we have the truth in the lord jesus christ and we find he is preimminent. he is preimmeant in salvation. get that in your mind. we look in the word in god and in chapter 1 verse 7 the bible says this. in whom we have redemption through the blood, to forgive us of sins according to the richness of his grace. there's several things have you to get in your mind. we have two wonderful blessings over here but before you come to those blessings, those blessings came to you through one single, solitary factor and that is the cross work of jesus christ. you can never go to the cross preaching about the blood because it is the blood of jesus christ that sets you free. it's the power of the blood of christ that makes you a whole

man and that powers through this very, very moment, from calvaries unto right now. in whom we have redemption it says. the first word i'm going to look at now that i have this power encounter i want to see the truth encounter, what is the truth? the truth is this. it took the blood of jesus christ to give you salvation. that's the price that was paid for your eternal salvation. don't you ever forget it. without the shedding of blood there is absolutely no forgiveness of sin. so i have that down in my mind. number two, this redemption that we have, it's a beautiful thing to know what the term means. i am redeemed by the blood of the lamb. number two, not only am i redeemed by the blood of the lamb but i have forgiveness. keep this in your mind. when i came to christ and obeyed the call of god, the pulling of

the spirit of god, the revelation of the lawmaker nation of the word of god and when i yielded to christ and accepted the gift of his wonderful son, got gave me redemption. i am redeemed by the blood of the lamb. can you say that? i am redeemed by the blood of the lamb. keep that in your mind. then the second thing you need to have is forgiveness. but before i get into that, i want to talk to you about this idea of redemption and the idea of redemption is this. if i am in christ, i have been redeemed. christ alone is preimminent in salvation. you cannot get to christ through your religion. you cannot get to christ through your giving, your sacrifices. it is only one thing. it is shed blood of jesus christ on calvary that i accept the price say god fear give me my sin and come into this. you know this, most of you here, i assume are believers.

i trust by the grace of god you are relishing thank god i have been redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the lamb. what does it mean to be redeemed? i want to talk about that for a minute. most of you are familiar with this but let me give it to you just the same. there may be somebody listening that doesn't understand what redemption really means. it comes from the etimology going back in time when men were sold as slave, men and women were slaves on the slave market and if a person was on that save market ready to be auctioned off and somebody were to buy him, he would be redeemed. a man who believed that slavery was wrong went to the slave market. he had witnessed this one slave that was up for sale and he bid on him and he bought him and he pubought the man and the man sas i thought you were against this. how could you buy me? how could you do that?

you're a christian. the man looked at him and he said, come with me. he took him outside of the slave market, he took the bill of sale and he gave it to him and he says now you are free. what it happened? he purchased him, he had the right to take him out of the slave market and he set him free. that's what happened to you when you gave your heart to christ. you were in the slave market and you are given eternity of slavehood to satan and god by his wonderful grace has redeemed him through his precious blood, the blood of jesus christ. we look at this redemptio redem. christ is preimminent in salvation. turn to chapter 2 in your bible. christ is preimminent in exaltation. as a believer i need to get this terminology in my mind. i need to be thinking about this

redemption that i have, christ is preimminent in salvation. i've got that down. now i go a step further and you see what we're doing. we're trying to give you building steps to take you closer to the lord jesus and to the truth of the word of god so you will have a power encounter with the truth and accept it and find deliverance in it. here we find in verse 6 and have raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in christ jesus. you're going to discover at another study that heavenly places is mentioned five times in this one place. six chapters and when the holy spirit of god uses a term again and again, he puts it there because it is significant to you. when we talk about heavenly places, look at that. god says that he has raised us up together and he's made us sit

together. he has done this and saved you and given you the promise of redemption throughout all of eternity you belong to him and you have been redeemed and forgiven by god. he says raises up together and made us sit together and that means joint sharing in heavenly places. we are sitting together. now, i'm going to get into great detail as we go on, and i'm not going to stay on this for a long time but i want to get your attention. if you understand the word of god and you find this word heavenly places, now we think of this. we're seated with him in heaven. although we're not there, we are there according to the word of god. i'll be there, so i'm there as far as god is concerned. but it also has this idea. when you talk about heavenly places, now this is an area you need to listen very carefully.

