really not a good adjective to describe this whole thing. the way i would describe it it is's -- his surreal. the room is so quiet small and you are sitting with the family members. it is hard to describe. it is so quiet you could hear the ac window unit going over my shoulder. we were inside the prison for quite some time. we knew that the supreme court was going to take up these two last-minute appeals. they started to take a look at those at 6:00. we knew we could be waiting for some time and we were. about 9:50, the department of corrections told us to get ready. we were transported at that time by van over to the death chamber. by 10:00 we were seated and by 10:04 the curtain came up. i could see a number of family members who have -- who had spoken with us in the past,

the front row right in front of oscar ray bolin. she had to be brought in and taken out in a wheelchair because of her immobility. really no expression on her face as this all happened. also, we did see donna and john witmer, stephanie collins parents. her brothers, michael and sean, i spoke with michael last night. he said all he wanted to do was sit in the room and looked bolin in the eyes. that did not happen. bolin as he laid there, all he did was stare at a hole in the ceiling, did not break his gaze and did not have any final words. they asked him if he had a statement, he said no, sir. by 10:16, he was pronounced dead.
