reporter: you know, i just learned that they found 2,000 boxes labeled biohazard inside a loading dock of a company. it is tell me it is not threatening. walton hills police tape off this tower drive warehouse but inside no evidence of a crime so far. >> we're just waiting for the different agencies to give us official reports about what results they received. >> reporter: those agencies include a village building inspector, the sear district, public utility workers, and the ohio epa, all called here this morning because of a foul odor.

the building and noticed an odor so they asked our building inspectors to go out and look at the property. it was then that they had some questions about the storage of the different type of materials. >> reporter: hazardous medical waste. but we still don't know exactly what. the discovery was a surprise to a city inspector because the company that moved in apparently never filed an occupancy permit. sewer inspectors tested the water nearby and found no sign of contamination. but an continues. >> there's no threat to public health at this time. >> and i have calls out to find out exactly what was in those boxes as well as more about this company who walton hills apparently didn't know existed until today. live in walton hills, derick waller, newschannel5. breaking news now out of north carolina where the state's largest city is bracing for another night of violence. it follows the fatal police shooting of a black man.

late breaking developments. >> officials in charlotte are urging calm. they reiterated their position that the shooting of keith scott occurred because he posed a threat. scott's family says he was reading a book but no book was recovered at the scene, only a gun. at least 16 protesters and several police officers were injured after protests erupted after the shooting here. officers deployed tear gas into a crowd of protesters after individuals targeted police cruisers. at a news conference for the family a no justice. >> pointing to pick up his son and give him a hug. yesterday his son could not get that hug. >> the police chief says investigators are reviewing video from officers' body cameras. right now does it not appear the sphirn question was wearing camera at the time of the shooting. we will continue to watch the situation, though, and break any new developments on our news net 5 app, and of course we will have the latest tonight at 11:00. a protest also happening in

back with the latest on the investigation of suspected bomber ahmad rahami. he faces federal charges including use of a weapon of mass destruction for saturday's explosions in new york as well as new jersey. >> and tonight we are learning

for months. stephanie ramos has the latest. >> reporter: authorities say there is no doubt ahmad rahami is the man who planted the powerful bombs in new york and new jersey. fingerprints and forensic evidence connect rahami to the bomb that went off in new york, plus the bomb placed at a charity raines new jersey and a new jersey train station. the fbi is now looking for these two men seen in this surveillance picture. authorities believe the men appare luggage that contained one of the explosive devices allegedly planted by rahami. the suitcase had been left minutes before. the day rahami was charged his father told reporters he had warned the fbi years ago that his son was linked to terrorist. >> and what did you tell them? >> reporter: the fbi looked into it but did not investigate further. the father later denied the allegations. >> if i was part of the investigation at that point i would have asked why are we not
