world with no father. >> reporter: saffi wasted no tile grabbing a pistol and firing a shot in the suspect's head. onlookers had no hesitation to praise the clerk. >> you don't need to deal with this garbage where people are coming in and want to take your life. >> reporter: the store has a history of violence with 3 shootings in the last 2 years. but today, customers feel there was some justice. >> i say god gave us one for the good guys. >> reporter: we can tell you police have taken a look at the surveillance video from that store and spoken to the lone witness who was also a customer if the store at the time of the shooting to confirm clerk's story. we haven't confirmed that police have corroborated the witness' story with the clerk. the suspect is still in critical condition -- at a local hot.
