eight days until election day and fallout continues over another clinton email probe and just an hour away from mike pence speaking in the bay area. a radio call summoned officials to a grisly see. a woman killed, a deputy hurt and a driver on the run. and mail delivered to the wrong place or sometimes not at all. frustrated residents knew they better call behnken for answers. i'm jennifer leigh. >> i'm keith cate and thanks for joining us tonight. fallout continues for hillary clinton's campaign after the fbi's decision friday to re- examine some emails connected to clinton's private email server. the fbi director is not talking about it publicly but plenty of people are speaking out. national correspondent mark meredith joins us live from washington tonight and the white house has to walk a fine line with this one.>> reporter: keith they are because it was president obama who appointed the fbi director a few years ago and how close the fbi has to work with doj and the white house to get other work accomplished but as even talking about politicians in washington of voters all over

terms with what the latest review of emails means. eight days to go between now and election day. fbi director is not speaking publicly and hasn't added any other remarks at this point but that's not stopping people from believing there are hundreds of thousands of emails that need to be reviewed tied to clinton's top it huma abedin. dfd it is back the fbi decision is being panned by democrats and celebrated by republicans. josh earnest is weighing in and here's a brief clip of what he said at today's briefing. >> i will neither defend or criticize what director james comey has decided to communicate to the public about this investigation. >> reporter: while the white house is trying to stay as independent as possible donald trump is pouncing on the fbi's decision. he was speaking during a rally

fbi director had guts to move the investigation back into the spotlight especially with so much pressure on the fbi and election being so close. hillary clinton spoke at a rally in ohio, a state she wants to win but is trailing trump in the polls. she still wants the emails to come out and wants a full review and was welcoming more information from the fbi. >> and pushing back over the fbi new both camps strategize and shift with eight days to go. >> reporter: it's unbelievable in terms of what you have to do for a campaign in normal circumstances this close to election day. donald trump added a rally tomorrow in king of prussia, pennsylvania, a state where democrats were leading and he will speak with governor pence and focus on healthcare.

for the 6:00 appearance. mike pence will address the latest hillary clinton email scandal when he steps to the podium. he believes the gop ticket has a lot of momentum as we come up on one week to the election. interest in the race is high and people arrived early to make sure the data spot inside the aircraft hangar. >> he's not a liar like her and not involved in corruption like her. the tentacles on her go far and wide and it has to an display ready for hats, t- shirts and buttons and if you want to make america great again hat it's here. his visit comes after a weekend of controversy surrounding the fbi director and the announcements there may be hundreds of thousands of emails pertinent to the scandal involving hillary clinton. people lined up to see mike pence are convinced the ticket will turn it around. >> he supports everything i believe in. >> reporter: like what? >> anti-abortion for one. i'm a christian. he's very strong on veterans and i'm a veteran.

the driver left the tampa woman dead and severely injured a deputy. melissa marino joins us live from the hospital where the deputy is an a long road ahead for him. >> reporter: we are told he has not been able to speak with investigators yet. we have the radio transmission that one out that frantic night. take a listen. a frantic call. scene. >> they were expecting to see a deputy standing there and a person who needed an ambulance. >> reporter: instead they found two people left four dead early saturday morning on state road 60 just east of lake wales. jessica enchautegui-otero hit a tree and got out of the car and over to the median to flag someone down. deputy adam pennell saw her on the way to a call. >> he stopped and turned on his emergency lights. >> reporter: will calling for help another driver plowed into the median and slammed into

70s in clearwater beach. 84 brooksville, arcadia 87 so generally the 80s. as we mention with the persistent easterly flow still gusting in some areas near 20 miles per hour and over 20 and bartow. some of the inland areas of breezier. the reds stuff is high air on the water po settling across the state of florida and areas to the north. some mixes to the surface and if you are inland like winterhaven or frostproof you feel slightly drier air and lower humidity. most of the precipitation you see across the southern portion of the state or the florida straits, a few showers south of key west. we stay in this easterly flow and move a few clouds across the state and with the dry air above mostly clear conditions.

>> reporter: late mail and missing packages. residents are fed up and in four weeks they got mail in the dark and are dealing with missing packages or once delivered to the wrong address and that's when they knew the better call behnken. shannon behnken joins me now and even in this age of technology people still rely on mail. >> they do and everybody wants their mail in a mailbox in the residents want an explanation as to what went wrong. >> it's not fair and we are a small community but we deserve attention and service. >> reporter: nancy checks her mailbox several times a day. >> we have gotten days where we got no mail at all. we have several weeks of getting mail at 9:30 your 10:00 at night. >> reporter: four weeks packages went missing or were delivered to the wrong house. one resident got a shock when a box of adult toys mistakenly showed up at his house. do you feel like your concerns are being taken seriously by the postal service? >> not at all. >> reporter: she called it on

came in the daylight and the package delivery is still inconsistent. i found this letter at the post office informing residents of modifications and delivery operations. the letter reads it will in no way impact delivery or retail service. so i called the regional spokeswoman for the post office. the mail has been coming extremely late. she emailed me the statement. due to the growth and gibsonton we made operational changes that will ultimately result in more efficient delivery and added customer conveniences. we apologize to our customers for any inconvenience and ask customers to contact the postmaster with any mail concerned so they can be resolved quickly. as for nancy she is happy there is progress and hopeful there will be more. >> we are important. we are just as important as larger tampa city areas. we deserve the service just like anyone
