driver explains the wrong turn. >> plus winter blast, the areas getting pummeled by snow and how chilly we will get this weekend. good evening. i'm jennifer leigh. >> i'm keith cate. thank you for joining us. it is the video that got a deputy fired. peter bernard is live on the night beat. peter, this pinellas county deputy says one thing about the arrest. the video shows something else. what's going on? >> reporter: the cameras out here don't lie, keith, it happened ba deputy wayne wagner pulled over a pickup truck. he works with the dui unit. his report ended up being one big lie that cost him his job. >> get on the ground now! >> reporter: dashcam video and video from the mobile station security camera shows deputy wayne wagner in a struggle with page taylor. >> you're not in a fight, officer. >> reporter: look at how it started. taylor takes her license from

deputy wagner wrote taylor shoved him. >> as the video clearly shows that taylor did not touch deputy wagner at all. >> reporter: and later with other deputies on the scene deputy wagner recounts his version of what happened. the problem sits a lie. >> it's clear unfortunately that deputy wagner lied and didn't tell the truth about what happened out there and that he used unnecessary force. >> what really saved the issue in this matter was the video and ultimately >> reporter: taylor's attorney tells me she's never been in trouble with the law. >> she is very pleased at the result. this is still difficult for her. she did sustain injuries in this matter and this is something that she still holds concern, still gets nervous around law enforcement. >> reporter: the sheriff says this kind of incident is hurtful and frustrating. >> everybody, especially a deputy sheriff has to old it the truth. if you don't -- has to tell the truth. if you don't tell the truth, you don't work here.

behind. the driver told police he accidentally hit the gas pedal while trying to park. if you combine exploding propane tanks and wooden pallets, you get this, flames tearing through a 2-acre compound in california. this fire forced authorities to shut down a nearby expressway. fortunately no one was hurt. the cause is under investigation. new tonight workers in santa clara, california, were soaking in more than the sun today. you can see larg that services jet engines. apparently the fire suppression system malfunctioned. i'll say. fortunately nobody was hurt. fire and ice, thousands are dealing with wildfires burning across the south while others are preparing for blizzard conditions. this large brushfire is responsible for a lot of damage in hickman county, tennessee. multiple agencies are battling the flames but still don't have control. right now some spots are still smoldering.

i don't know, so to the highlights we go and this regional semifinals where you win or go home, the cheerleaders weren't the only ones ready to prove just how rowdy they could be. the 1st quarter was filled with great defensive stops and ended with the score knotted at 0-0. so like my home boy shakespeare once said it was much to do about nothing, but then in the 3rd quarter after the dread knots held the field goal, they find the wide open willy baker candlestickmaker 80 yards later and whoa, he's gone and the ensuing kickoff dread knot hungry for the ball and west scoops up the panthers fumble and breaks north all the way to the house to put the dread knots up 14-3, but in the 4th quarter it goes around the right side to i go the panthers
