10:00 am
we have the truth in the lord jesus christ and we find he is preimminent. he is preimmeant in salvation. get that in your mind. we look in the word in god and in chapter 1 verse 7 the bible says this. in whom we have redemption through the blood, to forgive us of sins according to the richness of his grace. there's several things have you to get in your mind. we have two wonderful blessings over here but before you come to those blessings, those blessings came to you through one single, solitary factor and that is the cross work of jesus christ. you can never go to the cross preaching about the blood because it is the blood of jesus christ that sets you free. it's the power of the blood of christ that makes you a whole
10:01 am
man and that powers through this very, very moment, from calvaries unto right now. in whom we have redemption it says. the first word i'm going to look at now that i have this power encounter i want to see the truth encounter, what is the truth? the truth is this. it took the blood of jesus christ to give you salvation. that's the price that was paid for your eternal salvation. don't you ever forget it. without the shedding of blood there is absolutely no forgiveness of sin. so i have that down in my mind. number two, this redemption that we have, it's a beautiful thing to know what the term means. i am redeemed by the blood of the lamb. number two, not only am i redeemed by the blood of the lamb but i have forgiveness. keep this in your mind. when i came to christ and obeyed the call of god, the pulling of
10:02 am
the spirit of god, the revelation of the lawmaker nation of the word of god and when i yielded to christ and accepted the gift of his wonderful son, got gave me redemption. i am redeemed by the blood of the lamb. can you say that? i am redeemed by the blood of the lamb. keep that in your mind. then the second thing you need to have is forgiveness. but before i get into that, i want to talk to you about this idea of redemption and the idea of redemption is this. if i am in christ, i have been redeemed. christ alone is preimminent in salvation. you cannot get to christ through your religion. you cannot get to christ through your giving, your sacrifices. it is only one thing. it is shed blood of jesus christ on calvary that i accept the price say god fear give me my sin and come into this. you know this, most of you here, i assume are believers.
10:03 am
i trust by the grace of god you are relishing thank god i have been redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the lamb. what does it mean to be redeemed? i want to talk about that for a minute. most of you are familiar with this but let me give it to you just the same. there may be somebody listening that doesn't understand what redemption really means. it comes from the etimology going back in time when men were sold as slave, men and women were slaves on the slave market and if a person was on that save market ready to be auctioned off and somebody were to buy him, he would be redeemed. a man who believed that slavery was wrong went to the slave market. he had witnessed this one slave that was up for sale and he bid on him and he bought him and he pubought the man and the man sas i thought you were against this. how could you buy me? how could you do that?
10:04 am
you're a christian. the man looked at him and he said, come with me. he took him outside of the slave market, he took the bill of sale and he gave it to him and he says now you are free. what it happened? he purchased him, he had the right to take him out of the slave market and he set him free. that's what happened to you when you gave your heart to christ. you were in the slave market and you are given eternity of slavehood to satan and god by his wonderful grace has redeemed him through his precious blood, the blood of jesus christ. we look at this redemptio redem. christ is preimminent in salvation. turn to chapter 2 in your bible. christ is preimminent in exaltation. as a believer i need to get this terminology in my mind. i need to be thinking about this
10:05 am
redemption that i have, christ is preimminent in salvation. i've got that down. now i go a step further and you see what we're doing. we're trying to give you building steps to take you closer to the lord jesus and to the truth of the word of god so you will have a power encounter with the truth and accept it and find deliverance in it. here we find in verse 6 and have raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in christ jesus. you're going to discover at another study that heavenly places is mentioned five times in this one place. six chapters and when the holy spirit of god uses a term again and again, he puts it there because it is significant to you. when we talk about heavenly places, look at that. god says that he has raised us up together and he's made us sit
10:06 am
together. he has done this and saved you and given you the promise of redemption throughout all of eternity you belong to him and you have been redeemed and forgiven by god. he says raises up together and made us sit together and that means joint sharing in heavenly places. we are sitting together. now, i'm going to get into great detail as we go on, and i'm not going to stay on this for a long time but i want to get your attention. if you understand the word of god and you find this word heavenly places, now we think of this. we're seated with him in heaven. although we're not there, we are there according to the word of god. i'll be there, so i'm there as far as god is concerned. but it also has this idea. when you talk about heavenly places, now this is an area you need to listen very carefully.
