"the wall street journal" had an article. they were trying to figure out what's the right temperature to fall asleep and to stay asleep. "the wall street journal" agrees with kathie lee who says that the right temperature is between 60 and 65. why do you think 60 and 65? >> because that's the most comfortable for me. i like to sleep without anything on and i like to be very cozy and -- >> you see what she just did? she got her wine bot going again. i like to sleep naked. kathie lee, kathie lee, kathie lee. >> no, i don't like to be hot. especially when you've been through menopause.

"the wall street journal" said -- >> for you. i said 70 is right for me. >> what was the other temperature they gave us. >> they didn't give us. >> what did hoda say in the

12:55 pm
we have a tornado warning for 5 more minutes but i wouldn't be surprised if it's extended. it's about to move over i-75 as well. if you know of anybody traveling i-75, whether they're going southbound or north pound from fort myers tell them to pull off the road somewhere safe, wait for this storm to pass. the storm will be through here shortly. any high profile vehicle or any vehicle for that matter is not a safe place to be on i-75 or 41 as the storm continues to track northeast. here's the latest from the velocity. we've shown this. these are winds rotating
12:56 pm
picture. this help us determine where the tornado would be located east of englewood in a rural location in southern sarasota county. that's right around -- >> river road. >> right around river road . that's tracking to the northeast and will very shortly pass into a little bit of charlotte county and then it will move into parts of perhaps eastern sarasota county and hopefully stay south of north port. we have a large population in the north port area. north port you want to keep an eye on this storm as well. yeah, leigh, your input here for a second. >> we just got the latest scan. you can see how quick ly this is moving. since bryan stepped off it's passed through englewood. once you're all in one color there, like englewood, that means moves are moving in one direction. they could be strong but they're not rotating.
12:57 pm
it's when we spread further east that's where we're still seeing the red and green colors, winds going in one direction around winchester boulevard and in the opposite direction. that's where we're looking at the possibility of seeing this storm system that has held together. i mean, bryan and i watched this for several hours in the gulf of mexico hoping it would weaken before it came on shore. unfortunately we knew that was the pattern it's not a water spout, it's a tornado. that's what we've seen pass over the barrier islands, off of sarasota county and right into the southeastern -- or very southern portion of sarasota. again, as bryan was mentioning, this could track into charlotte county heading towards u.s. 41 in charlotte and may even then go back into sarasota county if it holds together. again, it has a
12:58 pm
here's our latest scan, keeping you updated on where this storm is. it's relatively rural right now. the only one that our system is picking up right now is winchester boulevard and it will be already passed winchester. i don't want to leave anybody out. this is where this is heading, into charlotte county south of 41. for another 2 minutes or so we have officially have a tornado warning for this area that's now in polk county and near the baird community in southern polk county. still west of 37. not as much as rotation. again, we'll check in back with the weather service in about a minute and a half to see if they have let that one expire. widen viewpoint, again -- let me just take this off. sorry about that. there we go. so here's what we have going on right now, without any sort of distractions for you so
12:59 pm
significant storms are. there are in the duet county, in the northeastern portion of sarasota county and polk county. we also still have this area in southern sarasota which is the most concerning at this point. again, just because of the history of this storm, this cell that bryan and i watched for several hours now. so, again, i don't want to get kind of lost down here in englewood and people up from tampa north wonder what we're talking about or where this is in location to them. if you are north of i-4 you are basically safe. now, we've just been issued a severe thunderstorm warning for charlotte, desoto and sarasota. as we thought the tornado warning has been allowed to expire. we thought we were seeing less and less rotation here. this area here no longer
1:00 pm
still could be some strong winds. now, we also have -- >> could we go back to the radar picture real quick? i was looking at some twitter feed a second ago to try to see if we're getting any pictures or reports of tornado. as leigh mentioned, that tornado warning has expired. folks around tampa are concerned. they said it's like a monsoon with heavy rain i just want to let you know at this point it's not severe but it's a storm producing very heavy rain as it moves over south tampa, expect heavy rain. not a good idea to be out driving on i-75. not a severe storm at the the only severe storm we have right now according to the weather service is this
