paul mueller joins us live from the scene. do they know yet, how did this fire start? >> reporter: that is a big question. investigators are trying to figure out right now. check it out. this is an act i scene now. sarasota county firefighters are here as well as the fire marshal. now, they are boarding up the house, they are trying to figure out what sparked those deadly flames. the call came in here on suga afternoon. dozensover firefighters rushing to the scene. the house up in flames. the fire getting bigger by the minute. when they got here, firefighters had in idea. three people were inside, then the shocking discovery. two people dead. the three were mother, father, and son. the son they say was the one taken to the hospital. the fire chief calling the rescue difficult. saying they had a hard time getting him out of the house.

get him out because of his size. many on this quiet street say the three were quiet, kept to themselves and didn't come outside very often. now, they are just left in a state of disbelief. how could this happen? >> i pray for them. i feel sorry. it is a sad situation. >> i don't know what to think. that i'm just ... my heart hurts for whoever just went through that situation. >> reporter: now, many were working in the area this morning. one power line was down. a transformer had blown. the next door neighbor said his surge protecter blew up in his house. at this point, they are looking into any possibility. anything, that may have caused his fire. live in sarasota, i'm paul mueller, newschannel8. >> the presidential candidates are on the campaign trail tonight as you would expect. more than 4,000 people packed

in australia. chip osowski spoke with some visitors who have still a little reluctant to ride. >> reporter: eagle 8 hd flew over busch guardings when congo river rapids was back open. the ride remained closed for only one day. the park issuing a statement saying "out of an abundance of caution, busch gardens tampa bay closed congo river rapids to make a thorough review of our operating and redundant safety procedures in place as safety, that review has been completed and the ride will reopen today. donna gear and arlene greer are visiting from cincinnati. they planned a visit to the park, but they don't plan ha trip down the congo river. >> it is a very big concern. it is actually scary. they really need to check them out. you never know if they are working properly.

manufacturerred by the same company that manufacturerred that ride in australia. in tampa, i'm chip osowski, newschannel8. a study done by researchers at usf show police who wear body cameras are likely to use less force than those officers who don't. tampa's police department participated in the study. right now, only 60 officers have the body cameras and the department applied for a grant because it is going to cost around$8 the footage. the oakland raiders are in the wrong bay area this week. they are calling tampa bay their home this week as they prepare to face the bucs on sunday. the team is staying in sarasota and practicing at the academy in bradenton. they just played jacksonville this week. so instead of flying back to california, they decided to stay put. >> i love it, man. the weather is nice. it is no state tax here.

newschannel8. now storm team 8 forecast with meteorologist steve jerve. >> we brought back moisture the last couple of days. that doesn't -- we would see it. again, the rain is going to hold off here in the eight day forecast. you will see things realtively dry. losing the light here in venice, these days are getting shorter. got a little bank of clouds here. more clouds expected tomorrow. especially southern areas. so places like venice could see a few more. debra hughes got a great shot just minutes ago. just captured this at sunset. you can see a few clouds there. just like the last couple of mornings and also, sunsets, we are seeing a beautiful color in the sky. temperatures mid 80s all the way through this period. normal high, 82 degrees. so with the easterly flow, we will pick up a bit more moisture. it will feel a little warmer each day.

shows mostly cloudy skies. sprinkles across south florida. tomorrow, we will likely see a few more clouds lift from south to north. but, this evening kind of breezy at times. lighter winds as we head toward midnight. then picking up a few clouds as they move across the sky. a surge of moisture to the south. you will see the clouds picking up in the afternoon. northern areas, probably a better chance of more sunshine. as the day progresses into the evening hours, a few more clouds pass cloudy skiesful more sunshine. we had 86 for a high. rain chances are low the next several days. thursday, friday, saturday. halloween, too, coming up monday. temperatures about that same level there. mid 80s . and, the overnight low temperatures in the upper 60s . it reflect it is higher months of moisture in the atmosphere. and that just means we are not going to expect much in the way of shower activity. we are in the dry season. so it is not that surprising.