10:07 am
this is something you need to get hold of and don't let it slip by your mind. it not only has the idea of the heavenly places where you will be, but it talks about a cosmic area, another sphere. it talks about a place where there are other spirits. the bible says satan is called the prince and the power of the air. he's in the heavenlies and with this in mind, i have a powerful truth. christ has risen from the dead. he's alive and satan is defeated yet he is not totally out of the picture. the con summation of thages must take place. the anti-christ will come to this earth. there will be a time of tribulation and none with be crying for rocks to fall out and time of outer dismay and corruption and don't know what to do. and by the way, i think we're
10:08 am
right near that area right now. right now at this time where we're seated here. our country is on the verge of a great decision. we've had massive, massive weapons of destruction that have been used on boys and girls and children over in syria. this is a serious thing, my friend. we have egypt bursting at the seams and going back and forth and christians are tormented and tortured and churches are being torn down. we are in a world on fire, a mad world. thank god for christ and my position in the lord. i'm safe. i'm secure in it. when i come to the word of god and i begin to see these terms coming up we're seated together, that's our security. but down here on this earth there are those of us who are going through spiritual warfares those who are in that cosmic area. we'll talk more about that as our time goes on. god has put our savior right
10:09 am
back on the throne where he came from at the right-hand of god, the place of supreme power. we talk about power, that's the greatest power you will ever find in the person of the lord jesus christ and the bible says we are seated with him in that position, in that place. now let me give you several things. we're given joint seating. that is we are right now as far as god is concerned you're seated in the heavenlies if you have been forgiven and redeemed. now with that in mind i have taken this salvation and now as i look at it further i find i have something else from him. i'm given a joint seat in heaven with him. i'm in the heavenly sphere, and i raised up from the death of sin. that's exactly what it is saying. i was condemned to death. sin come forth, bring it forth, what? death. here's the whole idea. i was a dead man.
10:10 am
i mean you could touch my body and i may seem to be alive but god says you're dead and your trespasses and sin. now i'm alive through faith and christ and because of the wonderful, wonderful truth i rejoice in him. next, his resurrection is made positive and sure to you. in your bibles in romans 5, you might turn there, keep your place but romans 6, rather, and i want to give you one verse in verse 5. for if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, that is i identify with the death sacrifice of christ, i having received him as my savior we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection. listen carefully, christian. do you realize when you die you're going to go to heaven because of the work of christ? are you aware of this?
10:11 am
do you realize when you take your last breath, that is not the end? you entered a brand new world. you are in the heavenly sphere where you are really, literally there. the bible says that for we have been planted together in the life of his death, we have identified with the death and resurrection, we shall also be in likeness of his resurrection. think of this. the likeness of his resurrection. yes. he was raised from death, and he arose from death and he's made redemptions yours and also given you a promise, the seed is there that one day you die, you will be with christ. and as a result of the finished work of jesus christ. some of you seated here now, many are listening now, and you will face death, but do you know it was sir winston churchill
10:12 am
that said this. millions of people go to bed every night with the fear of death unanswered. and he had the same problem. and when billy graham was having meetings over there in london, he says i want to see you, mr. graham. he came over and billy graham talked to this man who went through the whole second world war, first world war and going way back in time and this man said in essence, i've reached the zenith but the one single burning thing that was on his mind, now what? i've had the praise of man, i have been elevated in all kind of positions, but he said to billy graham, i don't know what will happen when i die, and i want to know. think of that. if a great man like him would be
10:13 am
that interested, then maybe you ought to pay attention and understand what god really has promised to you. billy graham left there with the assurance that this man had received jesus christ. will when i go to heaven, i'm gg to see churchill because of the work of christ. general douglas macarthur i served under him and one day he came back from overseas and was a civilian a while and was in the hospital dying. i wrote him a letter. i said dear general i served under you blah, blah, blah and i said sir, i hear you read the bible every year. once a year he read the bible through. he is a man that said when japan was defeated, send over missionaries, missionaries, send the bible over here. that's a great man as far as i'm concerned. i wrote him a letter and i said dear general, i said i'm just a little guy but i want to know
10:14 am
something. sir, have you made your peace with god? wrote him a letter. i got a response from that, from his aid. not from him. i want you to know that. who knows if he ever read it. i don't know. but when we are looking at this idea of resurrection the bible says that he has planted us together in the likeness of his death as christ died we die symbolically. when he died for us he died in my stead. as he was resurrected from the dead, i plan to have a glorious resurrection. when i die -- by the way, you will die, too, one day. they lay my old body out here and you come along and you say huh, now i can tell him what i really think about him. [laughter] frankly, i don't care, and frankly, at that time i really don't care. you know why? can i use some bad language?
