a night of horror after a police officer is stabbed and a police officer is forced to open fire on the man. this is video just into our newsroom. we were first on the scene. what did you find out? . >>reporter: police tape marked the scene at this subdivision in north royalton. a police officer was seriously injured but i'm injuries are not life threatening. two officers were responding to this home and the suspect became upset, pulled out a knife, and stabbed one ochtd officers in the face and leg. the officer's partner then shot the 45-year-old suspect. tonight his condition is unknown.
