no rain expected for tomorrow. for the rest of this evening, temperatures will remain in the low 70s. mostly clear skies and comfortable temperatures into the overnight hours. you can see across the state of california, it is dry. dialling with some pretty serious flooding. it's been about a week since we've seen rain in the tampa bay area. mostly clear skies going to continue through tonight. tomorrow morning mild. breeze tow start off during the morning hours. then as we continue into the afternoon, we'll quickly heat up. a southeast early breeze will bring us from the low to mid-80s. plenty of sunshine all day long. friday, staying dry as well. partly cloudy, in the mid-60s during the morning hours.

afternoon, the low to mid-80s again. the mix of sun and clouds. warm for march. well above average there, but it stays dry. high pressure still keeping us dry. by saturday, we start to see some moisture increasing. the high gives way, and we bring in just a small chance of rain on saturday. but the chance is going up into sunday. average for this time of the year is 75. above average all the way into next week. and unfortunately until we see the rain, the pollen count is remaining high as well. so that's not great this time of year. not a whole lot of relief. until sunday, just expected to continue to stay high. mostly clear this evening, winds coming in out of the east to south east. a 10% chance of rain on saturday. mostly dry.

be a city person in a lot of young adults these days. a new study shows more and more of them staring in or moving to downtown areas nationwide, like right here in tampa. in a decade, the population of young adults living in downtown neighborhoods in tampa rose from 4,600 people to nearly 7,800. a 70% increase. >> experts are telling us the two most important things are sun and water. >> reporter: he tells us between those things combined with tampa's new and innovative jobs, young adults are moving near droves and spreading the word to others. >> once they see that this is a great place to live, they send the signals out to all of their friends in different parts of the country to come to tampa. >> reporter: and city leaders don't expect to see any letup with all the changes coming to downtown.

the democratic presidential hopefuls debate tonight in florida, and we'll be there live. hillary clinton has more than half the delegates she needs to win the democratic presidential nomination. but bernie sanders is hanging tough! a surprise win last night in michigan's primary. florida's presidential primary is march 15th. nancy regan is lying repose today and tomorrow ahead of her funeral friday. she will be buried at the regan library in simi valley, california, next to her husband. she died sunday at her home in los angeles. she was 94.

waiting period before they can officially vote on the budget on friday, not everyone is thrilled with where the education spending plan landed. per pupil spending will increase to $7,178 dollars. an increase of 1%. some lawmakers and the governor wanted more. >> i'm concerned we only got a 1% increase. but we also got some other funding, special technology for example. we got a significant increase in technology which is what superintendents want as well. i wouldn't say this is an exceptionally good year for the budget for public education. >> reporter: florida's governor proposed that some of the increased spending come from local property taxes. something that both the house and senate strongly disagreed with. >> per pupil will be the highest it's ever been.
