making news in america this morning -- donald trump is questioning the e legitimacy of the election and going after even "saturday night live" accusing the show of doing a hit job. and another batch of hillary clinton e-mails released by wikileaks. what they say. office in north carolina fire-bombed. breaking overnight, the battle for mosul begins. alex marquardt is on the front lines. he's live with us with the latest. and, look at the dramatic rescue as people form a human chain to save a driver inside a flaming suv. and feeling the squeeze.

a good monday morning to all. we begin with donald trump unleashing a new wave of allegations before the third and final debate. >> trump is taking aim in every direction. gnaw poll shows the race is still close. with hillary clinton four points ahead, stl within the margin of error. trump is blaming clinton and the democrats for the fire-bombing of a local gop office in north carolina. and he's repeatedly firing off claims of a rigged election. stephanie ramos joins us with more. >> reporter: we're getting closer and closer to tend of the election. the candidates are not e slowing down. hillary clinton is gearing up for wednesday night's debate. while donald trump is back on twitter calling the election rigged. hillary clinton and donald trump taking very different approaches as they head into the final presidential debate just two days away.

these kurdish forces fire on to the isis operation below. they hope to make their advance toward the city of mosul. >> are you able to gauge the progress from where you are in terms of how this operation is going? and how important sit not only strategically but symbolically? >> reporter: it's hard to say how it's going. there's an ebb and a know when it comes to battle. for a couple of hours, t hot of mortars being fired. now it's calmed down a little bit. i'm looking from an elevated position in the hills. it's a flat plain. another reason it's hard to tell how it's going is there's a lot of smoke, between the air strikes, the artillery. you have isis burning oil and tires to create massive plumes of black smoke. it's hard to say how the battle is going.
