7:00 am
to fill up the weaknesses. god will take care of your weaknesses. don't live in competition with anybody else. god did not call you to be somebody else. he called you to be you. you don't have to be like anybody else. say right now, "i'm happy to be me." believe that god loves you unconditionally, unconditionally. he loves you right now just as much as he will ever love you. even when you behave better, god's not gonna love you any more than he does right now, because god is love. it's not something he does. it's who he is. value yourself as god's special and unique creation. you're not weird. you're unique. there's a big difference. i used to think, "well, my voice is really weird. i don't sound like other women," so i would try to lower my voice and sound sweeter. i actually did that. "well, praise the lord."
7:01 am
no, not me. "well, praise the lord!" >> [applauding] >> joyce: and honestly, i thought i was weird, but then i realized my voice is different. there's probably not another one like it. i'm unique. unique things are more valuable, amen? and some of you have some very unique things about you, too. i would venture to say that every one of us has got some unique feature where we're not like somebody else. stop torturing yourself thinking that you need to shove yourself into somebody else's mold. god created you purposely with his own hand and he wants you to stand up boldly and be the person that you are. >> [applauding]
7:02 am
>> joyce: and then the bible says we need to have peace with others. so here we've got peace with god, peace with ourselves, peace with other people. now, that's the problem, isn't it? my goodness, do i have enough time to preach this? i don't know. 2 timothy 2:23, "but refuse (shut your mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questions." the bible, welcome to the bible. "for you know they foster strife and breed quarrels." so what's he saying? "resist the devil at his onset." as soon as a thought that's gonna create strife or disagreement or disharmony
7:03 am
or disunity comes to you, shut your mind against it. that's when we need to get violent and say, "no, i'm not going there." >> [applauding] >> joyce: "well, i wish i didn't have these thoughts." that's not gonna work. "well, i just wish the devil would leave me alone. joyce, could you pray for me that the devil would leave me alone?" no, not really. don't even ask me to pray that, i'd be wasting my breath. i can pray that you will be full enough of the holy ghost that when he comes around in your space, you are gonna be the one that's gonna run him off. he's not gonna rule you, amen? >> [applauding] >> joyce: jesus didn't mess with him. "get thee behind me, satan. you are an offense and in my way," amen?
7:04 am
submit yourself to god. resist the devil, and he will flee. and all this upset and lack of peace and offense, it is something that the devil provokes. the servant of the lord must not strive. let's look at verse 24, "and the servant of the lord must not be quarrelsome (fighting, contending). instead, he must be kind, mild-tempered, [preserving the bond of peace]," on and on and on. so here's the bottom line. look at me and let me give it to you simple. hello, everybody. isn't this cool? right now, i am talking to hopefully millions of people in asia and russia and india and africa and the united states and australia, in europe. this is so cool.
7:05 am
and here is the word of the lord for today, "be easy to get along with." >> [applauding] >> joyce: wow, it's not complicated. how many of you are pretty high-maintenance? [laughing] i tell you what, as an employer, i love what i call low-maintenance employees. they come to work. they get there on time. they do their job. they go home. they don't murmur. they don't complain. they work 8 hours for 8 hours' pay. they don't even see a problem with that. they actually expect to work 8 hours for 8 hours' pay. that's a novel idea today.
7:06 am
let's learn how to be easy to get along with. let's be people that are easy to be around, and you know how you can have that? flowing in the holy ghost. get up every morning, spend that time with god. get that anointing stirred up. you know, i say to the lord, "i need to be well-oiled today, so i can slip in and out of sticky situations." >> [applauding] >> joyce: amen? man, i tell you what, it would scare the living daylights out of me to go out of my house without having spent my time with god, because i know the devil hates me, and he has already got a plan for what all he can do to me that day, and the only way that i know to properly avoid him is to be so full of the holy ghost that there's not anything he can do to me. you know, in isaiah, in isaiah, the bible talks about that
7:07 am
it's the anointing that destroys the yoke of bondage. so we tell people very often just to come and sit in a conference like this and just soak up the anointing, the corporate anointing from all the beautiful christians that are in here, the anointing on the worship, the anointing on the word of god. just to sit and just soak up the anointing. i mean, that in itself can break bondages off of you. but listen, in the amplified bible, this is what it says. the anointing is referred to as fatness, which is very interesting, and it says that because of fatness, the yoke is broken off of us. so this is one time when we get to legally be fat. we can be fat with the anointing and the presence of the holy ghost. and we need to be so fat with the holy ghost that the devil has no bondage that's big enough to fit around us, amen?
