car. peter, tell us and bring us up to speed on what we know. >> reporter: jen, this is the piper's meadow subdivision and the call came through at 4:30 afternoon and apparently from what we could gather, the father left his boy in the back of a chevy silverado, and we shot video, pictures a little while ago and obviously, a distraught man who we believe is the boy's father in the front yard and apparently left his kid in the truck and realize that does later. perform cpr on the little boy, and apparently, he didn't make it. one of those performing cpr is a retired sheriffs deputy. the boy didn't make it. he soon was to turn 2 years old. in the back of a pickup is a washington machine or a drier -- dryer. my iphone showed the temperature at 5:00 was 87 degrees and that was the outside air temperature and you can imagine the temperature in
