painful to be alive. and nobody had an answer. >> were there times when you thought about that? >> absolutely. i said there has to be an answer. this is not living. >> cortisone treatments led to hair loss, a shock to this woman whose big hair was once copied by stylists everywhere. >> it's not my hair. it's a wig. this is a wig. because my hair fell out. >> linda has been pain free for a year now after a laser procedure, and her hair will grow back. >> it's going to take me a couple years to grow my hair back, but in the meantime, i just feel fine. it's okay. thank god. they have these things for us. so, if we can just have some compassion with each other and the journey that we go through, and to actually support people in those times, and not try to hide, the hiding is the part that's off, like we're ashamed of something.