7:08 am
let's be fat in the spirit, hallelujah. all over the place, it says "strive." strive to be in peace. strive to be in peace. don't be in strife, but strive to be in peace. that word "strive" in the greek means "hard labor." in other words, here's the bottom line. if you're gonna get along with people, you're gonna have to want to. i said if you're gonna get along with people, you're gonna have to want to. maybe some of you are just getting real weary with trying to get along with the person you're married to, and you've been kind of contemplating, you know, getting a divorce and starting over. well, let me tell you something. the grass is usually not greener on the other side. you have to mow that grass, too, so maybe you ought to just try to stay and work things out.
7:09 am
all right, now, five ways to get along better with people. are you ready? number one, understand that everybody is different. god makes us different on purpose, sticks us together, and tells us to get along. not funny, god. how many of you have multiple children, and they're all different from each other, and you think, "how could all of these kids come out of the same place?" how many of you have kids that you get along with better than some of the other kids you have? how many of you have a child you love, but truth be known, you don't really like 'em very much? >> [laughing] >> joyce: is the one you don't like a lot like you?
7:10 am
>> [applauding] >> joyce: made my point, didn't i? man, when you've got a strong personality and you've got a strong-willed child, the war is on. i'll give you a secret. give 'em something to be in charge of and stay out of it. you can say, when they're 1, "this playpen is yours. you can chew on it. you can throw stuff in it. you can throw stuff out of it. whatever you want, this is yours right here. you can do whatever you want to in that." you gotta give a choleric some room, man. you can't make them feel like you're controlling everything they do. it's just gonna be war from day one if you do that. i honestly thought that i would go stark raving mad until i found out that there wasn't something wrong with people just because they weren't like me.
7:11 am
i'm telling the truth. i mean, i thought, "what is wrong with you? how could you think that? how could you like that? how could you want that?" oh, my goodness, when dave and i would try to decorate a room together, oh, lord, have mercy. he wants everything in a room to stand out. i mean, everything. and i want everything to blend and match. he likes flowers. i like this. he liked that, i like something else. "what is wrong with you? how could you possibly like that?" well, see, the thing we have to come to the place of realizing is that person has just as much right to like what they like as we have to like what we like. oh, you ain't so sure about that, are you? that clap's taking a while. >> [laughing]
7:12 am
>> joyce: "i don't know about that." honestly, god gives us all a basic temperament, and they're all different. i mean, peter, the apostle peter and john were so different. i mean, peter was like this fireball. couldn't keep his mouth shut for 2 seconds. and john just kind of hung out with jesus, and even called himself--he referred to himself in the book that he wrote, "i am the disciple whom jesus loves." >> [laughing] >> joyce: now, i'm a fair amount like peter, and i can tell you right now, that grated on peter. you just have no idea how that grated on peter. and let's don't forget, when jesus was teaching about
7:13 am
forgiveness, peter was the one who said, "how many times am i supposed to forgive my brother for the same thing?" these guys were people just like us. they got offended at each other. they were constantly dealing with that stuff. you know what, jesus had opportunity to be offended. let me ask you a question. he came to do a job. he was anointed to do that job. he had to maintain that anointing on his life. let me tell you, he needed an anointing to go to the cross. he needed the presence and the power of the holy spirit to make it through gethsemane. we have to have the power of the holy spirit to make it through these things. now, what do you think would have happened if jesus would have gotten offended at john the baptist when he began to doubt whether or not he was the one? so he kind of stored that up in this little area. and then he got offended at the religious people of his day
7:14 am
