years welcome back. a bay area woman spent a month in a hospital struggling to recover from a vicious beating. that nearly killed her. as she healed she worried that her ex-boyfriend would return to attack her again. tonight as abc action news action reporter michael pa lousa says there is a break in the case that has her celebrating. >> christine is extremely grateful she is a domestic violence survivor and be in court to face the man that beat her nearly to death. >> they gave me my face back. and i'm eternally grateful. >> anyone meeting christine beautiful smile was temporarily lost after she suffered a brutal beating. >> her foot was coming down. >> she was interviewed in the hospital as she made a

attacker and months later it paid off. christopher anderson was arrested this morning. >> i feel like tonight for the first time in a couple of months i will be able to sleep. anderson not only punched her in the face, he stomped on her neck while wearing leaving thread mark. >> we turn a blind eye to it and the women are afraid to speak out and the next thing you know the next girlfriend is not so lucky. >> however she is lucky because other than the scars on her face she is well. the aspiring model hopes to move on with her life and anderson stays where he belongs in jail. >> that is where he belongs. the rest of us are not safe. anderson faces aggravated battery and domestic violence by strangulation.

that's a baby. and how many kids could they have nabbed out here. police say the child's mother also shaved the little girl's head claiming she had cancer and then asking for donations. right now the mother and babysitter are in jail. detectives telling us that child is finally in a safe place in state custody. accused a crime he did not commit. a man arrested for breaking into a hillsborough gun shop three brothers are innocent. xavier was held in jail for two weeks. his brothers from this surveillance video in october. stolen. he says he was out for a run during that crime. eventually cell phone records proved that he was no where near that scene. i was literally thinking of like cameras. like my neighbor might have or a store down the street that

>> and it came down to the cell phone call. yes. >> deputies say they arrested the brothers based on a witness statement but as soon as they saw inconsistencies in their investigation they requested that the state attorney's office drop all of the charges. so far four of the stolen guns have been recovered. detectives believe the guns are here in the bay area. dramatic video of a greyhound bus crash in northern california. the national transportation safety board investigating the accident that killed two people and injured 18 others. authorities say that bus overturned on a san jose highway. you see it there landing on a median and backing up traffic for several miles. still no word on what caused that crash. heavy rescue and reports of multiple people trapped with the vehicle on fire. actor jamie foxx jumps into a new role as a roadside hero pulling an injured person out

lows right around 30 to 32 in our northern counties and 36 hudson and 39 downtown in tampa and 43 in lakeland. outside right now, tampa clear skies. 46 degrees. clear water and st. pete both 49. something to look at right there. the winds are still blowing and that is very important because the only way to see freezing temperatures in any spots will be if the winds go calm and right now they weren't. i was saying at five and sick i do think they will before sunrise and with clear skies, that should allow temperatures to drop quite a bit between four and six. more than likely citrus and hernando. i doubt pasco gets down to 32. there could be a few spots away from the heating of the gulf or the cities that it might cool off more and not to mention there is cloud cover going on down south. that cloud cover will absolutely allow temperatures to be a little warmer. notice it is even lifting

so if we see any of these clouds coming in across the central and southern accounts, the temperatures will level out. it will be cold as floridians but not a huge deal and dry air has moved in and that means not a lot of cloud cover over the next couple of days. but by friday, that is when we have to turn our attention to the northwest. first things first. wednesday looks good and thursday looks good and later on in the day, and overnight we turn our attention to areas up north and a front and potentially severe weather on friday. the chances don't look quite as high this go around as the last one. but we still have to keep our eyes on it just the case and after the chilly start to wednesday. we warm back up in the mid 60s and that's below normal but on thursday, we will be back in the lower 70s where we will be back a bit above normal. for the boaters winds out of the northeast at five to ten