10:15 am
i ain't there. i don't plan to be here. because i believe the word of god and i believe the second i die i will be with jesus christ. i will live like i've never lived before. am i unique in that? no. you have the same privilege because of your relationship with jesus christ. listen, you can know the word of god backwards, inward, upside down and now all the facts of the word of god, but if you don't have peace of god and know him as your savior, you do not have, you cannot claim eternal life. a simple thing to do is come to christ. you say i got saved, praise god, and you live the way you want to. no, now that you are saved you have resurrection life, powerful life as only god almighty can give to you. he says we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection. we will be raised, think of this, to share his honor. we're going to have a great time
10:16 am
in heaven. you think it's going to be dull? we're going to have the time of your eternity. i was going to say the time of your life but that's nothing. eternal life is better than that. number two, we're raised up we may be partakers of his glory in some measure, somehow, we will take part of that glory because we've identified with the king of kings and lord of lords and we belong to him. we will be raised in heavenly places in a high rung so christ is preimminent in salvation and exhaltation and turn in chapter 3. christ here's your heading, is the number one, highest highestg in separation. get that. separation. now listen carefully. this separation is not what you're thinking of. listen to the word of god verse 6. paul introduces a theme that
10:17 am
revolutionized the world. that the gentiles should be fellow heirs of the same body and partakers of his promise in christ by the gospel. that, my friend, is one of the most powerful verses you will ever read in the bible. how many of you are gentiles here? every one of you if you are not a jew. be sure to raise it anyway. you're from pakistan or iran i don't care where you are from. something is important over here. we are all outside of the grace of god until god made it possible so that even the gentiles, the non-jew who believes in christ will be born again. i thank god for the drops of blood of christ that take a gentile in and that's me. i'm one of god's children because of the finished work of
10:18 am
jesus christ. the gentile shoulding fellow heirs. what he was saying was remarkable. remarkable. you know, i look at our world today -- i'm going to be very honest with you. i've lived long enough to see many, many things happen. many things have changed in america. and today we're on the throes of upheaval, my friend. you better be aware of it. we are finding there is a new thing coming up. a new division amongst people. new christians because of the finished work of jesus christ. you and i have entered into a new race of people. a new race of people. do you understand that? you know what that race of people is? born-again christians. washed in the blood, saved by the grace of god. may walk in christ. the world is trying to put us
10:19 am
together. they'll never do it. they'll never do it. you know why? they don't know my god. they have not received my savior. licen carefully. once a man is in christ, i look out here, i see all colors. you know the only color god is concerned about? sin. not skin. when that's settled, man, you have entered into a brand new realm, don't you know that? you are no longer slave slaves e world. you're free, free, free in christ. as a free man you can hold your head high and shoulders out and say thank god by the grace of god i can love everybody. how can i do that? through the grace of god, god is in your heart and will you not find love as it really was truly meant to be until you love my savior.
10:20 am
when you love jesus and you've accepted his salvation and you've come along and you know you will be exhaulted with him and have resurrected life then the promises in the word of god become very, very, very real. say, now, aren't you glad you belong to christ? he is the preimminent one. everyone else pails in significant. he is the great god of the universe and he died for you for mankind. i marvel at that again and again when i come to the word of god and see how he revolutionized and have you a power encounter with god and he revolutionizes your life and makes you a new man. don't ever let that fact escape you. stay there. remember when you first got married? some of you so long ago you can't even remember. but those of us who do remember
10:21 am
this. man, this was heaven on earth. i found the right lady. she found the right man. can you say that? i was talking to her. listen, we are married to christ. remember the first love? i remember when we were dating, she don't mind me telling you this. we didn't have any money, so we used to sit on the porch step and talk. those were the days. and i remember sitting there until 1:00 in the morning and her mother would yell down the stairs, what are you doing? she would turn the lights on. talking, mama. don't you think it's bedtime? yeah, but we just want to talk to each other. we want to be with each other. that was 60 years ago. guess what? we still want to talk to each
10:22 am
other. that's rare. because of two things. our natural love is one thing, but our spiritual relationship with god has made all the difference in the world. young people, listen carefully. you love god, god will give you real love for your spouse. you walk with god, god will give you a good walk with your mate. and this is where it all comes down to whether or not i'm filled with the spirit of got, rejoicing in him. christ is preimminent and i got away from my separation. from the gentile should be fellow heirs the same body partake of his promise in christ by the gospel. now to the jewish mind, these