because they were always giving him trouble, so he kind of stored that up somewhere. then he got offended at his own family because his own brothers thought he was stark raving mad, so he kind of stuck that somewhere. kept trying to do his thing, you know. gonna do what god asked him to do, but he keeps getting all these weights and these hangnails in the spirit. you know what? we wouldn't be sitting here today. you're not listening to me. i said we wouldn't be sitting here today. he could not have finished what god would have called him to do, and he was tempted every time he'd turn around to take offense. i hope somebody sees something. let me tell you something, i have to work all the time at keeping offense out of my heart, and i have to deal with it violently. don't think that i'm any different than you. i can wake up in the morning and have some of the stupidest thoughts. i mean, i'm praying. all of a sudden, i'm thinking about something that somebody
7:15 am
said to me 2 weeks ago, "well..." the devil is the devil in everybody's life. and i mean, i say sometimes out loud, "no. no, not going there." you gotta shut your mind against that stuff. pray, "god, help me. i'm not going there." you know why? because i don't belong to myself. i don't have the privilege of acting like an ordinary person. paul told the corinthian church, he said, "you are carnal, a bunch of fleshly babies because you are behaving like mere unchanged men." let me say it again, we don't have the fleshly privilege of behaving like everybody else. the whole rest of the world can get mad and stay mad, but we don't get to stay mad. we may get mad. we don't get to stay mad. we've got to let it go, get over it, drop it, leave it,
7:16 am
and not be stumbling over this thing all the time. i'm determined to finish what god has called me to do, and you need to be determined to do what god has asked you to do. whatever that is, you need to be determined to finish it. and if it's nothing other than serve the lord with gladness, then be determined to do that. that's even a call. so everybody out there is not like us. they're gonna do things we don't understand, and we just need to really begin to look at a person, say, "you know what? you have just as much right as i do to be yourself, to think like you do." you know what, we don't have to answer for everybody else. we only have to answer for ourself. you know, life would be pretty boring if we were all alike. you know that? just think about making a smoothie that only had milk in it. it would only be milk.
7:17 am
but the more ingredients you add, the better that thing gets. you know, we have to learn how to appreciate the differences in people, and appreciate the value that they are to us, rather than thinking about how different they are from us, amen? my administrative assistant, penny, she's extremely organized, and i'm not a slob, but i'm not organized like her. you know, like, i'll get all my underwear in the same drawer, but they're not gonna be folded into these neat little piles, cream and black and brown and blue. i mean, i know where they're at. i can get 'em, but you know. you know, you got it? the shoes get to the closet, but i don't know about the--and so i asked her about a year ago what she did in her free time, and she said, "i organize things." i thought. she said, "yeah, that's like entertainment to me."
7:18 am
well, you know what i do in my free time? i lay on the couch and pray that god will send me somebody to organize my life. >> [applauding] >> joyce: and not only that, i do not feel one iota bad about myself because i don't want to cook, i'm not interested in cleaning. you know, i did all that for years and years and years. now i'm giving myself to a new thing that god has called me to do, and he sends me the rest of the help that i need. >> [applauding] >> joyce: stop feeling bad about yourself 'cause you're not like everybody else. i tried to be like my neighbor next door. she was miss arts and crafts and had a garden and painted the house and mowed the lawn. i don't have time to tell you all those stories, but it was just a nightmare. i mean, you know,
7:19 am
we got a garden. i got a sewing machine. i mean, you know, i finally made dave a pair of shorts and hemmed the stupid things on the wrong side. the hem was going up this way instead of underneath, and the pocket was longer than the shorts. i talked dave into digging up this garden and we planted tomatoes and he pulled weeds and i watched the tomatoes. i got my canning equipment. i was gonna can tomatoes with my neighbor. i was trying to be a regular woman. >> [laughing] >> joyce: and the night before we were gonna can, we had it planned, "we'll start tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock." a swarm of black bugs came in and ate big holes in all my tomatoes, but she lived right next door to me, and they didn't touch her tomatoes. i got a little offended at god.
