the tampa bay rays returned home tonight against the padres. drew smiley will be on the hill for rays facing a team he's never played before. could be good news for him though they've never seen him either. they're coming off two and four road swings. the rays home for ten straight games. and to boos and cheers alex rodriguez said good-bye to baseball in new york against espn is reporting that he will be a marlin after he clears waivers. a spokesperson for rodriguez said that he will not be playing for a team this season. saying he wanted to put the rue nors -- rumors to rest. he desperately wants to reach 700 home runs and he needs four more to do it.