10:23 am
rebel rousing gentiles they don't know the promises of god. we've been called the separated people. how could they be one with us? through christ is the only answer. paul came with a revolution. he said this is what god said. not a man and woman who cannot partake of the wonderful salvation we have in jesus. well, that ends another service here at grace bible baptist church. for those of you who are listening for the very, very first time, we want you to know that this program is brought with a caring heart. we care about you. we want you to know the lord jesus christ. we want you to know the word of god. how you can live and walk with him and have an inner beauty and inner rest only god can give to you. you must come visit us at at church 1518 north rolling road here in kateenville, maryland. you have tame to make the

eckstein: these stones are the remnants of the first century area right outside jerusalem's holy temple. in fact, in this very spot where jews walked centuries ago, where jesus walked, where people entered and left the temple area. on this spot, the bridge that would carry people to and fro the temple area fell when the romans conquered the city and cracked this road that you see in front of you. this crack in a sense represents symbolically the crack of the jewish people, how the jewish people were disbursed, sent into exile. but, we believe in the fulfillment of prophecy
10:27 am
and i believe that we're witnessing a miracle today of incredible proportions. a day like ezekiel prophesized with the dry bones in which they would come together and this is what we're witnessing today- the miracle of the end gathering of the jewish people here in israel, and you can be a part of here in israel, and you can be a part of that. announcer: isaiah, jeremiah, ezekiel, revelations. i bore you "on wings of ezekiel, revelations. i bore you "on wings of eagles". announcer: jews of the former soviet union have always been one of history's most persecuted people suffering through stalin, hitler, and the holocaust and violent communist hitler, and the holocaust and violent communist repression. emigre: it was very dangerous because of the kgb and all of the government.
10:28 am
it was so dangerous to show your judaism. emigre: they attempted to burn our house. they threw stones at our doors and they wrote on it death to the jews. emigre: every day on the bus they would yell at me, "go home jew! this is not your home!" emigre: because i am a jew, someone took a knife and cut up the front door to our apartment. this is no place for my daughter. we are leaving this is no place for my daughter. we are leaving this country. announcer: in 1989, the doors of the former soviet union finally opened. for most jews who had been denied jobs and forced into terrible poverty, , there was still no hope of having the means to ever realize their dream of returning to their homeland. but thanks to the help of the worldwide jewish community and programs like "on wings of eagles", what was only a distant dream became a modern-day miracle
10:29 am
in the fulfillment of miracle in the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. eckstein: this is the first sign that a jewish imigri will see when they arrive here in israel-welcome to israel. speaking hebrew) welcome israel. speaking hebrew) welcome home. for the emigrants who arrive and see this sign, it's often a very emotional experience, an overwhelming often a very emotional experience, an overwhelming one. announcer: tens of thousands of jewish families in the former soviet union are waiting, praying, and hoping for their chance for freedom in the promise land. christians are joining with jews to rescue these persecuted people for several reasons. first is to participate in the modern-day fulfillment of biblical prophecy. second is to show to god's chosen people that christians love them as jesus loved them and are willing to stand with them in their times of tribulation and need with their support and prayers.
10:30 am
and third is because god said in genesis 12:3 that he would bless those who bless said in genesis 12:3 that he would bless those who bless the seed of abraham. emotional donor: the only reason that i'm doing anything to help these people-it's not because i felt i should myself, but i was watching the little clip and god spoke to my heart and said "let my people go." and i thought, lord, i'm not stopping your people from leaving. and he said, "you are if you're not helping." you're doing nothing. you're not letting them go. (singing:) "let my people go." announcer: you can help let god's people go. a gift of only $350 will help airlift one jew from the former soviet union to safety in israel. a married couple can be airlifted for only $700 and a family of four for $1,400. whatever you can give, no matter how small, will help to make possible a new life for a jew who is waiting and desperate to be free of persecution.
10:31 am
eckstein: there are hundreds of thousands of jews still waiting in line for their turn to come and see this sign. and for every gift of $350, we will send you a postcard with the name of the person or people that you helped sponsor and where they're from. won't you go to your phone now and help? this sign is a sign of hope to these jews. (singing:) let my people go. robertson: i commend rabbi eckstein for the work that he is doing with the international fellowship of christians and jews to alert us all to the biblical roots of modern day israel and also to encourage christians to involve themselves in supporting israel and the jewish people. falwell: i believe israel needs the support of evangelical christians as never before. that is why i believe in the work of the international fellowship of christians and jews.