this is something you need to get hold of and don't let it slip by your mind. it not only has the idea of the heavenly places where you will be, but it talks about a cosmic area, another sphere. it talks about a place where there are other spirits. the bible says satan is called the prince and the power of the air. he's in the heavenlies and with this in mind, i have a powerful truth. christ has risen from the dead. he's alive and satan is defeated yet he is not totally out of the picture. the con summation of thages must take place. the anti-christ will come to this earth. there will be a time of tribulation and none with be crying for rocks to fall out and time of outer dismay and corruption and don't know what to do. and by the way, i think we're

right near that area right now. right now at this time where we're seated here. our country is on the verge of a great decision. we've had massive, massive weapons of destruction that have been used on boys and girls and children over in syria. this is a serious thing, my friend. we have egypt bursting at the seams and going back and forth and christians are tormented and tortured and churches are being torn down. we are in a world on fire, a mad world. thank god for christ and my position in the lord. i'm safe. i'm secure in it. when i come to the word of god and i begin to see these terms coming up we're seated together, that's our security. but down here on this earth there are those of us who are going through spiritual warfares those who are in that cosmic area. we'll talk more about that as our time goes on. god has put our savior right

back on the throne where he came from at the right-hand of god, the place of supreme power. we talk about power, that's the greatest power you will ever find in the person of the lord jesus christ and the bible says we are seated with him in that position, in that place. now let me give you several things. we're given joint seating. that is we are right now as far as god is concerned you're seated in the heavenlies if you have been forgiven and redeemed. now with that in mind i have taken this salvation and now as i look at it further i find i have something else from him. i'm given a joint seat in heaven with him. i'm in the heavenly sphere, and i raised up from the death of sin. that's exactly what it is saying. i was condemned to death. sin come forth, bring it forth, what? death. here's the whole idea. i was a dead man.

i mean you could touch my body and i may seem to be alive but god says you're dead and your trespasses and sin. now i'm alive through faith and christ and because of the wonderful, wonderful truth i rejoice in him. next, his resurrection is made positive and sure to you. in your bibles in romans 5, you might turn there, keep your place but romans 6, rather, and i want to give you one verse in verse 5. for if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, that is i identify with the death sacrifice of christ, i having received him as my savior we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection. listen carefully, christian. do you realize when you die you're going to go to heaven because of the work of christ? are you aware of this?

do you realize when you take your last breath, that is not the end? you entered a brand new world. you are in the heavenly sphere where you are really, literally there. the bible says that for we have been planted together in the life of his death, we have identified with the death and resurrection, we shall also be in likeness of his resurrection. think of this. the likeness of his resurrection. yes. he was raised from death, and he arose from death and he's made redemptions yours and also given you a promise, the seed is there that one day you die, you will be with christ. and as a result of the finished work of jesus christ. some of you seated here now, many are listening now, and you will face death, but do you know it was sir winston churchill

that said this. millions of people go to bed every night with the fear of death unanswered. and he had the same problem. and when billy graham was having meetings over there in london, he says i want to see you, mr. graham. he came over and billy graham talked to this man who went through the whole second world war, first world war and going way back in time and this man said in essence, i've reached the zenith but the one single burning thing that was on his mind, now what? i've had the praise of man, i have been elevated in all kind of positions, but he said to billy graham, i don't know what will happen when i die, and i want to know. think of that. if a great man like him would be

that interested, then maybe you ought to pay attention and understand what god really has promised to you. billy graham left there with the assurance that this man had received jesus christ. will when i go to heaven, i'm gg to see churchill because of the work of christ. general douglas macarthur i served under him and one day he came back from overseas and was a civilian a while and was in the hospital dying. i wrote him a letter. i said dear general i served under you blah, blah, blah and i said sir, i hear you read the bible every year. once a year he read the bible through. he is a man that said when japan was defeated, send over missionaries, missionaries, send the bible over here. that's a great man as far as i'm concerned. i wrote him a letter and i said dear general, i said i'm just a little guy but i want to know

something. sir, have you made your peace with god? wrote him a letter. i got a response from that, from his aid. not from him. i want you to know that. who knows if he ever read it. i don't know. but when we are looking at this idea of resurrection the bible says that he has planted us together in the likeness of his death as christ died we die symbolically. when he died for us he died in my stead. as he was resurrected from the dead, i plan to have a glorious resurrection. when i die -- by the way, you will die, too, one day. they lay my old body out here and you come along and you say huh, now i can tell him what i really think about him. [laughter] frankly, i don't care, and frankly, at that time i really don't care. you know why? can i use some bad language?

