we will get to imin a second. happy friday. i'm josh benson. >> and i'm stacie schaible. we want to go to meteorologist julie phillips. >> we are kicking off on a beautiful note. winds out of the informant at 10 miles per hour. really a gorgeous afternoon. we had a cold front that rolled through earlier and brought us a few showers and a couple of storms but that is long gone. well to the south of us now. and you can see we are dealing with mostly sunny skies for this afternoon. a little bit of cloud cover for this evening but overall going to be quiet, friday night for us. behind the front, the winds coming in out of the northwest between 10 to 15 miles per hour. slightly breezy at times. shouldn't be too bad.

still warm right now. 72 in temple terrace. inland spots have heated up. we are coming in 77 at lakeland. for the rest of the evening temperatures will fall back after sunset. a little bit on the cool side to start off saturday morning in the low 50s and talking about a really nice weekend forecast and we will have the details on that coming up in a few minutes. all of that beautiful weather means the beaches are going to be busy this weekend. jammed. and add spring break crowds and the making of bumper to bumper traffic. colleges and universities are starting breaks this week and a few students enjoying time away from the classroom and hitting clearwater beach. parking is limited but there is an inexpensive alternative taking the ferry from downtown. >> one of the things that the city is doing is subsidizing the ferry, for two dollars each way you can get to clearwater

traffic or finding a parking spot. now to deal with the expected influx of spring breakers clearwater police are bringing in extra officers to keep an eye on things. now to your vote and the republican debate. a lot of us are talking about temperature last night's republican debate was on verbal brawl and it stayed that way. it comes down to this, three candidates desperate to stop donald trump. texas senator cruz, joining the fight pushing for a one-on-one match-up with trump. ohio governor john kaisch believes his lower volume pitch will get through a primary in home state and florida senator marco rubio trying to stay alive until the florida primary on march 15th. so what do people in the bay area think about all of this political name calling? and that's what this is. out. >> first of all, i didn't think it was presidential and i think politics has gone down in the

i was disappointed with some of the comments made early in the debate. it got better towards the end. >> and it comes down to the next 11 days when we will find out whether donald trump is able to secure the nomination or if the republican race is head to a contested convention which would happen this summer. well, after more than 25 years in ybor city spaghetti warehouse is closing. opened until wednesday but closed forever thursday, march 10th. the company thanked the staff for it's the dedication. the restaurant is in a building that used to be the largest cigar factory in the world. in st. pete, maybe rick criesman broke ground on a 41 tower condominium tower called one st. peteburg. it will change the skyline. this is a virtual tour.

going to notice it tomorrow morning. our temperatures will be in the low 50s through the day expect lots of sunshine and temperatures reaching back in the mid-70s. ideal temperatures there. if you are an allergy sufferer, pollen count not nice in the high range this week and next week. we do have fairly high pollen counts expected. on the radar, no rain in sight. a dry evening. no worries. no rain on the way. just a few clouds expected for the weekend. temperatures will drop back a little bit more quickly tonight. so waking up in the low 50s. you may want a light jacket, not to worry, you won't need it for long. by the afternoon back in the mid-70s. expect lots of sunshine through the day. a light breeze coming in out of the north thanks to the cold front and actually on sunday a

josh, i have to tell you i did not know how important breathing was until i put on that mask. i needed two tanks for that one segment but here to talk about the boats right now. they tell me that there are close to 150 boats and you would have to go all over florida to find this many boats. now, i have kind of got my eye on this boat here. an 18 footer and for the boat show, they are breaking it down to $21,000 and telling me that just for the boat show, they have a bunch of specials and a lot of things going on here for people to come down. now, i was just in the tank. my man, big wave, dave, you helped me out tremendously. talk to me about the diving. >> 150 boats, right? if you are a boat you should be a diver because your anchor may get fouled and you come out this week with nice heated water and bring your swimsuit and jump in and get your pick taken and have a great time. >> how much time can you spend in the water and do i have to know anything to get in the

again temperatures drop back more quickly. for your week forecast. and your average temperatures, lots of sunshine. for next week, we will see things heating up in the 80s, very quickly. through that period and then next storm system is not going to arrive until next friday or saturday. we are still fine tuning the timing on that. until then, just expect dry conditions to stay with us. we did have a front move through and some of you may have woke up to wet roadways because we saw the storms roll through. this is long gone and we are stuck with a few clouds in the overnight. you may want a light jacket heading out early tomorrow. you can toss it because by the afternoon back in the mid-70s and nice light breeze is expected tomorrow out of the the north and by sunday, actually tracking another weak front. this is mainly going to keep the winds out of the north and keep the temperatures in the mid-70s. don't expect a cool down.