10:32 am
donor: i believe in god even from a young boy, but i believe in the prophets. i believe in the scriptures. and i believe that this "wings of eagles" is one of the greatest things i've ever seen. donor: we had no idea that we would have the opportunity to come and to be part of this wonderful movement to bring, as they call it "aliyah" the jewish people back to as they call it "aliyah" the jewish people back to their homeland. spokesperson: aliyah is going up and that's what aliyah means going up. spokesperson: it refers to someone who is immigrating to israel, not just moving from one country to another but is making a spiritual ascent, country to another but is making a spiritual ascent, going back to the homeland. eckstein: my father was born here in old jerusalem as were my grandparents and
10:33 am
my great grandparents but since 1948 and the establishment of the state of israel, there has been a constant of israel, there has been a constant flow of "aliyah". we believe that when one moves here, when one comes here, one is going up spiritually; here, one is going up spiritually; one is closer to god. emigre: this year i will be making "aliyah" to israel. i am proud to be a jew. emigre: i want it because it's my country. i know that i'm a jewish girl and i want it's my country. i know that i'm a jewish girl and i want to live there. russian jew: i have only one child and i want him to grow up where he can be safe, where he can be proud that he is jewish. feldman: the essence of the existence of the state of israel is that this is a homeland for the jews because if israel would have existed just 15 years before it was founded in 1933, uh, there wouldn't founded in 1933, uh, there wouldn't be an auswitch or a dachau.
10:34 am
announcer: world war ii, hitler, the holocaust. announcer: world war ii, hitler, holocaust survivor: the nazi camp where i was a prisoner, over 200,000 women went into that camp with me and at the end of the war only 536 of us were still alive. everyone else was dead. emotional donor: they said the ground would literally look like it was breathing with all the people that were lying there stacked on top of each other dead and some of them underneath had gotten crushed and hadn't actually died yet they were breathing. they would just move. it's just, whatever you can do to help the people here. eckstein: the people who are coming to israel now "on wings of eagles" they are the remnants of israel who saw the suffering, who experienced the atrocities.
10:35 am
announcer: it is no wonder that when the doors of emigration opened, hundreds of thousands of jews who could never afford to pay for such a trip prayed to one day reach to pay for such a trip prayed to one day reach israel. eckstein: but many of us our concerned that the doors of emigration could close any day. this is a great fear that i and others have. as jews continue to leave the former soviet union, it is critical that we work and that we pray and that we act while the doors of act while the doors of emigration are open. announcer: fear is increasing that the door to jewish emigration may once again close due to current instability and problems confronting the republics of the former soviet union. the purpose of this program is to not only raise the necessary funds to rescue as many jews as possible, but to encourage christians to pray that the door but to encourage christians to pray that the door remains open. eckstein: there's a jewish tradition that he who saves one life it is if he saved an entire world.
10:36 am
indeed many of you may be familiar with that phrase of jewish tradition from the movie about the life of oscar schindler and how those he rescued engraved that phrase onto a ring that they made with the gold in their teeth, and they gave it to schindler as a token of their appreciation for saving their lives. well today we have an opportunity quite different indeed but still an opportunity to save jewish lives. announcer: god has opened the door to bring the scattered children of israel home through "on wings of eagles". a gift of only $350 will help air lift one jew from the former soviet union to safety in israel. a married couple can be air lifted for only $700, and a family of four for $1,400. whatever you can give, no matter how small, will help to make possible a new life for a jew who is waiting and desperate to be free of persecution.
10:37 am
become part of a modern-day prophetic miracle with your call now. eckstein: for $350 you can help sponsor a jew from the former soviet union and bring them here to israel and with that gift we will send you a postcard with the name of a person that you sponsored or family or couple that you helped to bring here to freedom, to the land of opportunity and hope. hagee: we here at cornerstone church and john hagee ministries with great joy give to bring the jewish people from around the earth back to israel. boone: jewish people of the soviet union need your help and mine right now. we can be part of this. god is unfolding his prophetic plan in our lifetime. the children of israel are returning to the promise the children of israel are returning to the promise land. spokesperson: soviet citizens here live in very
10:38 am
crowded conditions, very cramped quarters in big apartment buildings and the neighbors are always listening. the neighbors are always watching. russian jew: when i was growing up, my mother had to close the shutters and draw the curtains before she lit sabbath candles. spokesperson: there's always somebody who's going to whisper to the authorities that so and so is observing the jewish holidays, and then this person is going to get in trouble. emigre: i remember that at the age of 5 or 6 years old i did not want to be jewish because it was a shame. it was a hate name, a curse. just being called a jew was it was a hate name, a curse. just being called a jew was a curse. emigre: i worry because i know what the life of the elderly people is there, not only because of the anti-semitism but economically it's impossible to live there. emigre: they have no money for food and money for things.
