everybody who has a dog calls their dog their hero, right? help us through tough times or just been through giving us unconditional love. but these dogs featured go above and beyond, they literally have saved lives. i brought some of my friends with me today. >> who do you have first? >> the handsome kobuck and his person elizabeth. he literally saved the life of an elderly woman. >> yes, so exciting for us, the moment that kobuck located her because it was critical she was found that day. we were going on the third day a search in maine for a missing person's case. >> an old woman with alzheimer's and also diabetes. it was a wonderful reunion with

a couple years ago, we had an individual contact us about where they could purchase one. and then the price was more than they could afford on their income. so we said well let's see what we can do. we started collecting funds. now we've done 235 chairs. >> hi, little one. >> that's fantastic. >> who do we have next? >> we have laka. isn't she a beauty. she has three legs. this is her wonderful person. she was on the le story. >> yeah, after, you know, we pulled up to an enemy compound. we received direct small arms fire from the compound. after dropping two hellfire missiles on the compound, we got the go ahead to put her in, heavy assault force. she went in to clear for known enemy combatants. that's when she found one enemy combatant. upon apprehending him, she got shot four times saving my life and the team's life that was inside the room at the time.

you know, active. i still put on the bite suit. she still gets bites. i still put some odor out there so she can find some bombs. she's 6 years old -- >> you ended up adopting her. >> of course you did. >> let's go to our winner at the end. >> that's my friend zach. he has a magnificent pooch named hooch. now, hooch's story is remarkable. go ahead, zach. >> yeah, we rescued hooch from county animal services three years ago. we quickly discovered his tongue had been cut out, his ears had been cut off. it was a real difficult journey how to figure out how to feed him, how to keep him alive. he couldn't drink, he couldn't eat. >> how many pounds is he? >> he's 93 pounds. he's a big french mastiff. doesn't look like that with no ears. since then, you know, we've developed him into a certified therapy dog. he travels with us, educating
