u.s. coast guard said that two marine helicopters collided off the hawaii coast. the choppers went down right before midnight. six people on board each helicopter. no word on what caused the collision or if any survivors were found. we want to keep you up to date on the weather alert that shea has been tracking all morning long. you see it on the radar. >> this line is long. so it is extending from citrus county to the south. and you see how this extends more to the southwest as you get closer to sarasota. so it is going to take a little longer before it moves onshore. but it is moving into citrus county right now. so in the next half hour, it will move across pinnelas and hillsborough. and we're looking at rainfall that is coming down at a rate of an inch to an inch per half

an hour into carolwood and west chase area. and it will pool on our bridges. this is a big line that is offshore that is going to move across the area. we'll get anywhere of an inch and a half to two inches of an hour. the gusty winds have been up to 30 miles an hour. this line could bring the winds coming down. that is a sign of weakening. but it is a strong line of storms. so we'll that through the next couple hours. and what are you seeing?

triple murder and they are offering $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest. they arrested two gang members for the execution style shootings. they are facing charges for the murders. the sheriff said that joseph orchestrated the hit on the victims after they did not pay back a drug debt. and he sent the man to the magnolia street home and when they did not pay up, they were killed. and a fourth victim was shot in the face and survived. a $10,000 reward is on the table for information when two more people that may have been involved. tampa police are trying to solve a bizarre mystery this morning. they're trying to figure out who would break into a cemetery and steal four corpses. it is on north 26th street and opened this family's tomb. they are some of the ybor's prominent and founding families.

his grandmother's skull and his great grandfather's and aunt's remains are missing. they want the remains returned, no questions asked. in manatee county, the police are looking for information after a home evasion. a suspect followed a woman into her home and her husband confronted the man and thinged turned violence. the suspect followed the woman inside the house once she took out the trash. demanded money. and her husband heard the compression and fought the outside. >> her husband defended her and the next thing i know she was running just a short distance from her driveway into the street and help, help, help. >> the authorities said that the suspect ran away and they believe that he got into a car. and that is a photo of the second suspect who the deputies

but right now in our northern counties, extending into straight citrus, we have a line of heavy rain. i'm seeing gusts up to 30 miles an hour. but we may see higher wind speeds and this is moving onshore there's enough spin that we could end up with a waterspout or a little tornado. honeymoon island is going to see the brief downpours. and i-75 just around the apex downpours. you see the lightning strikes zephyrhills. the line will carry more of that and across i-4, around polk city and lakeland, heavy rain. and once the line starts to

give it about a half hour and it will move to the east. and light ening up. but you will not -- lightening up. you will not be rain-free. we'll still have a chance through rain about noon and still the potential for strong severe storms and then afternoon we'll really start to clear out, especially closer to the coastline. so we'll clear from west to east as that storm system continues to press east. and keep in mind, if you are going leave the house and you don't have an alert device own your phone, you may want to download storm shield and you'll get the alertses right away. and we'll -- alerts right away. once the storms and the rain starts to clear out around noon, you'll start to notice that the winds will come down through the afternoon. you'll see some sunshine breaking through. and the nice weather continues through saturday. and sunday, we have another quick moving frontal system as it comes through, we'll have another round of storms and a

it all morning long and the heaviest of it is on top of us now. yes. you see the big red line from citrus to the southwest. and we're going to get heavy downpours associated with the line and gustier winds. and the good news it has been weakening some as far as the thunderstorm activity. but the heavy downpours moving across 19 and pinnelas county starting to get a little break around the 275 corridor. but, again, this is all moving to the east. so once we start to see the pockets of rain coming down at about an inch and a half to almost five inches per hour. this could create some issues on the roads. and we had plenty of them. and the good news is where you see the green back here. that is the end of it. so noon, we'll start to see this tapering off and moving out of the area. i'll have more on that and

cat and they even posted a bulletin. they are so happy that she was sea -- safe all lock. we have a weather alert. yes. we have seen quite a bit of rain and quite a bit of problems on the roads. but the heaviest rain is just starting to move into pinellas county right now. you can see that heavy band just working its way around honeymoon island and palm harbor and tarpon strings and it is about to exit citrus county and i-75. and the 75 corridor will be inundated with very heavy rain here over the next 30 to 45 minutes, especially north of the apex. so let's go county to county here. you can see the heavy rain

and you'll start to see the rain lightening up in the next ten minutes. palm harbor, you're getting socked in. this heavy line will last about 30 minutes and then once it starts to lightening up, we'll get the hit-and-miss showers. so we'll cross i-75 here and south of pebble creek and temple terrace and we're seeing pockets of heavy rain. but the line is still yet to come. so you're getting the leading edge ever hit and miss rain and the same goes for polk county. but you'll get the heavy rain moving through as well. we have heavy pockets of rain and that extends into the north court area and southern sarasota county and you have more on the way. but you'll get a little break in between. so this is an area of low pressure and a weak cold front