10:39 am
(singing:) "let my people go". announcer: the governments of the former soviet union teeter at their inability to bring order and the jews who have been the scapegoats for the ills of russian society are the ones who suffer the most. russian jew: people who worked their entire lives and saved money and it all just disappeared. the government promised to return the money, but it never did. announcer: three hundred and fifty dollars sounds like so little to many of us. (singing:) "let my people go". announcer: but for tens of thousands of jews in the former soviet union, $350 is an impossible sum of money. hope is fading that they will ever be able to save enough to leave the persecution they have endured for too long before the door closes again. (singing:) "let my people the door closes again. (singing:) "let my people go".
10:40 am
eckstein: her father had a dream. her father also dreamed of coming but he didn't make it. he died before hand. (singing hebrew:) kadosh, kadosh, kadosh. announcer: by showing the love of christ, christians can help erase the pain of decades of suffering and persecution. the international fellowship of christians and jews makes it possible for a jew to return home at the low cost of $350 per person. by partnering with the jewish agency for israel and the world wide jewish community, you can be assured that your gift will be used in the most cost-effective manner possible. eckstein: your gift of $350 actually goes to help in three components of the rescue process. first of all, the processing of the jewish imigris in the
10:41 am
former soviet union, registering them to come here on aliyah, and then the actual air lift, and, finally, we don't just leave people off at the gates here and say "goodbye," but we help them in some of their basic needs to adjust to israeli in some of their basic needs to adjust to israeli society. announcer: two thousand years ago the bible foretold that jews would be suffering in the land of the north. and two thousand years ago the bible also foretold an exodus to israel that would be greater than the exodus moses led out of the land of egypt. for only $350 you can help air lift one desperate jew to safety and freedom in the holy land of israel. $700 will pay for a needy married couple, and $1,400 for a family of four. robertson: now more than ever it is important for christians and jews to build bridges of cooperation and understanding between our faith communities. together, we can greatly bless israel and the jewish people.
10:42 am
mainse: you show love by getting involved to help and one of the ways all of us can be involved is by giving to the "wings of eagles" fund. falwell: i believe that this man is doing a noble work worthy of our support and understanding and i hope that every friend that i have out there right now will make this work and this fellowship a part of your religious budget. announcer: when you call with a gift of $350 or more, when the person or people you sponsor arrive, you will receive a postcard from israel with their names and where they are from in the former soviet union so that you can continue to bless them with your prayers. please call now while the door is still open to their please call now while the door is still open to their flight to freedom. eckstein: one of the first things that a jewish imigri does when he or she arrives here in israel and especially when they come to jerusalem is come to this place,
10:43 am
the kotel, the western wall. it's the last remnants of the ancient temple that was here in jerusalem. right across the wall was the holy of holies. (singing:) "holy, holy, holy eckstein: they come here to thank god, to thank god for their freedom, for the dream fulfilled of next year in jerusalem, for a life that is beginning anew. and many of you who are watching this broadcast now made possible their coming watching this broadcast now made possible their coming here to the western wall. emigre: i'm very grateful to all who have helped by giving to this cause, even though, at times my new life has been difficult. i have no regrets, not even has been difficult. i have no regrets, not even for a moment. emigre: i'm so thankful and will be thankful until the last day. i want to praise god for our health and for our happiness.
10:44 am
emigre: my husband and i didn't have anything. we had no money, so we are very, very thankful for all the people who did give so that we could come to israel. emigre: i am very thankful for all the people who did their best to help us come here. we don't have to be afraid here. we don't have to be afraid anymore. thank you. announcer: all indications are that time may be running out for jews still waiting to be rescued in the former soviet union. ethnic cleansing, genocide, and neo-nazism are on the rise everywhere. it should be no surprise that jews, who are praying for help to return to their homeland of israel before the doors close again, homeland of israel before the doors close again, are getting more desperate. emigre: i saw a dramatic change when even the newspaper in our own neighborhood became openly anti-semitic.