i ain't there. i don't plan to be here. because i believe the word of god and i believe the second i die i will be with jesus christ. i will live like i've never lived before. am i unique in that? no. you have the same privilege because of your relationship with jesus christ. listen, you can know the word of god backwards, inward, upside down and now all the facts of the word of god, but if you don't have peace of god and know him as your savior, you do not have, you cannot claim eternal life. a simple thing to do is come to christ. you say i got saved, praise god, and you live the way you want to. no, now that you are saved you have resurrection life, powerful life as only god almighty can give to you. he says we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection. we will be raised, think of this, to share his honor. we're going to have a great time

in heaven. you think it's going to be dull? we're going to have the time of your eternity. i was going to say the time of your life but that's nothing. eternal life is better than that. number two, we're raised up we may be partakers of his glory in some measure, somehow, we will take part of that glory because we've identified with the king of kings and lord of lords and we belong to him. we will be raised in heavenly places in a high rung so christ is preimminent in salvation and exhaltation and turn in chapter 3. christ here's your heading, is the number one, highest highestg in separation. get that. separation. now listen carefully. this separation is not what you're thinking of. listen to the word of god verse 6. paul introduces a theme that

revolutionized the world. that the gentiles should be fellow heirs of the same body and partakers of his promise in christ by the gospel. that, my friend, is one of the most powerful verses you will ever read in the bible. how many of you are gentiles here? every one of you if you are not a jew. be sure to raise it anyway. you're from pakistan or iran i don't care where you are from. something is important over here. we are all outside of the grace of god until god made it possible so that even the gentiles, the non-jew who believes in christ will be born again. i thank god for the drops of blood of christ that take a gentile in and that's me. i'm one of god's children because of the finished work of

jesus christ. the gentile shoulding fellow heirs. what he was saying was remarkable. remarkable. you know, i look at our world today -- i'm going to be very honest with you. i've lived long enough to see many, many things happen. many things have changed in america. and today we're on the throes of upheaval, my friend. you better be aware of it. we are finding there is a new thing coming up. a new division amongst people. new christians because of the finished work of jesus christ. you and i have entered into a new race of people. a new race of people. do you understand that? you know what that race of people is? born-again christians. washed in the blood, saved by the grace of god. may walk in christ. the world is trying to put us

together. they'll never do it. they'll never do it. you know why? they don't know my god. they have not received my savior. licen carefully. once a man is in christ, i look out here, i see all colors. you know the only color god is concerned about? sin. not skin. when that's settled, man, you have entered into a brand new realm, don't you know that? you are no longer slave slaves e world. you're free, free, free in christ. as a free man you can hold your head high and shoulders out and say thank god by the grace of god i can love everybody. how can i do that? through the grace of god, god is in your heart and will you not find love as it really was truly meant to be until you love my savior.

when you love jesus and you've accepted his salvation and you've come along and you know you will be exhaulted with him and have resurrected life then the promises in the word of god become very, very, very real. say, now, aren't you glad you belong to christ? he is the preimminent one. everyone else pails in significant. he is the great god of the universe and he died for you for mankind. i marvel at that again and again when i come to the word of god and see how he revolutionized and have you a power encounter with god and he revolutionizes your life and makes you a new man. don't ever let that fact escape you. stay there. remember when you first got married? some of you so long ago you can't even remember. but those of us who do remember

this. man, this was heaven on earth. i found the right lady. she found the right man. can you say that? i was talking to her. listen, we are married to christ. remember the first love? i remember when we were dating, she don't mind me telling you this. we didn't have any money, so we used to sit on the porch step and talk. those were the days. and i remember sitting there until 1:00 in the morning and her mother would yell down the stairs, what are you doing? she would turn the lights on. talking, mama. don't you think it's bedtime? yeah, but we just want to talk to each other. we want to be with each other. that was 60 years ago. guess what? we still want to talk to each

other. that's rare. because of two things. our natural love is one thing, but our spiritual relationship with god has made all the difference in the world. young people, listen carefully. you love god, god will give you real love for your spouse. you walk with god, god will give you a good walk with your mate. and this is where it all comes down to whether or not i'm filled with the spirit of got, rejoicing in him. christ is preimminent and i got away from my separation. from the gentile should be fellow heirs the same body partake of his promise in christ by the gospel. now to the jewish mind, these

it was so dangerous to show your judaism. emigre: they attempted to burn our house. they threw stones at our doors and they wrote on it death to the jews. emigre: every day on the bus they would yell at me, "go home jew! this is not your home!" emigre: because i am a jew, someone took a knife and cut up the front door to our apartment. this is no place for my daughter. we are leaving this is no place for my daughter. we are leaving this country. announcer: in 1989, the doors of the former soviet union finally opened. for most jews who had been denied jobs and forced into terrible poverty, , there was still no hope of having the means to ever realize their dream of returning to their homeland. but thanks to the help of the worldwide jewish community and programs like "on wings of eagles", what was only a distant dream became a modern-day miracle