7:20 am
i was like, "now, i'm a woman of faith, and i've been praying over these tomatoes, and the bugs ate holes in my tomatoes. they didn't even touch her tomatoes." he said, "i never told you to grow tomatoes." >> [applauding] >> joyce: "i don't have any obligation to protect your tomatoes. i've called you to preach the gospel." come on. stop trying to be somebody else and just be fully and completely you, and let everybody else be who they are. i'm in trouble. i got four points left and i'm out of time. i'll throw 'em at you. be humble. learn how to say "i'm not always right," oh. learn how to say, "yeah, it's okay if we do that. i don't have to get my way all the time." [laughing] oh, it's a shame
7:21 am
we don't have another hour. this is getting good. stop trying to change people and leave that to god. stop wanting people to be what they're not. give criticism sparingly. people don't respond well to criticism, but they respond very well to and are motivated by encouragement. mind your own business. >> [laughing] >> joyce: and always believe the best. more than anything, the most important thing for me is to maintain the anointing that god has given me, and the way to do that is to stay in peace. where there's unity, there's anointing and there is blessing. >> joyce: well, we need

[cheering] hold up, okay, never mind. john chapter 1, verse 17, my favorite scripture verse. john chapter 1, verse 17, "for the law was given through moses,
7:28 am
but grace and truth came through jesus christ." the law was given. you can give from a distance. i can send a dvd of myself from singapore, but i came. grace and truth came, through jesus christ. the law was given through his servant, grace came through the son. the law talks about what man ought to be. grace reveals who god is. in the first miracle of moses, he turned the water into blood, resulting in death. in the first miracle of grace, jesus turned the water into wine resulting in life and celebration. under law, god demands righteousness from
7:29 am
sinfully-bankrupt men. but under grace, god provides righteousness as a gift. now which one do you want to be under? i thought you would. and yet today we are so confused, we mixed up law and grace. we have some law and some grace. jesus said, "you cannot put new wine, grace, into the old wineskin because the new wine would ferment and you will lose both." now, under law, god said, "i'll by no means pass by your transgressions, but i'll visit your sins to the third and fourth generation." but under grace god says, "i will be merciful to your unrighteousness and your sins i will remember no more." there's been a change. there's been a change, church, and it's all because of jesus. and yet, we are still preaching the law.
7:30 am
we are still preaching if you obey god, god will bless you. if you disobey god, god will curse you. now it sounds so right, but it's so dangerous because today, many of us, we don't have it altogether, but we are so blessed. i mean joel and i will testify to that. it is called, unearned, undeserved, unmerited favor. amen. you know when jesus preached the sermon on the mount, he said, "love your enemies." we've got problems loving our neighbor, let alone our enemies. he said, "if your right eye offend you, pluck it out. throw it away from you. if your hand offend you, cut it off." have you seen any church anyone doing that? the church will look like a huge amputation ward. so what did jesus mean? jesus brought the law to its pristine standard where the
7:31 am
pharisees has brought the law in a way that's manageable. jesus says, "if you give the woman the eye, you have sinned." the pharisees says unless you do it physically, you have sinned. so jesus is an expert at using the law to bring you to the end of yourself so that you'll see your need for jesus. amen? he didn't mean for you to pluck out your eye and cut off your hand. "pastor prince, you should have come earlier." ♪ clap your stubs ♪ all together. at least you still got your eyeball. so what did jesus mean? now if jesus preached the sermon on the mount and he stayed up there on the mount, there'll be no hope for us. but you know the king of the sermon on the mount, the king came down the mountain. he came down to where there was sighing, crying, dying humanity.
