the mess? neighbors knew if they wanted answers they better call behnken. >> i'm jennifer leigh. >> i'm keith cate. we are keeping track of thunderstorms across the area. steve jerve joins us now with a look at the radar. >> nothing severe at this level keith. the storms are moving offshore, the stronger storms moved right over the downtown tampa area. all of pinellas county mostly. those thunderstorms offshore at the moment. the line is moving from east to west across the area. pretty good coverage and thousands of lightning strikes across the area. that is the higher intensity is what is moving offshore. i mentioned this was not at severe levels but it produced a lot of lightning. you can see the total amount of lightning strikes adding up to over a thousand in this short amount of time as it moving offshore.

now where do i go from here? school already started. >> reporter: freneta mason and her son are having the same thing. >> they have a sign, an affidavit stating maybe he will be bussed out to another school. >> reporter: the new school in davenport is 120 students over capacity. 8 on your side met with a spokesperson to get answers. >> we know any time you want to choose a school for your ch the one closest to your home or one you have heard really good things about, to not have the space for the child, that's tough. >> reporter: school administrators are trying to figure out what to do next. >> it becomes a juggling act again. many schools in the area also have a tremendous response. have lots of other needs. lots of other kids that want to go there. >> reporter: leaving parents

for the fourth week. >> reporter: we found out the superintendent will be meeting with other administrators on thursday to discuss what to do with all of these extra students. one of the ideas they are tossing around is adding portable classrooms. melissa marino, newschannel8. a new criminal charge today in a teacher tragedy. the man accused of driving drunk and crashing into two teachers was back in court after one of them died. bryce mccloud is now facing a dui manslaughter charge. it was up sign passed away. even authorities are angry about how it happened. >> listen, we are in 2016. there are too many other ways for you to get home. whether it is uber, taxicab, friend, family, something. but this is the end result. i want people to be aware of that. >> sign's boyfriend remains in the hospital tonight in

a librarian shot to death by a police officer is now in her final resting place. mary nouton was shot tuesday. many of her friends expressed how kind and inspirational she was. her own son says he even forgive it is man who killed her. >> there is no love without forgiveness and there is no forgiveness without love. that's what my mom she was about forgiving. i think we need to be about forgiving. >> officer cole is currently on administrative leave. fdle is investigating this case. their findings will not be available for another few weeks. right now, congress is reviewing an fbi report on the hillary clinton e-mail investigation. the report explains why the fbi recommended no criminal charges for clinton's use of a private server or handling of classified intelligence.

interviews soft clinton and other witnesses and clinton east aides want the notes released publicly. a new nbc news survey shows survey for clinton and trump. a large number of voters have an unfavorable impression of both of them. josh benson joins us with more on how they are doing. >> reporter: the numbers show clinton leading trump by nine points nationally. this while trump continues to say he gets the biggest crowds at all of his ra may be losing support among some key groups. hillary clinton went to philadelphia to whip up turnout. >> we are going after corporations and wall street so they pay their fair share. >> reporter: clinton's support is diverse. blacks, latinos, women, city, and suburban people rejecting the republican nominee. >> donald trump is doing well in rural america, but hillary clinton is cleaning his clock in urban and suburban america.

controversy got revived. the fbi today agreeing to turn over documents in the case to house republicans who charge she lied to congress. only 19% of republicans say trump is honest and trustworthy. just 12% of democrats say clinton is. on temperament, clinton gets 39% from democrats, trump, 19% from republicans. including many of the >> they are overwhelmingly supporting hillary clinton now, not donald trump. that is a group he ought to have that mitt romney did pretty well with that donald trump is not doing well with. >> reporter: trump headed to milwaukee to support police. here is trump on fox today. >> it is law and order. we have to obey the laws. >> reporter: senior republicans warn trump mostly reaching out to white working class voters

nikki hamblin fell. abby dagastino tripped over her and helped her to get up. when dagastino starts flagging with a knee injury, hamblin encourages her to keep going. the two embraced after the race. dagastino had to be taken off the race in a wheelchair. paige raley isli many without a medal. she finished 10th overall. >> it is not the end result she had hoped for, but she has her sights set on the next olympics. paul ryan has more. >> reporter: i know you wanted to medal but knows you will leave rio without a medal, are you disappointed at all? >> no, i would be lying if i said i wasn't disappointed. i was pretty gutted the other

>> the thunderstorms were strong at i-4. they were briefly very intense, but not at severe levels. at clearwater beach, you can see picked up half an inch of rain in a short amount of time. 79 degrees right now. we have a north wind at 2 miles an hour. basically overcast. much, much cooler. there came the storm as it rolled across the area. looked really nice there for a while. we added that up cloudy skies. you can see the celsius temperatures there. 90 degrees, without the showers and storms in the forecast. temperatures will be hot much like here. it is winter down there as it is summer up here in the northern hemisphere. we have another space station flyover. if you are lucky enough to find some clear patches, visible for

reaching a max height of 17 degrees. 8:42 for four minutes in the northern sky if they are clear enough. radar continues to show a clump of thunderstorms. quite a bit of lightning. a thousand strikes or more in a short amount of time. that is mostly clearing the area. leftover light rain all the way down to reddington. and polk pretty quiet. a few thunderstorms south of frost proof. folks in fort meade may catch some of this eventually. and kissimmee, there's rain too. 9:00 p.m. 82 degrees. most of the shower activity should be over by the late evening. can't rule it out up until midnight. but generally, most of the activity will be early evening. to start the day, 79 degrees. rain-cooled air. isn't it nice in 79 degrees temple terrace. brandon, 77.

80 in inverness. everything has been going from east to west the past couple of days. overwhelming the west coast sea breeze. probably blew up thanks to a small effort from the west coast sea breeze. a collision area. in the tropics we talked about this area yesterday. it is a tropical wave, a strong one. a 90% chance of development. right now, not very optimistic for any growth long term. should likely stay out at sea. most of the computer models here. that's the center of the tropical wave, a lot of dry air in its path. that and other reasons we think it may not just survive. there is another one coming off of africa, this one has more potential long term. but again, a lot of dry air out in the eastern atlantic. that is always a problem for the storms to gain strength. you see the evening, early evening hours, a few showers possible, later evening things quiet down. tomorrow, a 40% chance of showers and storms like today.

>> just imagine living here looking out every day at something like this and ... deterioration of property value going down fast. >> reporter: residents along west winds drive in palm harbor are at the end of their ropes. they want this abandoned home fixed up or demolished. >> i see rats and animals climbing in and out. and sometimes, kids that are hopping the nc >> reporter: this house has been empty for five years and now, it is falling apart. >> and i keep calling the county and getting the run around. >> reporter: pinellas county put up this safety fence about a year ago. but then, nothing. >> i think it is unrepairable. they should demolish it. if they want to build something else, that would be wonderful. >> reporter: the hoa had no luck tracking down the property

and i found homeowner bonnie post. and shared her old neighbor's concerns. >> they are really upset they have to live beside that every day. >> yes. i know. and so, they were supposed to have that torn down. >> reporter: post explains she signed over rights a year ago so the county could tear down the house. >> i just assume that they would take responsibility for tearing the property down like they said they would. >> you think it is up to the county? it is their >> i think that they took control of the situation and they told me no longer to enter the property. >> reporter: i just heard back from a county spokesman and he explains that the county is willing and ready to tear down the house. because it is in foreclosure, bank of america must sign off on the demolition and the bank has not given the county permission. >> so, bonnie, she signed her rights away, but why did she abandon the house in the first
