news 5 underside now. >> we begin with a story we have been following for hours. a deadly shooting at the burger king on west 110 and lorraine avenue. we have details on the story. tracy, what can you tell us? >> reporter: it happened about 8:00 at this westside location of burger king. if you take a look behind me, you can see there is still yellow crime tape and police officers at the scene. police just told me a worker, a woman was killed.

bathroom with an apparent self- inflicted gunshot wound. police sources tell me this was not random and that the gunman and the woman knew each other. police confirmed to me this is an apparent murder suicide. you might remember it was this very same burger king where amanda berry works. she was on her way home when she was kidnapped by ariel castro and held for years by him. live in cleveland, tracy carloss news 5 a busy time for police elsewhere in twinsburg. police are investigating an armed robbery at the pinero restaurant on darrell road. a female worker was taking out the trash when she was approached at gunpoint by three males. the? then forced the employee back in the store, made her take money out of the safe, and then they fled the scene. if you know anything about the crime, you are asked to call

planning to protest right here at the parma board of education. according to this facebook group, peaceful protests for students, more than 300 students plan to walk in today's protest holding these signs. they are taking a stand on some dramatic cuts that could take effect next school year. just weeks ago, the district discovered a $15 million budget shortfall so to make up for it, the district plans to make some layoffs, close schools and cut back on academic programs. possibly the biggest change, create a super high school and turn valley forge and normandy into middle schools. the district must -- must submit a balanced budget by october 17. the student led protest is set to begin at 2:35 pm. the students say they plan to walk here and stay here until a special meeting begins at 5:30 pm. we are expecting a full house

>> reporter: mike pence is also expected to talk about the alicia machado controversy but the main goal for both men is to not mess things up for their presidential candidate. maggie really, news 5. >> we do appreciate your report. have a good day. let's check in on northeast ohio. here is janessa webb. it's looking pretty good. >> things have cleared up. we woke up to dense fog this morning. if you were driving around were headed to work, you noticed the low-lying clouds a lot of people are wondering what that is about. we have seen it for the last two days. we're dealing with cooler morning lows as it passes over a warm lake allowing the fog to really take hold of us. this will continue that seem for at least the next three days. get prepared for early morning fog but it's going to lift north and allow for all this goodness on your screen right

sunny skies, just a few clouds taking over northern ohio. take a look at our temperatures across the board. only area 70 degrees. temperatures warming up dealing with a southerly flow here that will allow our daytime highs to bounce back to the upper 70s this afternoon. high pressure taking a hold of us but we do have storm systems to our northwest. the central plains are dealing with a little severe weather and also that big hurricane that is brewing. hurricane matthew across i do want to talk about the stormtrac. you can see it's going to affect coastal areas of florida. you can see from this track it's still a category 4 but we're talking about sustained winds to about 150 miles per hour even though it is not making land in southern florida, that will stir up beach erosion and gusty conditions. our major concern is the outer banks from north carolina to