10:45 am
i was terrified. before it was always just i was terrified. before it was always just below the surface. eckstein: this is simeon. he is retarded and his parents brought him here to isr1el just a year ago because his parents were concerned that when they died, simeon would be killed and their apartment in moscow taken by the authorities. so, they came to israel for taken by the authorities. so, they came to israel for refuge. emigre: i came to israel in 1996 from russia. even with some democratic changes, there is much anti- semitism. people are still taught that jews should be looked down on and old habits are hard to change. emigre: they grow up with the education that all jewish people, they are rich, they are clever. they are all the troubles of the russian people. it was their education. emigre: we noticed more and more in the newspapers and on the television
10:46 am
that the soviet government was supporting anti- semitism. we realized that for the sake of our children we must we realized that for the sake of our children we must go. eckstein: this plane ticket may look like any other plane ticket, but this one is different because this plane ticket can bring a jew in the former soviet union home to israel, to the land of milk and honey. there's just one catch. this ticket has a time limit. the doors of opportunity and emigration to israel are open now. we don't know how long those doors will remain open. so, won't you go to your phone now and help sponsor one individual, one ticket, one new life that you can plant in the land of israel. announcer: "on wings of eagles" is a modern day fulfillment of scriptural prophecy. over a million of the scattered remnants of the children of israel have already returned home from the former soviet union since the doors opened in 1989.
10:47 am
but more than 300,000 still pray for the day they will be rescued from persecution, economic devastation, and anti-semitism. russian jew: it is not safe here in russia. our apartment was vandalized and we were even robbed right outside our front door. the police will do nothing door. the police will do nothing about it. announcer: time may be running out with political instability and a worsening economy in the former soviet union. we must act now. for only $350 you can air lift one jew to safety and freedom. $700 for a married couple or $1,400 for parents and two children. whatever you can give, will show that christians and jews can join together in saving lives and bringing biblical prophecy to life today. hagee: the word of god says in jeremiah, "behold the days
10:48 am
are comings saith the lord when they shall no longer say blessed is the lord god which brought us up out of egypt which is exodus 1, but they shall say blessed is the lord that brought us from the north part" which is russia. in other words, in other words it is a biblical thing for us to help jewish people come to the nation of israel. boone: you and i as christians can make it possible for tens, maybe hundreds of families, to return to israel. that opportunity is here today. it may not be that opportunity is here today. it may not be tomorrow. imigri: this is the hardest thing i have ever had to do. my wife and i have been married 28 years. we both lost our first spouses in the war. they were killed. my daughter and grand children are in israel. they need me. her daughter and grandchildren are here.
10:49 am
she must stay, and i must go. we know that, but it doesn't make it any go. we know that, but it doesn't make it any easier. it is hard to leave my wife here. all my memories are here, but there we will be with our own people and our children will have hope for a better life. announcer: through "on wings of eagles", christians are involved in something much more significant than just fulfilling biblical prophecy, they can reach out to bless god's chosen people with their love, prayers, concern, and support in their time of need. donor: when i became appointed with "on wings of eagles", i told my wife a year ago christmas, "we're going to do something different this christmas." no presents, no trips. let's bring a family of five from russia. donor: this is a good work that god is giving us the grace to do.
10:50 am
and i would tell the christian community, "hurry. the time is short. hurry." announcer: we are horrified at the reports of persecution and ethnic cleansing that are going on in our world today. people ask why and wonder what can we do. there is something that you can do right now. for $350 through "on wings of eagles", you can help one desperate jew to escape from suffering and hardship to safety and freedom in israel. meridor: we are continuing what we believe is a sacred, sacred job for the future of the jewish people in the land of israel. edelstein: after all our efforts to get jews out of the soviet union, to open the gate, we can't betray the task right now. (group:) "spaceba" eckstein: spaceba-thank you in russian. these people, new emigrants here to israel, are thanking you who've made it possible for them to come here to the land of
10:51 am
israel, to the land of promise, the land of hope and opportunity. but, they've left people behind; friends, family members, others who seek to fulfill their dream, who seek to come here to join them in the land of israel. and we can help make that dream possible. announcer: the international fellowship of christians and jews is bringing christians and jews together to make it happen. for only $350 you can help air lift one desperate jew to safety and freedom in the holy land of israel. seven hundred dollars will pay for a needy married couple and $1,400 for a family of four. when you call with a gift of $350 or more, when the person or people you sponsor arrive, you will receive a postcard from israel with their names and where they are from in the former soviet union so that you can continue to bless them with your prayers. please call now while the door is still open for their please call now while the door is still open for their flight to freedom.
