slow-poke drivers as well. we will begin with an 8 on your side exclusive terrifying drive. a gun pointed at this woman's head over a case of road rage. deputies say the guy with the gun, an armored truck employee. the incident happened early sunday night but the woman is still shaken by it. she feared for her life. she feels like it could have been right there as she talked to her husband on her cell phone. peter bernard joins us live from the pinellas county jail and where is that suspect now, peter? >> good evening. the accused road rager was arrested and taken to the pinellas county deal and bonded out on the same day. i notice that there was a car that cut me off. >> on her way home sunday evening, rochelle did not like being cut off so she let the other driver know. >> i was surprised and i honked at the guy and he slammed on his brakes and so i flashed my

>> and she thought that was the end. she was wrong. rochelle says the driver got behind her and got in front of her and get out. >> i thought he had a cell phone in his han and i was like gun. >> reporter: terrified she trigger. >> i screamed he had a gun and he turned it side ways. >> reporter: the other driver is dean confortty, an employee of dunbar armored trucks. i stopped by the employees' office to see if he works there. >> we have no comment. >> can you tell me what dean con forty does for you guys? >> no comment, sir. >> next, we stopped by dean con forty's house in st. pete. >> we are from new channel 8

rage incident. >> a corporate spokesperson says employment is based on a clean criminal record meaning if convicted con for thety's days are done. >> did you fear for your life? >> i did because he had my car blocked in. >> rochelle is taking a different route at home and gets her husband on the phone and promising she will never honk at another driver and he is denying he got in front of her and got out of the car and ever pointed a gun. stacy. the question is, peter, does she plan to see the case through as it goes through the court system? >> oh, yeah. there is a hearing coming up and conflicting with something she has to do. she does promise to go through with this and she is mad. tampa police are trying to figure out who killed a man found dead in a car.

noticing someone unconscious inside the nissan. the victim was jamal rumlin. the victim was a father of two. hours of frustration for people trying to get help from the irs. for the past two days, they have been lining up at the crack of dawn for a chance to get in the office. we send 8 on your side rob carter to check out the problem. rod is joining us in tampa. i saw the lines, rod, unbelievable. what is going on? >> reporter: the lines were so long and people had to wait that someone brought a couple of chairs and right up at the front door and when they got close to the door they would have a place to sit for a while. i realize that all of those people that were in this line all had the same issue. most of them, nearly all were victims of identity theft. >> it's true. >> for hours and hours today

stood and stood a little bit longer. the faces of the eager people waiting to see the tax man. >> this is not your first time being here? >> no. >> jessica is on her second go round trying to get help. >> i had identity theft in 2014 and i'm trying to get my income tax this year and i'm having trouble getting that. >> reporter: and that's the story down the line. wonda rivera had the same problem. they have to show a lot of patience and proof. >> i am prepared. >> reporter: and she should be prepared. for the past couple of days, these lines have been long and slow. >> since about 9:30 but this is my second day. i was here on monday, sat until they closed and got right here and they closed the door and that was it.

on in pinellas county. firefighters put out a boat

harbor. the video shows the flames and smoke. two men onboard jumped to safety. one had minor injuries. we are told the boat stalled out shortly after it had been refueled. the own owner tried to start it again and the fire started. the community is coming together to help a pasco county deputy. he was injured in a car accident on duty. that was the tip of the iceberg. while at the hospital doctors discovered he had lung cancer. multiple surgeries, relapses and staff infections later, he is finally back home but he lives on a third floor apartment and has trouble managing the stairs. a professional baseball player, scott afio son offered him a place to live and a local company offered to help him pack. >> everything you see on the

are not seeing this type of story out there right now. and to see that the community does care, i know first hand that they do. and we are happy to bring this type of story to you. durner served in the military. doctors say he should be able to return to his job at the sheriff's office part-time in may. we talk about the dangers of driving too fast and speeding but it turns out driving slowly, really slow can be just as dangerous. that's why troopers are cracking down on slow-pokes.

tickets can cost you. you need to speed up or you can get fined. florida highway patrol. we are in the height of tourist season and troopers are warning drivers they can get a ticket if they don't obey the minimum speed limit. tampa. do you have the radar gun out? i see it. >> they do and it is usually called the speed busters radar gun but now it is the slow busters gun. i have talked to people going below the speed limit but if you go too slow it can cost you.

temperatures, easy to see why spring breakers and snowbirds mercury goes north. the state is expected to visitors. meaning lots of unfamiliar drivers on tampa bay roads and highways slowing things down >> i whip around them. >> the people don't know what they are doing because they are from another state. >> everyone has to mix and match their driving skills and behaviors. >> driving too slow is not just really annoying for everyone dangerous. >> to keep motorists safe, the florida highway patrol is warning drivers that they could be fined if they don't obey the minimum speed limit. >> if we have drivers in multiple lanes going too slow and too fast and people tend to try to jump around and pass on used to seeing people past on

p.m. in the overnight, mostly in the 50s. close to the averages, a little bit cool it looks like because this cold front has now moved down to the south and as a result slightly slightly cooler air moving into the area but we still have the high clouds streaming in here from the west. 71 degrees. tampa and apollo beach and lakeland st. pete 70s. cooler north to south. pensacola and miami. melbourne on the east coast. high pressure taking over once the front moves through and we talked about how this wouldn't be a big deal. you seafronts move in and think severe weather or extreme cold. as we are starting to get into march, the fronts themselves have less after temperature impact. yes, they can help to lower the humidity and bring slightly cooler air but not big changes with this particular front. the high clouds continue to move from the west.

along the upper level flow. from west to east. the front will move to the south and lingering clouds. depending on where you are. you just saw the camera images and the satellite showing exactly that. for tomorrow morning, feeling cooler and some of the clouds left around. 40s, temperatures below the averages. we look back to the north again for friday. another cold front, this one also not a big deal. we will push this to the south. the rain chances are higher. perhaps a bit more moisture to work with. they will come earlier in the day. 7:00 in the morning. it looks by noon it is down to the south and we open up the skies. although you do notice an easterly flow that may drive a few clouds across the state and a sprinkle in the east coast of florida and we stay dry. the temperatures are a very nice level. that's good because we have one hundred million visitors coming to florida annually and a lot of them this time of year. they love this kind of weather. we want them to have a great time.
