washington to kick off the team coverage with one of the reasons that this election is so unprecedented. lauren, donald trump is still playing coy. he won't say won't he will accept the election results. >> frank, absolutely. even today we are hearing trump remain coy if he will accept the results of this election on election day. we heard on an interview he was asked on fox news and he said we will see how it plays out and not saying whether or not he would accept things turn out. and this of course all stems from his claims that we have her over weeks of campaigning concerns over a rigged election and it reached a fever pitch that at the final presidential debate he was asked that question as to whether or not he would accept the results that he was talking about, concerns over a rigged election and he said whether he would or want. he said i will keep you in suspension and then he said i

election if i win. this was where his daughter had said that she believed that her father would accept the results and in addition his running mate mike pence has said much but trump has not confirmed what reaction he will have particularly if it is close. >> trump has repeatedly talked about the vote being rigged. have we concerns about voter fraud or out at the polls todaysome. >> for most voters today at least as what we have seen from reports at the polls, they have had no problems, it has been without incident and the issues that have arresten and reported are the kinds of things that we would expect to see every four years. and people not reflected on voter rolls and machine malfunctions and other cases things like that but not anything atypical.

in texas there is machine problems and in utah they had to use paper ballots but nothing like a red flag that trump has raised concerns and i think it is important to point out that prominent elected officials on both sides of the aisle and election officials and expert on the topic have said that his concerns are pretty unfounded. lauren lister live from washington d.c., thanks a bunch there. and as we continue our election day coverage at we will take you live to hillary clinton and donald trump's new york headquarters to see how each nominee is spending election night. >> coming up in ten minutes but we want to go to news 5 anchor rob powers from the gunning park recreation center that people are still lining up to vote. reporter: they are indeed, lee. we've seen reports of long lines everywhere in northeast ohio and that is really no

early voting period. ohio secretary of state john hughes says 8.1 million ohioans voted early and that's up 11,000 from early voting in the 2002 or 2012 election. once absentee ballots are mailed, that will get bigger. the voters behind me have a lot more than the next president to vote on, on their minds. there is a tax increase on the ballot for cleveland voters, issue 32 would raise the tax from that's the city's hike in two decades. it would applies to anyone that works in the city if approved by voters the half point increase would generate 80 million-dollars a year for the city and the civilian police review board is in the hands of voters. issue 33 is an effort to change the makeup of the board. it doesn't address the review's board sister agency, the office of professional standards. that office is charged with investigating citizen complaints.

to help addicts. issue 35 would cost homeowners $32 a year. it would offer more programs and hire more additional social workers. and there is issue 64 in lakewood voters deciding the fate of lake wood hospital. they want to replace it with calendar outcenter and emergency room. a vote 4 issue 64 would allow cleveland clinic to move ahead. now i know th you still have questions on any of that regarding the issues, what your vote would mean in any one of those, you can check them out on our news 5 app, they are there all the way through tonight. frank and lee. so-called poll observers are out in force watching for potential fraud but who is watching the watchers. derrick wall is live at the

>> lorainne county board board of elections paul adams says this. >> the observers are there to see the process and see it it up close. reporter: but not allowed to interrupt the voting process. anyone with a concern should call his office. the same for cuyahoga county where paid poll rovers are randomly checking in on polling >> knowing that there is multiple check points in the process i think it lends itself to a valid counting of votes. >> and i did also ask to speak with those democratic poll watchers at the polls and they told me they were not allowed to speak to reporters. now it is also worth noting that the poll watchers are allowed to be there when the people are still voting, once that ends they have to leave too. derrick waller, news 5.

investigating. news 5 investigators are listening to you the voters and some of the problems this election day. on your side investigator jonathan walsh joins us. jonathan, you have more information on a voter making threats about a gun at a polling place. >> yeah, the cuyahoga county board of elections says that they had to call in the sheriff's department after a voter, not sure if it was a man or woman, after a voter said he or she would bring back a gun because he or she was extra security was added and no incident to report and investigators say that they don't know the name of this voter just yet. they are still working on it. now to a different situation on the west side where a voter told us that he had problems with polling workers and he feels that they didn't know the rules. >> i think it is important people have died to give us the right to vote. >> we will call himbob, not his real name, he didn't want his

vote. >> i don't think it should be taken lightly. >> is upset because at this polling place he handed a poll worker this card saying where to go on election day and what id is needed. he said the worker didn't ask for his id. after voting he told a poll about what happened and he said he was causing problems. >> i said i am concerned and she got in my face. >> he call several places including the second of state to complain to be bounced around several times. and about other ids that might have been missed. an. >> one of the people that were at the table really believed that id that i got in the meal was the proper id. where is the training. they tell me they are trained but i feel bad for the guy. you know what i mean? i didn't mean to call him out but he honestly believed that was the proper form of id. >> in addition to voter id concerns, the cuyahoga county

we have at our news 5 war room. breaking down the key races over the course of the last 12 years especially. when you study them you get a pretty good indication of how results will go based on how pass results have turned out. we will know early on at 7:45 or 8:00 when we look at the numbers how things are trending in the state. take president obama for example. he won cuyahoga county and in 2008 by 258 and then 2012 by 25 kerry did it by 226. was not enough. you need a certain percentage, a margin coming out of the state and will have a pretty good indication how that will work out for hillary clinton. we will break it down for you on our news 5 app and we will have complete coverage of that plus the other races going on across the state and across cuyahoga county with the key issue. voters think of one situation as a worse case

her family is heart broken and as you might imagine desperate to find her. they are looking for clues and closure. erica hall's family describes her as happy, loving and bright and they explained to me that drugs took the 22-year-old to a dark place. after erica's dad died. she became addicted to painkillers and heroin. the last time in february. >> it never leaves your mind. i just want closure for me and my girls and i don't want us to live like this. >> canton police started to look for erica shortly after she vanished. the u.s. marshals joined the hunt when a warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to show up for a court date. they both fear that she is in danger. >> i think it is likely that erica is hurt or kidnapped or
