and summit county about another 10. friday afternoon, 30 to 40 degrees temperature drop and really feeling like winter. the first snow of the year always means the mess on the roads. meg shaw has been driving run in the area. how the roads look right now? where are you at? >> reporter: we are on 422 e. headed toward burton. i know janess snow was this morning about 3 inches fell there and that is where we are headed right now. again, we're on 420 e.. again, we're on 420 e. i wanted to you guys around to show you what the road to look like. the biggest story is the wind . as you can see, the trees are kind of blocking us right now here on 422, but once you hit that open field that is when you hit -- you will feel the wind hit the car and shifts you around a little bit.

good morning, we have the snow we saw a lot. i want to show you from our live radar right now that you can see the ground level is really want. any accumulation that we are seeing is on grassy areas. let's take a look, we can see trace amounts for greater cleveland even in lorraine up to 2 inches of accumulation. 3 to inches of accumulation. 3 to 44 ashtabula. we're still tracking a little more snow. things will start to dry out for your afternoon. if you're headed to first energy, we are going to go ahead and grab that wind but it will be in the cold weather and blustery wind still picking up out of the northwest about 20 miles-per- hour. we do have that wind advisory until 4 a clock. better have those layers. news from around ohio, newly proposed legislation would create an online registry

starting to let up so it is on the light side for summit county to the canton area. we're seeing i have your band for southern geauga county. this is moderate snowfall for northern portage county, but it is going to be moving out fairly quickly even lorraine to north ridgeville you are seeing a few flakes but it is on the isolated side. let me get out of the way to the west right now. do see all of that goodness? that is dry air. it will continue to work in throughout your possibility of a little bit of lake affect snow. the winds will continue out of the west from your wind forecast. we can see all the way up to about 20 miles-per-hour. this is around 6:00 so a westerly breeze will continue throughout your evening and things will finally start to subside as we step into tomorrow. my tailgaters of this morning you better stay strong out there because the winds are blustery. the cold is in place

and conditions and janessa webb is hard at work in the weather center. how do things look outside right now? >> it is a chilly one and we're still tracking snow on the power 5. this is that 12 our loop that you can see for the last 12 hours we have some heavier bands, accumulation to the each 3 to 4 inches ashtabula, lake in geauga counties. let's show you what is going on. we're starting to see things start to die down the snow is moving south and east fairly quickly. temperatures across the board, it is a chilly start, and yet temperature, what it feels like out there is in the 20s for most spots. mansfield getting reports of wind chills in the teens. the cool air is in place. hour by hour things are going to try out with the system to our west we're seeing just the clouds

scene for the 2 people in this car after rammed into a home yesterday morning. no word if anyone was inside the house at the time of the crash. we're still working to get an update on the condition of the 2 people inside the car. the search is on for the 2 people that robbed a subway restaurant on the city's westside. police tell us that these 2 crooks were armed with guns when they went inside the avenue. they demanded workers open the register then ran off with the money including a lock spot. if you recognize them you are urged to call police. police need help identifying this.. a say they are persons of interest in connection with a string of robberies on the westside. again, if you recognize any of these men, call police.

it is 8:43. northeast ohio congressman trying to make a name for himself on the national stage. a very good sunday morning as the winds continue to change and continue to blow across northeast ohio. washington as well. the new trump administration begins to take shape. more announcements will be announced this week for people that will help them over the next 4 years. party leaders were selected this week in the senate. the democrats will hold off their vote until november 30. tim ryan has now challenged nancy pelosi.

trump shook up washington, tim ryan says it should also shakeup the democratic party. >> we have screwed up so badly that donald trump is now the president of the united states. when the great blue firewall collapses in ohio and pennsylvania and michigan and wisconsin we're doing something terribly wrong. >> that is why he is mounting a challenge to former house speaker nancy pelosi for national -- majority house leader saying there is an appetite in america for a new democratic party to trump. >> the obama is argon, the clintons are gone. we don't have anyone at the dnc. the house leadership races really going to be an important signal to many democrats, independents and moderate republicans on what the new democratic party will look like. >> ryan says it needs to be made in his district and others like it with the blue colored democrats that sided with trump . >> these are my friends, the people i went to school with. >> for us to have ignored them
