rob carter, news channel 8. two people aboard a plane got to take a ride in a coast guard helicopter. they were rescued from the plane about 23 miles west of fort lauderdale. you can see the pilot and passenger being hoisted up? a chopper in a basket. the guard took them to a nearby air station where medical workers checked them out and found no injuries. a valve convenience store worker tried to stop a thief while locking the . items into the air. she spent ten minutes trashing the store until the clerk unlocked the door and let her go. jacksonville police continue to search for that woman tonight. if you're headed to the beach, watch out for sting rays. beach goers are being warned to be careful when they step in the water. purple flags have been raised to let people know there's

then it breezes inland as the day goes along. that's the trend we're carrying in for the weekend. over all, the rain chances are a little bit lower this weekend. despite that movement of those showers inland. 85 degrees for the evening. a few scattered thunderstorms the next three days. temperatures near 91 degrees for saturday. 90 degrees for sunday. and the rain chances as i mentioned are a little lower through monday. by tuesday, they tend to jump back around 40%. seasonal near 90 degrees. but we might see a few morning showers and we're in that pattern for a brief period of time. until wednesday. then we get back into a northeasterly breeze. >> time to find water for the weekend. >> jump into it, whether it be a pool, the lake, or the gulf. >> the gulf, sting ray shuffle though. >> good advice. especially for children you know. so tragic. >> stop. you're so mean.
