congo river rapids ride at busch gardens closed. >> they're just playing it safe. it seems a bit overcautious. >> reporter: eagle 8 flew over after hours. it's a popular cooloff spot on hot days and is often used to train first responders in water issues. the accident happened at dream world in queensland. two men and two women died on the their mom was trapped under. >> reporter: rescue workers came upon a gruesome scene with two riders ejected from their raft and two others caught in a conveyor. busch gardens explained they closed congo river rapids while it worked with other park operators and ridemakers to understand what happened in australia. the statement said all ride are inspected daily. congo river fans tell me they understand why it's closed. >> in lieu of that they should take extra precautions to

it's safe so when people get on it, they feel comfortable. >> reporter: no word when congo river will flow again. >> it was my first time here, so i was a little disappointed, but overall it was great. >> reporter: on the congo ride in australia riders move at a speed about 30 miles an hour top speed at times, but it appears this accident happened at a conveyor place where it was going much slower. rescue workers commented that the injuries were not survivable. >> peter, you were showing us e there. i'm guessing they'll be able to learn maybe a little bit more about what happened by looking at this video you think? >> reporter: yeah, exactly, keith. they're going over that video right now. it's closed circuit tv is what they call it in australia. they hope to get a finger on exactly how this happened. you saw one of the rafts on its side. they're trying to get a handle on it. >> thank you, peter bernard live in tampa. a bay area little league is getting by with the help of the

the cause of a condo fire in tampa is still under investigation. these are photos from hillsboro fire and rescue showing damage at river oaks condominiums. no one was hurt. all right. here is your dose of cuteness tonight. it might look like a bunch of puppies at the airport. these aren't just any puppies. these are the southeastern good dogs in training at pete/clearwater airport. they are getting socialization to help them glow up to be guide dogs and -- grow up to be guide dogs and the teen-agers taking part are learning a job to. >> my job is to expose the puppies to the environment so the guide dogs are not afraid of anything. it's really fun to bring your dog everywhere with you and i love to tell people about this great organization and what they do. >> once the puppies are done with this level of training

part of pasco county, 68 degrees, not much breeze for the flag at the moment. the easterly wind is in place. great shot from sidney mcguire and a gorgeous sky tonight. we had quite a few photos we shared on our facebook page. this is lake alfred tonight. the average high this time of year is 82 degrees. so these temps are pretty close normal, 84 the high today and 66 degrees right at the month of october on average. as for rainfall about 1 1/2 inches of rain, that's a little bit below normal. keep in mind this is the dry season october and especially notice of, one of the dryest months of the year. humidity -- november, one of the dryest months of the year. humidity will return, in the not too bad category, perhaps a little bit better than that, generally dew points pretty time in this time of year. they're a little bit high.