7:32 am
and somehow there was a leper that made his way by stealth in the midst of the crowd. and jesus found that leper and he said, "lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." there's no way the standards of the sermon on the mount could save him. jesus came down to where we were, and jesus touched him. he has not been touched all these years. he has not embraced his children. he cannot even be in a public place for a leper. it's someone unclean. and when he's in a public place he must shout, "unclean, unclean." and here he is before jesus and he says, "lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." he didn't doubt jesus could. he doubt he would. and jesus stretched out his hand and says, "i am willing. be cleansed." now watch this. under law, the leper--
7:33 am
the unclean, will make the clean unclean. but under grace, jesus made the unclean clean. under law, sin is contagious. under grace, righteousness and god's goodness is contagious. we need not fear that being under grace will cause licentiousness because the bible says clearly in romans 6:14, if you look up here, "for sin shall not have dominion over you, for, or because, you are not under law but under grace." but what we have believed is that when you are under grace, sin will have dominion over you. we've been hoodwinked by the devil. the word of god is so clear. when you are under grace, and not under law, sin shall not have dominion over you.
7:34 am
the word "sin" there is a noun. you can put, "satan shall not have dominion over you. sickness shall not have dominion over you. poverty shall not have dominion over you." when? when you are not under law, but under grace. this idea, that when people are under grace it will cause licentiousness, is from the pit of hell. you cannot be under water and not be wet anymore than you can be under grace and not be holy. you see, joel's ministry, he preaches people right into the grace of god. you never knew you got slapped right into the grace of god with god's goodness. that smile is dangerous to the devil. [applauding] and then there's always some people who will say, "well, pastor prince, you need to preach more on repentance." he tells joel, "joel, you need
7:35 am
to preach more on repentance." but you know something? under law, you have to repent first before god can bless you. but under grace, god blesses you first and he'll receive the blessing in his goodness. the goodness of god will lead you to repentance. there's been a change. so why don't we just open up the people's hearts and let them receive god's goodness anyway? when they receive god's goodness, they will change, not because of their willpower, but because of his goodness. amen? you know, every sunday from this pulpit, repentance is going on in the church because as joel preaches, the greek word for repentance is metanoia. changing of minds is taking place all the time, all the time. repentance is not beating your breast shouting, "jesus, jesus," in the altar call. you understand? you can do all that and go away unchanged because you have not
7:36 am
heard something that will change your life. but every time you hear the word of god, you hear the good news, you hear how wonderful god is and his plans towards you are plans of good and not evil, how god is for you, your minds begin to change. because the natural man, they have hard thoughts about god. their thoughts about god are legalistic and hard. you see, joel's preaching is dangerous to the kingdom of darkness, so is my preaching. amen. god is raising ministers of righteousness in these last days. in the past, the church has had many ministers and we have great revivals, no doubt, no doubt, all right, and those revivals have been characterized by preaching against sin and they are revivals, nonetheless. i'm not saying that people are not saved.
