good evening everyone i'mrod carter. tonight there's a hulk hogan trial. he has won his lawsuit and he will receive $115 million. we do have a report tonight as we will have much more on this case coming up in just a few minutetes. also tonight two people are dead following a fiery plane crash. now there's a question about whether there was another plane that was involved. chip osowski is live on davis island. you spoke to one witness. what did they have to say about this? >> reporter: good evening to you, rod. two witnesses are now telling me that they heard a boom, looked across the way there, and they saw one aircraft taking off, another one on the ground in flames. when fire crews first responded the plane was engulfed in flames. authorities spent hours on the scene trying to piece together

examining the charred wreckage. . now they know that the plane that crashed was a twin-engine cessna with two souls on board. we're now learning it was a cecessna 340 like the one pictured herere equipped to carry a pilot and up to five passengers. they confirmed that the plane was taking off and bound fan airport in pence core -- and bound for an airport to pensacola. one witness described the horrifying scene. >> as soon as we got up to the stop sign we saw the plane go directly into the the ground and blew up into flames immediately. >> and you were with? >> my two sons brock and shane. the police. >> reporter: and authorities have not yet confirmed nor denied whether there was this crash. the ntsb and faa are currently investigating. it appears that they have left

names of those involved have not yet been released. reporting live in tampa i'm chip osowski news channel 8. >> all right, chip thanks. the bay area paused today to say good-bye to heros. they turned out to honor the deputy killed less than a week ago by a wrong-way driverer. news channel 8 mark douglas shows us the services that honored his life saving sacrifice. >> reporter: it was a bitterswsweet sound inside saint timothy's chchurch as they packed with fellow officers. the governor, the attorney general, and the mayor of tampa ththat paid tribute to john caphelia jr. >> i'm prproud and honored to call john a hero today. he earned it, he deserves it. but like a lot of the men and women in this room, he was not defined by one moment in time. >> reporter: gary herman thought of him as a son and said that the man that put his patrol car between a wrong-way

on trial. james lambert appeared in a pasco courtrtroom with his attorney on the side for the pre-trial hearing facing child abuse charges. this happened two years ago and the child's mother is growing very frustrated by all the delays. now a trial is set to begin. that'll take place on june 6. it can be hard to find a parking spot at st. armon circle, but they are considering building a parking garage and installing parking meters. to build a parking garage and it will be paid for in part by their parking meters as the garage will be built and the meters will be installed by december 2018. >> this place is beautiful and don't modernize it too much. >> the civic commissioners will vote on their project in the meeting that will take place on monday night and they are

just moments ago came back with a verdict awarding hulk hogan $115 million. now as you recall he sued gawker media for invasion of they announced the verdict in front of the court and essentially said that the media had violated their privacy, disclosed private facts, that hulk hogan did not authorize this video to be put out and they intended to cause extreme severe emotional distress. also they intentionally put the video out and it was an invasion of privacy. this has been going back and forth now with ten days with them saying that this is just news worthy and the short clip that they put on the internet did not constitute in evasion of privacy. it is indeed a celebrity and was fair game and that the small clip they put on of him having sex with bubba the love sponge ex-wife heather was in

air fest 2016 kicks off bright and early tomorrrrow morning and tonight ryan hughes explains what you can expect over the weekend. >> reporter: and good evening over the next two days, spectators will be able to walk inside air force planes like this one as air fest 201616 gets underway. >> reporter: from the coast guard planes to ththose dating back decades from those vintages that there is something fofor everyone at air fest 2016 at mcdill air foforce base. ththe annual event gives visitors a chance to get a rare look inside the planes that will insist are military in the most needed times, allowing people to watch them takeke to the skies at the intensnse speeds. >> the most exciting thing like this is the scene of the crowd. cheering for us, especially the young kids that they love the military and when they cheer

what do you do if you crave saususage in the middle of the night? well the butcher shop just installed the first machine devoted entirely to the meat in the city. yes, the vending machine as they could walk up and they could buy the pork sausage and ready made meals as they vested tens of thousands of dollars in this meat vending machine. as a result you'll pay about $0.30 more per item than you probably would by just walking inside. but there is convenience. nothing is cuter than the little beaver, except maybe three of them. these critters lost their homes during the flooding in texas about a week old.
