four beers before driving. bar manager admits he was there drinking. >> when the detectives came in high d and showed me his picture i was shocked. i would have never guessed it. i never seen him drunk. >> reporter: lewis claim his didn't know what he hit. he later admitted to investigators he knew he was involved in the hit-and-run before he was arrested yet he didn't stop and he didn't turn himself in. >> even if it was just a trash can okay. it was human lives. >> reporter: the deputy is expected to be here in the hospital for quite some time. a viewing will be held tonight for jessica. her funeral will be tomorrow. >> i understand jessica's family had a message for the deputy. >> reporter: absolutely. they are praying for him and his recovery. they look forward to meeting him to thank him for helping her. >> melissa moreno live in polk

color. if it is green that means go. wait times are zero to 15 minutes. yellow 15 to 60 minutes. red more than an hour. >> what we are seeing the last couple days is it has been building starting before lunchtime and on through the afternoon. we have not had a lot of wait at all. >> reporter: hillsborough supervisor of elections tells me once you avoid those delays avoid others by bringing the right things with you to the polls like the gh that includes one with your signature and a photo like a florida driver's license or an i.d. card. early voting is a big hit among hillsborough voters. 180,000 people already voted. >> people are taking advantage of voting before election day. which is great. we want people spread out across all three method of voting. >> reporter: if you are mailing in a ballot and haven't done so the supervisor suggests maybe
