right now we are still waiting on word from ten u.s. sailors being held in iran. the defense department telling us that the sailors were taken into custody when their small vessel strayed into iranian waters. we are being told that iran is promising to release them sometime on wednesday. and just into the newsroom, now police in central florida telling us they have arrested a man that hit a 3-year-old boy and drove off. investigators say that 35-year- old billy gibson surrendered tonight. detectives say that 3-year-old and his older brother were crossing the street to buy some ice cream when the younger boy was hit. he will recover. police say gibson was driving on a suspended license. police say that too many bikers and walkers are dying in the bay area so they are now taking action. new numbers show 2015 is the deadliest year on record on st. pete road. so officers are stepping up efforts to educate people.

no rain but as i said clouds are definitely going to be warming things up at least compared to this time yesterday. right now we are at 51 in spring hill and 50 in wesley chapel and yesterday in the mid- 30s from brookville to spring hill. outside right now tampa 52 degrees under partly cloudy skies and clear water and st. pete in the mid-50s and skies are clear. earlier today. we hit 67 degrees. only three degrees shy of the normal high of 70. this morning dropped down to 45. records are 83. and 24. so here is what you are going to be waking up to. temperatures in the low to mid- 40s across most of the metro area. upper 30s to low 40s across the northern county. officially there is that frost advisory but as long as that cloud cover is out there, it seems unlikely that we will have too much to worry about. it will still be chilly and you will have to bundle up the kids.
