polls being as accurate as a lot of people would like you to believe. i go back to brexit. donald trump may be the brexit of this election. we will see. his ability to talk about the economy, the military. with all of the military is powerful for people to look at. these two people on the stage, which one is going to be the best for the economy and the military and which one is going to secure our country whether it is secure in that southern border or the other areas of the country from the standpoint of people want to know they are safe in their communities and overwhelmingly on those issues, donald trump will carry the day. >> all the other issues that dogged him. the sexual allegations. claiming the election is

are those a distraction? you have been on the debate stage. how important is it to overcome the urge to blurt out what may be on the tip of your tongue? >> i think the fox commentators will do a good job tonight staying focused on the issues important to americans which brings me to i don't think that the journalism environment out there is very pure right now. these e-mails that show there is clear collusion between some major journalists and the clinton campaign? i think it is devastating. i mean, if i'm a young person looking to go into journalism or thinking about the ethics and the professionalism of journalism and seeing that? i just think that there is going to be a period of time that american journalism is going to have to spend earning the respect of the american

newschannel8. back to you guys. >> all right, thank you keith. great interview. in the meantime, this afternoon, an inmate took a polk county corrections officer hostage and drove him on a wild ride across the bay area. the officer is okay. the inmate is back in custody. as jeff patterson shows us, that inmate is now facing a long list of new charges. >> reporter: bartow police and polk county sheriff's deputies pinellas counties were on scene quickly when ey rexroad had been taken hostage by a prison inmate on a work debail. sam lives just across the street and knew something was wrong. >> undercover and police cars coming from everywhere. >> reporter: bartow police tell us inmate david ross used a utility knife to overpower rexroad and took him to hang.

room they were locked in and flag down a motorist. >> reporter: police tracked ross to saint petersburg where he was driving a stolen bartow city truck. somehow, the guard managed to escape at a gas station, and police took ross into custody. after a brief foot chase. >> thank god they got the %-?de and, he is fine. >> reporter: ross is now facing a new long list of charges on a much longer prison sentence. jeff patterson, newschannel8. a former bay area teacher who admitted having sex woman. stephanie ragusa walked out of prison today. jamel lanee shows us where she is now staying as she tries to get her life back on track. >> reporter: after spending about six years in prison, stephanie ragusa is out. she will stay here at the continental inn in clearwater. a place for offenders getting back in society. >> we are here to help her

>> reporter: jim broderick runs several transitional homes. he spoke with ragusa and her family prior to her release. >> she is overwhelmed now for sure. she is worried about many things. >> reporter: ragusa's story made national headlines. the former davison middle schoolteacher had two students in 20 reporting in pinellas county, jamel lanee, newschannel8. >> well, she stirred up anger from trump supporters earlier this week at amalie arena. now, amy schumer has a few more words for tampa bay. >> dearest tampa ... , i'm sorry you didn't want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in to mention the biggest thing going on.

gained 40 points. the nasdaq gained two points. t-mobile will have to pay a steep fine for telling customers their data was unlimited when it was not. they reduced speeds for customers who used a lot of data, but didn't tell them how much usage would trigger the slower speeds. t-mobile has agreed to pay a $48 million fine. much of that will go future discounts for those affected customers. if your flight arrives on time, but your luggage is seriously delayed, the airlines need to pay up according to the transportation department. they want the airlines to refund the baggage fees if the luggage is seriously delayed. if you have been holding out to buy a new computer, the wait could almost be over.

you can see the drop off in high temperatures, but, as you can imagine, if we rending up with high temperatures in the 780s and 80s . saturday and sunday, in the 40s and the 50s . that will allow temperatures in some of the northern spots to fall near 50 degrees for a low. especially sunday, monday morningment very cool mornings ahead. a clear peninsula mostly. we east coast. i'm showing you the spaghetti models. you can see how they move it to the north. it should not affect us. it could develop into otto. easterly flow. shower activity. probably the better chance is the 10% chance in some of the inland areas as indicated here on our computer model. places like haylands county.