7:37 am
i'm not saying there were not revivals. but if you look at 2 corinthians 3:9 it tells us up here--look up here. it says, "if the ministry of condemnation had glory--" god calls those ministry, ministry of condemnation, those revivals that emphasize sin, preaching against sin, god calls them ministry of condemnation. and god said they were glorious. but look, watch this. "the ministry of righteousness exceeds, exceeds much more in glory." you ain't seen nothing yet! god is raising ministers of righteousness all over the world. there is a grace revolution on, and we are so glad we are part of it. amen. gone are those days of ministries of condemnation. it's ministry of righteousness. you know, i remember many years ago in my living room, god spoke to me while i was doing my study. i was sitting on the floor and with all my bibles and my study
7:38 am
aids and god spoke to me very clearly on the inside. he said, "son, study the journey of the children of israel from egypt to mount sinai, for this is a picture of pure grace. although they murmured and complained during this time, not a single one died." now i've never heard anyone preach this at that time. i've never read any books on it, so i feverishly went to my bible, checked that portion as if to prove god wrong. have you done that before? you can never win god. and i found not a single one died from egypt to sinai. although they murmured, they complained. now how many know murmuring and complaining is sin? all right, before the red sea, when the armies of pharaoh were charging against them from behind and the red sea was in front of them, they shouted,
7:39 am
"moses, did you bring us out here to die? are there not enough grace in egypt?" they murmured and complained. no one died. god opened up the sea. next 3 days they were doing okay and then there was no water. they complained and god made the bitter waters sweet. they were okay for a few days and then they complained there was no food and god rained, not judgment, but bread from heaven. it seems like every fresh murmuring brought forth fresh demonstration of god's goodness. they complained again there was no water and god brought forth water out of the flinty rock. and then they came to the foot of mount sinai in exodus 19. and then they said to god, "all that the lord has said, we will do." now in the hebrew, it's a strong word, [speaking hebrew] which means, "all that god can command us, we can do it."
7:40 am
even before they heard the ten commandments in chapter 20, they boasted even before they have heard. now, that is man presuming on his own strength, on his own righteousness, which he had none. and all this while, god has blessed them, not because they are good, but because he is good. he has made a way and provided for them, not because of their faithfulness, but because of his faithfulness. they came out by the abrahamic covenant of grace and now at the foot of the mountain in essence, they are saying to god, "god, don't treat us--don't judge us. don't assess us based on--don't bless us based on your goodness, bless us based on our obedience." the moment man presumed on his own strength, notice god changed his stone in exodus 19. god said, "moses, tell them don't come near." all of a sudden god puts
7:41 am
a distance between him and man. "if you want me to bless you based on your obedience, based on your goodness, then don't come near. the mountain is holy, lest you die." now he never had that tone before, before this. he was in the pillar of cloud by day, in the pillar of fire by night. he was close to them and yet all of a sudden because man presumed on his holiness, on his own righteousness, which he had none, god says, "this is the deal. if you want me to bless you based on your obedience, don't come near, not even a beast can come near lest it dies." the next chapter god gives them the big ten. and listen, god did not say, "if you break one, you are guilty of the one you break." god says, "if you break one, you are guilty of all." in other words, if you don't commit adultery, but you steal, god sees you as an adulterer.
7:42 am
that's what it means. in other words, the ten commandments stands as a composite whole. and you know what happened after that? right after sinai when they murmured and complained, the same sin they committed before sinai, you know what happened? they died. when they complained, they died. when they complained, they died. that tells us they should never have exchanged covenants. and god put israel--for 1500 years, god put israel under the law and the best of them failed, even david failed. see, the law condemns the best of us. grace saves the worst of us. hallelujah for his amazing grace. the scriptures are clear that the ministry of death--if you look up here in 2 corinthians 3, it tells you clearly in verse 7, "if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones," notice ministry of death.
7:43 am
god calls the ten commandments the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones. now you cannot tell me, "pastor prince, we are not under law in the sense we are not under killing of sacrificial animals. we are not under the feast of israel," because those laws were never engraved on stones. the ministry of death god is talking about are the only ones engraved on stones, and what are they? the ten commandments. god calls it the ministry of death and sometimes we have a series of sunday meetings where we teach the ten commandments, killing people softly, every single week. god calls it the ministry of death. look at the verse before this. "god has made us ministers--sufficient as ministers of the new covenant." now, if you want to be a minister of the old covenant, there's no power. there's no sufficiency there. there's no provision. there is no favor. there is no charisma and no charismata. all right, god only makes
7:44 am
sufficient those who are ministers of the new covenant. and it tells us clearly, "not of the letter but of the spirit; for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life." do you know that at first pentecost, 50 days after passover, the first passover was the children of israel with the blood of the lamb on the doorpost. that was the first passover. fifty days after that, they were at the foot of mount sinai. and what did god give? god gave the law and 3,000 people died in the new covenant when the day of pentecost was fully come. god gave, not the law, but the spirit on mount zion and 3,000 were saved. the letter kills but, grace, the spirit, gives life! hallelujah! let's move our pulpits from mount sinai to mount zion. we're on the wrong mountain. god has moved mountains, and we
7:45 am
are still camped at mount sinai. no wonder we are being shaken because those that trust in the lord shall be as mount zion, the new covenant. you shall not be shaken forever. don't misunderstand me. the law is holy. the law is righteous, but they cannot make you righteous. the law is unbending, therein lies its problem. it is like a mirror. when you look at a mirror, it is unbendingly and inflexibly true. if you see ugly--which i never do. [laughing] if you see ugly, don't blame the mirror! don't break the mirror, don't punch the mirror. sometimes you look at it, it breaks.
