old man winter just cannot wait northeast ohio getting a blast of winter. hello everybody and thanks joining us. good evening,, let's take a live look outside. it is cold and still windy. if you are outside you are probably going to want to bundle up. we are in the weather center tracking some snow. >> was still have snowfall on your power 5 off the network. it is on the lighter side in continuing to taper off with that lake affect snow still trying to hold on. current temperatures 35 for us in cleveland. the warmest temperature of the day, 36.

of this morning. not a lot of change it when it comes to highs. 39 in wooster. a very cold 29, 32 currently an accurate to 31 in ashtabula. snowfall still in place in cuyahoga. it is on the lighter side with maybe a quick little pocket of some snow. when driving on 77 we also noticed some letter snow near garfield heights and shaker heights for the most part you will notice the flakes flying around the strong winds gusting at about 40 miles-per-hour. not much of a change but it is a little better. real light snow covering much of ashtabula county where it is more scattered further south. to salem you can see some light to it times some heavier light snow in place. most of the snow is expected to taper off.

>> reporter: that is what police tell us. the majority of those incidents happened in the last week one of them on west 77th street. we spoke to a resident who says 2 meant approached him in broad daylight just as he was about to pick up his granddaughter from school. >> they said you want your life for your car? i let them take the car. >> jesus too frightened to show his face but bold enough was last monday when 2 men approached him in his driveway and asked for the time. as soon as he gave them the time, one of them pulled a gun on him and demanded that he get out of the car. he says he scrambled out, ran into his house and had his wife call 911. in the at times appear sped away with his 2004 weight vehicle saver. he has not seen it since. jesus certainly isn't alone.

is happening all over the west side in recent weeks, west 89, west 82nd, nicholas and denison avenue. detectives have release the surveillance pictures showing 2 men who they say robbed a man at gunpoint on madison avenue install the person's car. the man in the white hood is one of the 2 that stole his car. police caution the men behind these incidents are armed and extremely dangerous. there have the anyone with any information about those involved are encouraged to call cleveland police first district station. cleveland police also investigating a murder that happened on the side last night . police tells the man and woman were returning home around 9:00 when someone opened fire on them. both of them were hit by gunfire . the woman died at the hospital. the man is in the hospital
