infected in pinellas county. and as mary mcguire shows us, state officials are working to find out where the person contracted the illness. >> reporter: officials are not telling us where that person living in pinellas county, only that a person here in pinellas county does have the zika virus and they didn't contract it by traveling to any known hot zones including miami. it is the news we never hope to hear. the zika virus in our own backyards. governor rick scott revealed the latest case of nontravel related zika in pinellas county. >> we only have two areas we believe have local transmission. >> reporter: the question remains where did that person contract the virus? at this point, we don't know that it happened in pinellas county. efforts now shifting to find out the answer to that question. >> we need to start doing strategic testing with the family, where the individual worked. all those things. >> reporter: the governor insists there are only two known direct transmission zones

police are hoping surveillance video from a 7/11 will help them catch a carjackerment sunday morning moments after this video was shot, he carjacked an employee at the nearby bone fish grill. and then crashed her car. the family of a young bicyclist is mourning his death tonight. he died on a busy stretch in tampa and melanie michael talked with concerned parents who live near this dangerous spot. >> reporter: the video tells a hi a young man is protected by a sheet. at a grisly crash scene. the life of 21-year-old james hope came to an end on the side of the road lodged under a car. his bicycle nearly a block away. >> it is pretty bad here. there are a lot of accidents here. >> reporter: the bicyclist killed veered into oncoming traffic and was ejected into the air after being hit by an

but it is raining in lakeland auto mall. that is good news. southeast wind at 5 miles an hour. temperatures have dropped. nearby showers and thunderstorms, you can see they continue to drift to the southwest here. mostly around the bradenton area. thunderstorms continue to drift in that general direction. and also, inland. you can see the thunderstorms that are occurring as you just saw in the southern portion of lakeland. and pushing toward the mulberry area south of i-4. another area looking like it is moving to dade city. pasco county. might end up in wesley chapel and this line of thunderstorms you are looking at might end up in the tampa area as well. a lot of lightning. the strong thunderstorms with strong wind gusts moving across south pinellas county. that weakened at this point. there's a lot of activity out there. we will talk about the forecast, the tropics coming i. still ahead. >> thousands expected to pack in here tomorrow at the florida
