coach tonight at 11:00. oh, my god! oh, my god. >> a deadly officer-involved shooting caught on camera. a witness noticed something happening in the lowe's parking lot in willoughby and started rolling. police just released the name of the man killed hours after we spoke to the man who took that video. kristin was live on the scene. the suspect was wanted for drugs and escape. >> reporter: that's right, rob. he has been id sand0. r of cleveland. police say he had outstanding felony warrants from lake county as well as several other misdemeanor warrants. the man you are about to hear from witnessed sanders get shot and the moments that led up to it. the indistinguishable sound of gunshots fired off by a willoughby police officer, aimed at this suspect, frank sandor.

>> reporter: the shooting recorded by resident brandon richard. >> it was crazy. everything happen so fast. >> reporter: right after this 24-year-old pulled into this lowe's parking lot in willoughby to get dry wall. >> just driving by and noticed the officers here trying to use force. >> reporter: that force, he says, was in the form of two officers grabbing at sandor inside of the car to get him out. that's after willoughby police say the officers approached sandor receiving a tip that he was >> this is where i happened to stop as everything was happening. then that's when it happened. >> reporter: willoughby police say sandor gave them fake identification when the officers asked for it. then he threw the stolen car in reverse, striking the police motorcycle and officer on it. this statement just released adds that the officer shot at

and tried to flee. he drove away seconds after he was shot. >> he flew ever an embankment and crashed right into a car. i washed the mole thing. >> the officer suffered minor injuries. >> brandon richards says he never saw the officer get hit by that car. now, the names of both officers involved have not been released police here say they are both on paid administrative leave while this case is being investigated. i'm kristin volk, news 5. a cleveland contractor is defending itself against sloppy work after surveillance cameras got multiple cars driving right into the construction ditches. it's part of a repaving project on west 130th street. they are blaming the drivers. >> that's right.