7:46 am
the law just reveals who you are, but it has no power to cleanse away your blemishes. the law is holy, but it cannot make you holy. if the law bends slightly, it's no more the law. you see the deal is this, if you can keep god's law, god will bless you, yes. but by the same token, if you break one, god has to curse you. can you understand that? sometimes we--we think that by preaching the law, people become lawful. but the bible says clearly the strength of sin is the law. you hardly hear that preached in 1 corinthians 5, verse 56, "the sting of death is sin, the strength of sin is the law." wow. the word "strength" there is "dunamis" in the greek.
7:47 am
the strength of sin is the law. guess what? who is trying to bring the strength of sin back to the church? and he uses the pulpit. and no marvel because his ministers are transformed into ministers of righteousness, righteousness according to works. his name in hebrew is ha-satan, which means prosecutor at law. the devil, long before he can steal, kill or destroy, he's the accuser. you must receive his accusation before he can steal from you. you must receive his accusation before he can kill, before he can destroy. he's not called the destroyer, he's called the accuser. not the murderer, but the accuser of our brethren. you need to know his devices. in colossians 2 it tells us jesus nailed the handwriting of ordinances to his cross.
7:48 am
now what is the handwriting of ordinances? someone says, "no one can arbitrate god's handwriting." yeah, but god can. god nailed the law to the cross. you know what's the next verse? having disarmed principalities and powers. that tells you the armory, the weapon of the devil is the law. the devil uses the law to knock you on the head. it tells you "you have not done this enough, you have not done that enough." even when you do right, it's not enough. when you do wrong, it tells you, you have done wrong. when you do right, it tells you it's not enough. he's the accuser, the accuser. "pastor prince, i'm married to one." no, that's not, that's your wife's voice of conscience speaking to you, brother. you heard about the guy who boasted to his friends? "you know last night i had my wife begging, begging me on her knees."
7:49 am
his friends were, you know, so awed by that and say, "what did she say? what did she say?" "come out from under the bed and fight like a man." [laughing] no, it didn't happen to me, okay? please. there was a minister at a cemetery once and he heard someone crying. so he made his way over to the place where he heard the crying, and there was this man hugging the tombstone, crying, "why did you leave me? why did you leave me?" the pastor went to him and said, "can i pray for you?" and he says, "yeah." "who is that that passed away?" "my wife's first husband." [laughing] okay, let's get back to what i was sharing with you. we are so afraid when people are
7:50 am
not under law, they become lawless. that's the fleshly fear the devil puts in the hearts and the minds of the people. the devil tells you without the law, you become lawless. but how come god called abraham his friend? abraham lived more than 400 years before the ten commandments was given and he was tight with god, man. he was called my friend. ♪ i'm a friend of god ♪ i'm a friend of god >> announcer: next on "destined to reign." >> you know how god feels appreciated? david gave us the answer. "what shall i give back to god for all his benefits to me? i will take the cup of salvation." the answer, all right, is to take some more from god. amen. god loves for you to take from him. take your healing. take your provision. take his goodness. take, take, take, take!