in the fulfillment of miracle in the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. eckstein: this is the first sign that a jewish imigri will see when they arrive here in israel-welcome to israel. speaking hebrew) welcome israel. speaking hebrew) welcome home. for the emigrants who arrive and see this sign, it's often a very emotional experience, an overwhelming often a very emotional experience, an overwhelming one. announcer: tens of thousands of jewish families in the former soviet union are waiting, praying, and hoping for their chance for freedom in the promise land. christians are joining with jews to rescue these persecuted people for several reasons. first is to participate in the modern-day fulfillment of biblical prophecy. second is to show to god's chosen people that christians love them as jesus loved them and are willing to stand with them in their times of tribulation and need with their support and prayers.

and third is because god said in genesis 12:3 that he would bless those who bless said in genesis 12:3 that he would bless those who bless the seed of abraham. emotional donor: the only reason that i'm doing anything to help these people-it's not because i felt i should myself, but i was watching the little clip and god spoke to my heart and said "let my people go." and i thought, lord, i'm not stopping your people from leaving. and he said, "you are if you're not helping." you're doing nothing. you're not letting them go. donor: i believe in god even from a young boy, but i believe in the prophets. i believe in the scriptures. and i believe that this "wings of eagles" is one of the greatest things i've ever seen. donor: we had no idea that we would have the opportunity to come and to be part of this wonderful movement to bring, as they call it "aliyah" the jewish people back to as they call it "aliyah" the jewish people back to their homeland. spokesperson: aliyah is going up and that's what aliyah means going up. spokesperson: it refers to someone who is immigrating to israel, not just moving from one country to another but is making a spiritual ascent, country to another but is making a spiritual ascent, going back to the homeland. eckstein: my father was born here in old jerusalem as were my grandparents and

my great grandparents but since 1948 and the establishment of the state of israel, there has been a constant of israel, there has been a constant flow of "aliyah". we believe that when one moves here, when one comes here, one is going up spiritually; here, one is going up spiritually; one is closer to god. emigre: this year i will be making "aliyah" to israel. i am proud to be a jew. emigre: i want it because it's my country. i know that i'm a jewish girl and i want it's my country. i know that i'm a jewish girl and i want to live there. russian jew: i have only one child and i want him to grow up where he can be safe, where he can be proud that he is jewish. feldman: the essence of the existence of the state of israel is that this is a homeland for the jews because if israel would have existed just 15 years before it was founded in 1933, uh, there wouldn't founded in 1933, uh, there wouldn't be an auswitch or a dachau.

announcer: world war ii, hitler, the holocaust. announcer: world war ii, hitler, holocaust survivor: the nazi camp where i was a prisoner, over 200,000 women went into that camp with me and at the end of the war only 536 of us were still alive. everyone else was dead. emotional donor: they said the ground would literally look like it was breathing with all the people that were lying there stacked on top of each other dead and some of them underneath had gotten crushed and hadn't actually died yet they were breathing. they would just move. it's just, whatever you can do to help the people here. eckstein: the people who are coming to israel now "on wings of eagles" they are the remnants of israel who saw the suffering, who experienced the atrocities.

crowded conditions, very cramped quarters in big apartment buildings and the neighbors are always listening. the neighbors are always watching. russian jew: when i was growing up, my mother had to close the shutters and draw the curtains before she lit sabbath candles. spokesperson: there's always somebody who's going to whisper to the authorities that so and so is observing the jewish holidays, and then this person is going to get in trouble. emigre: i remember that at the age of 5 or 6 years old i did not want to be jewish because it was a shame. it was a hate name, a curse. just being called a jew was it was a hate name, a curse. just being called a jew was a curse. emigre: i worry because i know what the life of the elderly people is there, not only because of the anti-semitism but economically it's impossible to live there. emigre: they have no money for food and money for things.

(singing:) "let my people go". announcer: the governments of the former soviet union teeter at their inability to bring order and the jews who have been the scapegoats for the ills of russian society are the ones who suffer the most. russian jew: people who worked their entire lives and saved money and it all just disappeared. the government promised to return the money, but it never did. announcer: three hundred and fifty dollars sounds like so little to many of us. (singing:) "let my people go". announcer: but for tens of thousands of jews in the former soviet union, $350 is an impossible sum of money. hope is fading that they will ever be able to save enough to leave the persecution they have endured for too long before the door closes again. eckstein: her father had a dream. her father also dreamed of coming but he didn't make it. he died before hand.
