wear green. there will be plenty of parties at schools and you will be celebrating after work or maybe even before work. we see green on the tops of buildings. and i love the colors -- the color green because there are so many different shades. we are not seeing any green on the radar thankfully. the fog and visibility is also improving. winds are fairly calm. temperatures mild and muggy with low 70s at the beach and upper 60s inland. today upper 80s so stay hydrated. there could be a shower but mainly dry. better chance of wet weather this weekend coming up.

good morning. my seatbelt is green today. things are looking good on the roads. 95 southbound there are no accidents or pressure to get downtown. the early birds are enjoying the ride. the palmetto no issues there either. in broward county a great ride. we are following a developing story. a car slams into a restaurant overnight in oakland park. >> debbie fleshman is live at the scene.

shaken up and banged up. he said he was sitting inside the restaurant with his fiancie waiting for their pizza when a car slammed straight through the front of the storefront. this is downtown pizza grill on a strip mall off cypress creek road. we have some video where you can see the damage from the crash. the entire front of the store was ruined and the pizza counter was knocked to the ground. the victim said he and his fiancie were sitting on the stools inside waiting for their food and there were several employees and one other customer inside when the driver of the suv who appeared to be an ical and curlers lost control of her car. he tried to push his fiancie out of the way and that he ended up getting pinned against the pizza counter and employees had to dry can out and wait for the fire rescue to get there. he was transported to the hospital and was banged up. he was bandaged and released

and was also released from the hospital. both are expected to be okay. >> my fiancie and i were ordering some food and all i see is this blue-collar or whatever make a sharp turn and all i heard was an engine revved up and plowed right through the glass. i pushed my fiancie out of the way and i took the full force of the car and pinned me up against the counter. >> reporter: the restaurant is shuttered and will remain closed until they can make repairs. there was a third customer in the shop who was injured and she was knocked unconscious but by the time the fire rescue arrived she had left the restaurant. she's hoping she's doing okay. he and his fiancie were shaken up. they feel lucky to be alive.

mr. ramirez was caught on cell phone video striking bruce leclair at a bus terminal last year. he claimed ramirez would not let him go to the bathroom and then pushed into the ground. ramirez took the stand and testified he wanted to help clear but the men came at him. >> it was a second time he showed aggression toward me. he turned on me and i had to take action. >> ramirez suspended with pay well internal affairs investigates. a broward county homages cold teacher is out of a job. when singleton was fired by the school board after a mr. to say she was drunk in her first grade classroom at one states elementary pastor. she let the children go to the bathroom alone and one of the kids got hurt. she was hired by the district in 1996 and has twice been convicted of driving under the influence.

a texas police officer is facing murder charges for allegedly pursuing and killing a teenager while off duty. the incident began when the officer suspected the teenager had broken into a car. >> brian webb has the latest. >> reporter: friends and family of jose crews cheered and released balloons following the arrest of farmers branch officer ken johnson wednesday night. the mother of the 16-year-old he start with killing broke down in tears. >> he's got straight from the fact he's been arrested and charged >> there's going to be justice for him. >> reporter: johnson was off duty sunday when he says he spotted ted cruz -- another teenager back into the car at the parking complex. the officer chased them down in his personal vehicle eventually shooting both edgar bica station an altercation caught on camera. all events the police chief

i just spoke with one of the victims who was taken to the hospital after this car slammed into the restaurant. he was actually with his fiancie waiting for their food when he saw the car go right through the front entrance. this is the downtown pizza grill off of cypress creek road and ne. 9th avenue. we have video. even the pizza counter was knocked to the ground. the victim i spoke with was bandaged at the hospital and released. his fiancie also had to get stitches and staples and was also released from the hospital. both of them are expected to be okay. they had just ordered food and were sitting on some stools inside the restaurant when the driver of the suv who appeared to be a night out and curlers lost control of the car. he tried to push his fiancie out of the way and ended up getting pinned against the pizza

davie police say miramar officer who lived in the town shot and killed a suspected burglar trying to get into his house. it unfolded wednesday morning. the suspected burglar broke a window in the officer's home and tried to get inside. the president of the officer was home with his young niece and felt threatened. investigators say ms. before the shooting a burglar tried to get into pat goodson's home but a floodlight and security system and a lock screen door prevented it. goodson, look at the man. >> he looked like a normal good- looking kid. clean-cut nice clothes. he did not look like a criminal to me. it looked like a nice kid. >> officer has been on the force since 2005 and has never shot anyone in the line of
