good evening the spring hill couple convicted for concealing a sink hole from home buyers found out today if they have to face jail time. a judge handed over a sentence. five years probation. as shannon behnken shows us,

>> you didn't know there was a sink hole there? >> no. >> reporter: a judge decided they won't go to prison. >> that was very reasoned approach. and it will be resolved. >> that's what you guys wanted. probation. that's what you think is fair. >> that's what i asked for. >> that's what i asked for. >> reporter: the judge heard hours and called his decision a close call. the james were convicted on one count each of wire fraud. at the start of the day the jasons each faced at least two years in prison. but whitemore sentenced them to six months arrest and five years probation. >> the home buyers buyers are happy to put this behind them and move forward. >> we can do things like we

donald trump has clearly stolen the republican party. the democrats also have a pretty good start in the name of bernie sanders. i think he surprised a lot of folks in the hillary clinton camp. joining me now to talk about what we expect to see is usf professor and political expert dr. susan mcmannus. thank you for being here. tell me what about chris christie and marco rubio. >> reporter: everybody is going to be going after marco rubio because he's in the three in the poles. everybody else is clustered back. and they have to make their sale in this debate because there's still 1/3 of caucusgoers that still say they could change their mind.

they walk in and thinking we're going for this candidate. i think that's what's good about the caucus system, if you're a good leader you can lure people to your side. i think a lot is guiding to hillary clinton's get out the vote. independents are key for both parties and the turn out. >> that's the hardest thing to predict of all. let me show you who's as much under the spotlight. that's all the pollsters. because they've been wrong lately. they're waiting to see if they're going to be wrong about this. you cannot predict turn out. it starts at 7:00 at night. people get tired at work. their kids are sick. they just want a good meal and they say, my guy is winning or losing and not going. >> the weather is pretty good in iowa jen. i can tell you it's 34, 35 degrees outside. by iowa standards that's not bad. by monday they're talking about

she faces several drugs and child endangerment charges. they also locked up two juveniles at the home. sheriff chris noco told reporters the home is a known drug house. >> when you call us up because you're saying you're a victim of a home invasion. you're not a real victim. you're a high probability victim. you cause this upon yourself. and if we can find a way too arrest you we're going to find a way to arrest you. >> after the three suspects burst into the home, clark's boyfriend shot at them wounding a 16-year-old girl who is staying there at the time. that man will not face charges. the girl though is in serious condition. an amber alert has been cancelled. two missing children have been found and their mother is in custody. police tell us the kids were taken from their grandparents from the mother who does not have custody and has threatened to harm the children before. the kids and their children

a report from the city released last april showed the number of accidents going down at red light intersections. but at some intersections the numbers are actually going up. signs warn motorists of red light cameras, some traffic apps even give you a warning. >> red light camera reported ahead. >> reporter: still, people are getting caught. >> i broke the law. i turned before stopping. >> reporter: we don't get a penny. >> reporter: the lakeland police department does not get any of the money but they still like the cameras. are the red light cameras working? >> in our opinion yes. >> reporter: in april, city officials presented a glowing red light camera report to the legislature. showing the number of accidents down by 33%. >> when we got the report it was, it was outstanding. >> reporter: but now lakeland's mayor has discovered a new

the number of accidents at some intersections actually went up and he wants to reconsider the program. >> we want to look at the the cameras to find out that the thought it was. >> reporter: the lakeland city council was expected to address the red light issue at their -- their council meeting. and because of the fog, the carnival paradise could not leave on their cruise. now their four day trip to cozumel will be a three day cruise to nowhere. they will receive a refund. it's safety first but if you paid for a cruise. >> yeah, no fun. come another time. we're going to see some improvement.

you just blew right past that. >> you kind of went, uh-uh. i was looking for something bold. wrapping up to the east, cools in the upper 60s but it's drying out pretty quickly. the winds too, are changing out of the northwest. that means a front is farther to the south. not too bad at this hour but i think we'll see gustier conditions in the forecast area for tomorrow. there's a look at the rain right now. everything pushing off to the east fast. this indicates too slightly drier air starting to build into the region. so yes a sprinkle or two possible this evening but you can see how rapidly everything is moving from west to east. there's not a whole lot to the west. we'll live a rain chance in the forecast from 10:00 to 11:00. the effects of the front will be felt further with that cool air pushing southward on a northwesterly breeze. that at times could be gusty. that would mean sunshine for tomorrow into saturday. and some cooler temps.

statement that it could use your information freely. but raised the concerning about click bait. >> they will try to trick you to click this or that. >> reporter: many of these obscure or outrageous links could put you at risk. some could be scam to steal sensitive information o or others could contain viruses. avoid links that promise exclusive or shocking. make sure your friends accounts wasn't hacked if you clicked on something. >> i haven't gotten anything yet. hopefully i don't get any. >> reporter: just remember if the link looks too good to be true, it probably is. be cautious of any links that ask for your cell phone number. you could be seeing unwanted charges on your next phone bill. the extreme people at red

that's simply sublime. one of the world's top acrobatic fliers went on a trip. oracio yoren pulled off this beautiful sight. got to love red bull. they're always out on the edge there. beautiful. we have showers, very slight stuff. but this trough chases away what's going on at the surface. down to pinellas park. you can see too sarasota down to north port and to wachula. still rain, eastern polk and highlands county. highlands is happy to see that. 58degrees at 10:00 p.m. drying out. you can see by midnight. and probably before that. this evening. at 3:00 a.m. partly cloudy skies, skies clearing. winds out of the northwest.

windy too. a much cooler feel to the start of the day. humidity still relatively high. helping to hold down these temperatures. from inverness 62. 64 in north port. we talk about troughs. kind of a dip in the atmosphere. as it takes control of what's happening. it's pushing all of this moisture out of the way and allows the surface to give us more of a northerly breeze. we still have this front that was sometimes stationary but is now eventually going to be a cold front moving through the area and all that rain pushing eastward. still though a few light showers back to the west that's why we'll leave a slight possibility through the midnight hour and in the overnight hours things will definitely start to clear out. exactly that with clear skies, much cooler conditions for tomorrow morning. as we get into friday afternoon. still breezy with below average temperatures for us. as high pressure continues to build in.