10:52 am
eckstein: in the jewish tradition, a tree represents hope. it represents the future. and here at yad vashem, the holocaust memorial museum in jerusalem, we plant trees to honor those righteous gentiles who risked their lives, perhaps even gave their lives to help the jewish people at their time of need. this tree represents hope for the future it represents everything we dream for of shalom of peace forhe dream for of shalom of peace forhe future. i remember walking through this garden, through this avenue and my little daughter asking me- she said, "abba ." innocently enough, "daddy, i see the trees, but why isn't there a forest?" but why isn't there a forest?" why aren't there more trees? and that question has haunted me and every other jew i know over all these years.
10:53 am
why aren't there more trees? we're grateful for those that there are, but why weren't there more people? a gift of $350 will help uproot a jew, who may be experiencing anti-semitism in the former soviet union, and lead him from a life of despair to a life of hope here in the holy land. a gift of $700 will help a couple and perhaps you can bring this message to the attention of your church or your bible study group so that they can be involved in extending their hand to the jewish people as friends so that maybe when (emotional) my children's maybe when (emotional) my children's children grow up, maybe they will see a forest. maybe they will see a forest implanted in the lives of the people,

to the bathroom? suffer from urgency? hesitancy? do you get up more than once a night? can you even sit through a movie? or worse, have a diminished sex drive? if so, chances are you have an enlarged prostate. fact: 30 million men now suffer from an enlarged prostate. fact: every other man now watching this show will someday face the same painful problems. until now you had three choices: take expensive drugs with potentially serious side effects, face painful and bloody surgery, or try and live with the pain and embarrassment. fact: you don't have to live with it anymore. introducing prosvent, the all-natural solution so good, it's guaranteed to give you relief in less than 30 days. >> i experienced within the first two or three days
10:57 am
a significant change. >> you know, not having to worry about running to a bathroom is unbelievable. >> when i started taking the product and i wasn't getting up at night, it was great. i mean, the rest, you know, you get at night, you know, was great. i didn't have to get up. >> it's just a little pill that i just take, and it, it makes a big difference. >> i'm not ruled by going to the bathroom, and i don't think i have to worry about those things again. >> i mean, i hadn't slept through an entire night maybe 10 years. i mean, it was just remarkable. >> it's like my youth. [laughs] i feel, i feel great. >> announcer: and you can start feeling great again too, without harmful side effects and without painful surgery. today you're going to find out what the prostate is, what it does, why it causes so many problems for so many men, and what you can finally do about it simply, easily, and safely. this is dr. larry may. he received his medical degree from harvard, is a faculty member at the u.c.l.a. school of medicine and is listed in this book,
10:58 am
the best doctors in america. he's helped thousands reverse and control the problem of an enlarged prostate. today he'll help you. >> dr. may, the numbers, they're unbelievable. half the men over 50 in this country-- that's 30 million men-- suffering from an enlarged prostate? >> barbara, that's right. every man has a prostate, and as surely as their hair is going to turn gray, that prostate is going to enlarge, and by the age of 70, 80% of men will have problems. as men age, testosterone, the male hormone, is converted to dihydrotestosterone, a much more potent variety, and it stimulates the prostate cells to grow and multiply and the prostate to enlarge. >> what kind of problems does that cause? >> a weak stream, hesitancy, stopping and starting, urgency, frequency, getting up frequently at night to urinate, ultimately pain, and sexual dysfunction. >> and virtually every man is gonna face this? >> every man has a prostate, and if a man lives long enough,
10:59 am
they're gonna experience symptoms. >> let's back up just a minute. what is the prostate, and why the problem? >> the only function of the prostate is it provides fluid to transport the sperm, but just like in real estate, location is everything, and the problem is the location of the prostate. here's the prostate, located just below the bladder, which is where the urine accumulates and then flows through this tube called the urethra. the prostate surrounds the urethra, and as it enlarges, it squeezes the urethra, slowing the flow of urine, much like you can see in an hourglass. the sand flows through just like the urine flowing through the urethra, and the prostate surrounds it, slowing the flow and ultimately stopping it. and a doctor can help because a doctor performs an exam we call a digital rectal exam, and he can feel the prostate and say, "hey, your prostate's getting a little big," but unfortunately that usually doesn't occur until the 50s, and the growth of the prostate may begin in the 30s.
